I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

1.6lbs on! Very disheartened as I stuck to the rules apart from one small slip on Friday when one glass of wine with dinner turned into three! However, I haven't pooed all week and AF has just started so I am hoping that this isn't a true reflection and next week will be more encouraging.

I was tempted to adopt my usual tactics of just chucking it all in at the first setback and indulging in a big sugary treat to 'cheer myself up' but I thought I would confess on here and be cheered up by hearing of all your positive results instead! Well done on all those great losses - hopefully I'll be joining the celebrations next week.

littlebillie · 29/05/2017 08:55

I've lost 3lbs this week and survived one of the carby weekends of the year as we had a sleepover (needed gin) and a BBQ and avoided the crisps, sweets etc. I am very pleased.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 29/05/2017 08:55

I'm not going my weight but measurements and how clothes fit/feel.

I'm much less bloated which has taken an inch off the measurement round my belly button. I'm sleeping brilliantly too.

Well done to everyone who has lost. Smile

secretsignal · 29/05/2017 09:01

Thanks wombattoo. Have just reminded myself how much 1.8 lb is by putting random things on my kitchen scales and have decided it's not too shabby after all. Am excited for this week, good luck all!

ASDismynormality · 29/05/2017 09:03

4.25lbs gone here, really pleased as I'm a few months into this.

I just booked a holiday to America next year, the more I lose the less uncomfortable I will be when flying so that's definitely great motivation!

PlymouthMaid1 · 29/05/2017 09:04

Just weighed myself and scales say 12 5 1/4. Which means I have lost over four pounds which is amazing for me. I did ww perfectly for a year once and only lost about a pound a month. If I hadn't eaten so much cheese who knows what could have happened? Well done everyone and thanks for the support on this thread it really helps. Won't be able to input my weight u until on a real computer.

HemanOrSheRa · 29/05/2017 09:05

OldBooks If your measurements are stable and you had Carby Saturday then I reckon you are fine and doing well Smile. Maybe try and drink more water today if you can?

JiminnyCricket · 29/05/2017 09:06

1lb off for me this week, but I lost 8lbs last week randomly so I was actually expecting to stay the same, so well chuffed with that :)

ChesterDrawers · 29/05/2017 09:07

Mummy please don't be disheartened. AF will most definitely be responsible for your gain and the lack of, errrmm, movement so if you stick with it, I'm certain you'll have a great result next week.

Try and focus on the positives - how do you feel in yourself? Any clothes fitting better? Have you enjoyed the food?

I'd recommend planning some lovely BC friendly meals and snacks and really focussing on the positives and see how you do this time next week.

nextchapterplease · 29/05/2017 09:07

Morning all well done on some fab losses !
So motivating reading them all - I can't weigh today as we are on holiday in Cornwall for half term.

Weighed before we left and was 3lbs down after 5 days.

Realistically I am going to struggle this week to be totally strict - but feel like I have reset my carbiness so that I am at least making good choices whenever possible - yesterday I had
B - bacon and eggs
L - a prawn and mayo salad ( off menu as they only had sandwiches on the menu !)
D - spaghetti bolognese with courgette spaghetti

There were some minor indiscretions too but I am thinking if I can do damage limitation I can always do an extra week of bootcamp when we get home !
Good luck all

CaptainBraandPants · 29/05/2017 09:08

WooHoo. Some brilliant losses here, well done.
For those that are disappointed, please persevere. Weight loss isn't linear - there were quite a few good weight loss graphs shown last BC with wiggly lines. The important thing is that if you stick with it, the trend will be down. Also, with this woe whooshes are quite common. What I mean by that is that that weight stalls for 2-3 weeks (although if you measure, you will be getting smaller) then suddenly whoosh! you'll lose 3-4 lbs. Stuntnun explained it at some point - the fat in the cells are replaced by water initially, then will eventually release it, hence the whoosh.
Short version - if you are disappointed koko (not a Nigerian pussyGrin). Flowers

nightsky well done, its like a cheap shopping trip, isn't it?
Sayrra thanks for the new thread.

I'm not weighing, but pleased with how this week has gone and going to do a bit of trying on of clothes later. The trousers I was wearing yesterday were hanging off me; I didn't need to undo the zip to pull them down. I did enjoy wearing them around the house, but couldn't have worn them out. Smile

explodingkittens · 29/05/2017 09:10

Morning losers!

I've STS, which is actually kind of a nice surprise considering there was a fair bit of booze going on last week. Also my period just arrived (oh hai backache) so all in all not a disaster.

But...since I've been LCing for a while now I do think there has been a bit of carb creep anyway, despite the prosecco, so will be making an extra effort this week. Am on annual leave for most of the week so can get the water levels up and try to cut back on dairy a bit, and see how it goes.

Well done everyone and KOKO!

NigellasGuest · 29/05/2017 09:10

OldBooks your flow chart is inspirational - I'm going to do one! Sometimes if I have a craving I try to imagine what I will feel like after giving in and harness that feeling in advance to stop me doing it if that makes sense.
I'm not weighing in - I'm not on the spreadsheet this time round - Just going by the mirror and how my clothes feel/look - especially the waistband! After all no one else knows what you weigh but they can see you in your clothes. And sometimes the scales can say you've gained but you actually look slimmer - I don't know why.

sheepysheep · 29/05/2017 09:15

I'm down a pound - could someone please amend me to 139 as I have no access to a computer today? Thank you

Well done on some fantastic losses! And to those who haven't lost, don't worry, it will happen - I've been low carbing consistently since Boxing Day 2015 and weight loss on this WOE is not linear. Try not to get despondent - even on the weeks you don't lose on the scales you will hopefully feel less bloated and more comfortable in your clothes and eating like this makes you feel much, much better so please don't feel it isn't working just on the basis of a number on the scales. KOKO!!!

NamelessEnsign · 29/05/2017 09:22

Wow, it took a lot of clicking through threads to track you all down! I couldn't really keep up with the last thread but I am still here and have stayed on course despite some horrendous sleep deprivation (kids conspiring), a 16 hour day at work, and two meals out. So I'm proud of myself!

2.8lbs off since last Monday - but 5lb since I started weighing two weeks ago, and most importantly I am trending down instead of bouncing up and down the same few pounds.

I needed to lose about 15lbs as a minimum so another way of thinking about it is 33% of target! And if I can lose 25lbs (1/5 of the way) I'll be at my all time optimum weight.

More importantly I feel gooooood and my cravings (except caffeine) are gone!

Kleptronic · 29/05/2017 09:25

I'm down 1.6lb which is good for me, because I'm on my 12th week.

Going camping so may slip a bit. I do have Lidl protein rolls though.

Well done to everyone for making it through the first week, some great losses there.

If you haven't lost, don't worry, KOKO - as someone upthread said, the fat cells take in water initially and then will let it go, you'll get a whoosh sooner or later if you keep on.

NamelessEnsign · 29/05/2017 09:25

Ooh and my BMI has dipped under 25!

wombattoo · 29/05/2017 09:26

sheep - done

nekobus · 29/05/2017 09:27

Morning losers!! What great results.

I've lost 3.5 pounds and very happy with that as my activity levels are way down (although hobbling about on crutches must be burning calories as I balance my 13st on my arms and good leg) and I've had some alcohol and a bit of carbs at a BBQ on Saturday. Regretted it yesterday as it caused havoc with my bowels! Wish I had a dog to blame the smells on.....

Must remember my weigh includes a heavy plaster cast (the old fashioned kind so v heavy) and I'm wondering how much the metal plate weighs 🤔 as I will now always have that!!

Old I love your flow chart! I've always wanted to do a bullet journal (and have a whole Pinterest board with ideas) but never seem to get round to it!

Mummy and others with AF here or on its way - you should see a whoosh on scales after, be patient and don't fall off the wagon in the meantime. I'm a long term LC-er and my periods have gone from being really painful, nearly fainting, terrible bowel probs and having to take time off work to now I get no warning that it's coming and only lasts a few days and is super light with barely any pain. LC has seriously been amazing for this.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 29/05/2017 09:30

Well I've lost 2.5 lbs this week. Not bad, especially as clothes are definitely looser around the waist, I I know I have gone off piste slightly this week.

I must say, though, I love how supportive everyone here is. I tried this a few years ago, when I really wasn't in the right place to go completely the whole hog, but I desperately needed the support (not just diet wise) so did my best and joined in, until someone utterly vilified me for admitting eating a potato (had thought about lying, decided not to then really wished I had). I love the fact this is such a mixed group of BCers and BCliters and how nobody's taking offence, even though we are being reminded of the rules from time to time (which is what we need, am not complaining!).

Anyway, thanks, everyone. Let's KOKO, onwards and downwards!!!

JuniorMint · 29/05/2017 09:31

Well done everyone Flowers I'm down 4lbs this week from 125lbs to 121lbs, very pleased. Can't do spreadsheet on my phone so will try to update on laptop later.

Had some great eggs for breakfast yesterday- melted cheese (in the oven on parchment paper) to make little "baskets" in a muffin tin, with an egg cracked into the and baked. Served with spinach leaves, lovely!

ShastaBeast · 29/05/2017 09:37

Well done everyone.

I just weighed in after my normal Sunday weigh in and I've gained a pound in a day! So all my week's loss back on in one day and I've stuck to the rules rigidly. I suspect my meds are reducing my losses as they slow my digestion which leaves me dehydrated no matter how much I drink.

I will leave yesterday's weight on the spreadsheet and hope it's a blip. Giving up my morning raspberries in yoghurt has not helped at all. Confused

According to MFP I should weigh 139 next Sunday just on calories but I'm back to 144. I have no desire to go back to carbs, except those raspberries, but it's clearly not working as well for me for some reason.

dustmotesinthesun · 29/05/2017 09:37

I can't keep up at the moment but well done on all the losses! Great work

Please no one waste a momemt being despondent. You really do need to look at how you're doing month to month rather than week to week on this in many ways.

achangeisgonnacome · 29/05/2017 09:38

2lbs off, so am happy with that.

Well done fellow losers, and for those that didn't, please don't give up and KOKO.

Going to have my breakfast now, which will be boiled eggs and ham.

Later DP and I are going for a long walk that'll end up in a pub somewhere.

Dinner, not even thought about that- but there are a couple of lamb chops in the fridge so maybe those.

sheepysheep · 29/05/2017 09:48

Thanks Wombat
