I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

Here you go Chester

Marinaded courgette salad
60ml vinegar
60ml lemon juice
2 tbsp finely grated lemon zest
2 red chillies deseeded and finely chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
600g courgette thinly sliced (could be spiralised?)
Baby basil leaves to serve

Mix the dressing ingredients in a bowl (everything except courgette and basil)
Add courgette and toss to coat
Leave for 10 minutes
Serve with basil scattered over
Serves 4-6

Ooh thanks for the tip Cooking, we did that years ago with our old puppy and it worked really well. Will give it a try tonight.

Poor little girl has been passed around from pillar to post so we're sure she thinks everyone who comes to the house is going to take her away Sad

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 11:31

heman, be aware millpool is HUGE. I'm wearing a 16 in it (and I was doing that nearly a stone ago!)

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 11:31

18, sorry. Having a wee fantasy there!

ChesterDrawers · 02/06/2017 11:33

Thanks Neko, it's on the list!

BIWI · 02/06/2017 11:41

@Yorkshirebornandbread

I'm getting my big stick out now. In almost all your posts you talk about drinking 1.5litres or water or say you haven't drunk enough water but you'll 'try'. It doesn't seem to me that you're really trying very hard!

Even just another half a litre - which is one large glass - would be easy to fit in.

It's really important!

HemanOrSheRa · 02/06/2017 11:45

Thanks ilove! I've just ordered it in a 16 in a colour that is my second choice and a 14 in my first choice, which was the only size left I think!

ASDismynormality · 02/06/2017 11:56

Inspired by others here I decided to raid my cupboard and try on some old clothes - I fit into a size 18 Fatface skirt and a size 16 M&S top, neither were my usual stretchy fabric choice with room to grow either! Really feeling the difference!

ilovecherries · 02/06/2017 12:01

It's great, isn't it, ASD. I've explained to the kids and DH that this is an important health decision I've made, and how their support will make all the difference to me, blah, blah. But really? I suspect it's about wanting lots of nice clothes! (Shallow but probably true!)

Nowwhatsthis · 02/06/2017 12:06

I have read the rules and seen that I am meant to have read through all bootcamp threads prior to commenting which I haven't done so I apologise!

I've been lurking here for the last few days and started low carbing on Tuesday - it's gone really wells so far! So I wanted to just pop in and say hi, I hope that's ok.

I started a thread earlier this week about DP not being supportive of LCHF even though it has worked for me in the past. We've had a discussion and he has promised to be supportive, even if "he doesn't agree with it".

I've had a look at the spreadsheet and saw that most people did lose weight in the first week so well done all of you!

GinForTea · 02/06/2017 12:09

Unusual very welcome side effect I've noticed is my facial hair. I have 4/5 very dark hairs on my chin. I have a 3 weekly wait for them to be long enough too epillate. They're now 10 days overdue, my chin is absolutely smooth.
I had a poke on emedicine, and it seems that both the increased oestrogen released from fat cells and lower insulin increase the inactivation of testosterone. Awesome Grin

@Nowwhatsthis

You couldn't possibly read all the Bootcamp threads, unless you have a few years to spare!!!

But it is important to read all the posts on each chat thread, otherwise you'll miss out on valuable information as well as lots of lovely recipes

Welcome Smile Flowers

RedBeanie · 02/06/2017 12:21

Is it really really bad to have orange squash?

And melon fingers - perhaps for BC lite?

RedBeanie · 02/06/2017 12:21

Hate plain water or sparkling water! And creamy tea and coffee isn't doing it for me :(

Nowwhatsthis · 02/06/2017 12:29

Thanks BIWI Smile

Daisy62 · 02/06/2017 12:36

Drinking water... I was having trouble with this, but find that when I'm mainly at home it helps to fill bottles with the day's quantity and put in fridge. When I'm out I log water on my fitbit. Before I had a fitbit I had an app that buzzed every hour and I logged the water on that. Think it was called Water my Body.

BIWI · 02/06/2017 12:38

Yes, @RedBeanie it is! Squash is full of sugar, or - if you're buying NAS/no added sugar, it's full of artificial sweeteners, both of which aren't allowed on Bootcamp.

Melon is possibly OK in moderation - but it depends on the type of melon - check the carb counts via Google

Daisy62 · 02/06/2017 12:40

redbeanie I keep a jug of water in the fridge with cucumber, mint and lemon slices in it. The fruit will keep going for a few days if you just top it up with more water. Maybe that would work for you if you don't like water?

styledilemma · 02/06/2017 12:45

You need to cut the babybel into bits. 4/6 pieces and I put them in a silicone bake tray. 1 minute and they were lush. I then tried exploded Edam and leerdammer and both worked ok but not as good as babybel

Thank youAdelinde

AdalindSchade · 02/06/2017 12:45

It's probably ok to have a small amount of no sugar squash on bclite but only a bit.
Melon probably too sugary but I don't know.
Have you tried getting a small bottle of fizzy water and putting a fruit tea bag in it in the morning, after a couple of hours it infuses with flavour and makes a totally sugar and sweetener free drink.

styledilemma · 02/06/2017 12:46

ChesterI never thought to use a bit of oil first to stop it sticking.

JustRosieHere · 02/06/2017 12:49

Hi Now. I've only just joined in this chat and it took me a good while to catch up just this one!

Water wise I manage 3l a day by filling a 750ml bottle. I aim to drink one by 10am, one by 1pm, one by 5pm and another by 8pm. I find this works well for me.

styledilemma · 02/06/2017 12:49

Which cream do you use in coffee? Only ever put milk in mine.

JustRosie I've found that M&S Double Cream tastes nice in coffee. It tastes richer than other creams I've tried.

Daisy62 · 02/06/2017 12:50

Adalind that's a good idea, putting fruit tea bag in a bottle of fizzy water, I'm going to do that right now!

styledilemma · 02/06/2017 12:56

And a quick NSV - just over three weeks ago I bought a dress from Seasalt for our holiday

Cherries, I wonder if you bought the same dress as I want. I couldn't get it as they have sold out of the longer length Sad
