I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

Morning, everyone. I slept like I'd been poleaxed last night, so unusual for me, so I'm feeling perky. In fact I slept so well, I didn't hear my DD come in at 11.30, and woke up with a start at 7am thinking she hadn't got home. She says she came in and kissed me, but I was snoring like a rhino (her description!) Blush. I need to have a productive day working today, so hoping brain is as supercharged as body.

And a quick NSV - just over three weeks ago I bought a dress from Seasalt for our holiday at the end of the month. When I tried it on, while it fitted me, it didn't suit me - had a distinct pregnant look to it under the bust. Anyway, decided to hang onto it as a back up till I looked around for something nicer. The alert I'd set on my phone to remind me it had to go back today if I wasn't keeping it pinged, so before wrapping it up, I decided to have a quick try on - and it looks MUCH better than it did - just a nice, cool, ordinary, slightly floaty summer dress now, rather than fat woman bursting out of a sack. OK, still a size 20, but one I look absolutely fine in, rather that 'this was all I could find to cover me'. Which is good, because I then tried on the Boden one I bought to replace it. It had fitted me fine three weeks ago, and is now very baggy, so I need to quickly swap that for an 18, and then I will have two new summer dresses :)

You can do it, YoLo - keep stong. The Force is with you!

My scales have barely shifted this week, keeping around the 10/11 lb mark which is annoying. However, I suspect, from the ache in my abdomen, that Auntie Flo is planning a visit, so I'm assuming she'll take loads of those persistant pounds with her when she goes. Here's hoping!

On the other hand, my jeans are getting very baggy, and I'm feeling loads better than I did just a few weeks ago. I got bloods tested in case it was something serious, but it turns out I just don't like carbs. Who knew?

herecomesthsun · 02/06/2017 09:50

Yesterday

3 x eggs and mayonnaise for breakfast

went to cinema and took 2l bottle of water with me Smile
matchbox sized piece of cheese

salad for lunch with avocado, lettuce, spinach, tomato, chicken and pancetta (went Italian with DS who had a variety of nice carby stuff, I didn't mind), another litre water and a small coffee with milk

small serving clotted cream for tea (DS had a treat at a cafe) and coffee with cream

crab with egg mayonnaise for supper
Greek yoghurt, cherries and flaked almonds.

I drink quite a bit of coffee with unsweetened almond milk also.

I have lost another kg on the scales this morning.

I am getting more used to the water, there are a lot of visits to the loo though! (must do my pelvic exercises). Probably need more veg.

Again was quite stretched for options going out and about.

MyShinyThing · 02/06/2017 09:55

My client has this up in their office, think it's the Waitrose calendar. Thought I might give it a go over the weekend minus the flatbread, might leave out the nuts as well although it says it's only 5.2g of carbs per serving.

I wasn't hungry at all this morning but now I've got to sit & look at this all morning I'll definitely be looking forward to lunch!

Fantastic ilove
I've screen shot that shiny looks good.
So pleased for you C4

Right I'm off to pack

YoLoZammo · 02/06/2017 10:30

Thanks Time. I am now at my desk eating my yog. Using Paul's method of eating slowly and consciously savouring each mouthful instead of my usual pig-at-a-trough when I'm starving. I don't think I'll finish it. I was so hungry, food never tasted so good!

C4" Glad to hear that you are doing better. I too just feel much better in myself. Less sluggish and tired. And therefore less likely to reach for the sugar hit or the caffeine hit. Only drinking one cup of coffee and one cup of tea per day now. KOKO C4* - easier now you've really felt the benefit.

YoLoZammo · 02/06/2017 10:32

Oops, massive bold fail there! Blush

Thought I'd share another tip I've learnt. I've found I don't always recognise the difference between thirst and hunger signals. So I'm downing a large glass of water before reaching for a snack and seeing if that hits the spot first.

HemanOrSheRa · 02/06/2017 10:35

Morning!

Could you link to the Seasalt dress ilove? I bought a Blackberry dress from Boden, size 20, it looks awful Confused. I have it in a size 16 from last summer and that too tight, obviously. Although I know it has shrunk in the wash (lengthwise anyway). I don't want to look a complete scruff while I'm losing weight!

I'm glad you are feeling better C4 Smile.

I've been sleeping like a log on BC after the initial few nights. However, last night and the night before we're rubbish. The only difference is DP has come in from work and made me a cup of tea. So I'm going to leave off that and see what happens.

I really did not fancy food first thing. I had a small creamy coffee and that was enough. I've brought two hb eggs to work with me if I need something before my lunch.

Naschkatze · 02/06/2017 10:37

Mandelinka Grin amazing that you breastfed so long!

Glad you're feeling better today C4.

nekobus · 02/06/2017 10:55

That's great to hear, c4, a good nights sleep can make a huge difference. I've been sleeping right through for the past 2 nights when previously I woke up and had to take painkillers in the night. I'm definitely on the mend.

YoLo your post made me smile, I spend all week chasing use by dates so dinner is pretty much what meat or fish needs used up. I end up freezing too much as it's about to go off.

Today:
B - 2 hb eggs and butter, tea and soya, creamy coffee
L - probably salad as I have avocado to use up, might do haloumi
D - BBQ I've bought lots of LC meat and the others can have buns if they want. I tasted a fab courgette and chilli salad recently, might try that spiralised on the side. Swap balsamic for white wine or cider vinegar

heman, Yes, the blackberry looked awful on me as well in a 20, and my chest distorted the top terribly, showing masses of Bra cup at the armholes. It's the Pheobe that I'm changing for an 18 - it's quite a long dress though, and while I usually take a long, I've already changed it for a regular. It's not knock your world on fire, it's a Boden dress, after all, but it suits me and it's comfortable. Another Boden one that suits several of my larger friends is the Casual Jersey Dress, but it doesn't accommodate my chest, even in a 22, although it's then massive everywhere else. If you dont have a huge chest though, I'm told it's true to size. This is the seasalt one www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk/women/plus-size/carnmoggas-printed-bamboo-long-dress_washed_boats_lugger.htm

Daisy62 · 02/06/2017 10:58

flummoxed I think you may be right that I'll eat even more carbs tonight if I cut fat during the day, so will just have small portion lunch but with fat. Haven't fancied breakfast yet but may go with small amount of Greek yogurt. Couldn't resist weighing (wish I could stop... Am thinking of taking the batteries out and putting them back in on Mondays) and am same weight as Monday. Bit disappointed as have not been snacking and yesterday was careful with cheese. I've got 9lbs to lose now, maybe loss is slower if not a lot to lose? Thinking maybe I'll do another week or strict bootcamp.

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 10:59

Again, not set your world on fire, but it's a summer dress, at the end of the day. I need it to keep me cool and comfortable.

Mandelinka · 02/06/2017 11:00

I know, If I didn't put my foot down, I'm sure my DS would still be latched now, aged nearly 4... bless his little socks, he is a boobie obsessed child for sure Grin

Mandelinka · 02/06/2017 11:02

Today's breakfast, duck pate mixed with butter, egg, salami, celery, radish, avo, saured cream. Had to stop half way thru as was far too full

ChesterDrawers · 02/06/2017 11:03

Glad to hear people are feeling refreshed after some good sleep. And a little bit jealous!

Our new dog (new to us anyway) had a bad night last night and cried from when we went to bed at 10.30 til after 1.30pm. She's quite anxious around people she doesn't know and we'd had two lots of visitors yesterday which we think had unsettled her. There was just no calming her, as soon as we left the room she was howling the house down. Typically she's now snoring in her bed Hmm

Today's plan:
B: three cups of black superstrength coffee (see above)
L: skin on chicken thighs, salad with olive oil, mayo
D: I have a spag bol in the slow cooker, courgetti

Mandelinka · 02/06/2017 11:06

I seem to enjoy some sort of a dip type dish for breakfast to have with veg/cheese

So far I had:

  • smoked salmon, cream cheese, mayo, scallions
  • mashed egg with chives, mayo, cheese
  • pate and butter

I usually prepare this the night before and it lasts me at least 2 breakfasts. Will do tuna next

ChesterDrawers · 02/06/2017 11:06

Nekobus would you mind typing out that salad recipe? I can't see it very well on my computer. We're BBQing tomorrow and I think that would be really nice.

HemanOrSheRa · 02/06/2017 11:10

Ooh that is really pretty ilove. It's sold out in the 20, I may chance an 18. The Blackberry dress was the same on me. Huge armholes!

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 11:12

In your bikini you looked smaller than me round the tummy and the chest, I'd have thought the 18 would be fine.

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 11:19

Hmm, that might sound wrong. Don't mean it in a horrible comparison way, just as a fact about which dress might fit you, if we both looked crap in the same sized blackberry!

HemanOrSheRa · 02/06/2017 11:23

Heehee! I know what you meant ilove Smile. I'm going to order it and a short sleeved millpool dress and see. I can always send it back. I'll kick myself in a couple of weeks when it's sold out! The Boden dress is definitely going back!

Cookingongas · 02/06/2017 11:23

Chester - I'm sure you've probably tried it, but when I got my dog she cried at night, and we eventually cracked it by giving her a hot water bottle to cuddle.

GinForTea · 02/06/2017 11:25

Well, for various reasons i got stinking drunk last night. The scales are reporting a 1lb loss but that's probably dehydration. So annoyed with myself, instead of dwelling on it I'm just trying to be pragmatic; all I can do is try and make today better.
So:
B: emergency hot peperami (once I'd stopped feeling sick)
L: shallots and courgette fried in butter, with 2 poached eggs and 2 black farmer sausages.
D: fried halloumi salad.
S: trying not to. Have mini mozzarella's and salami if needed

(I have posted before and im on the spreadsheet but I NC regularly)
