Welcome all!

I see that there are almost 130 of us signed up for this one, which is brilliant.

I'm starting the week 1 thread a little early, as I'm away this evening and won't be back home until mid-morning tomorrow, and I know you all want to get cracking Grin

So, without further ado, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

If your name isn't on it, just add yourself at the bottom. Don't worry about the alphabetisation - wombattoo will sort that out later. Add your weight, but don't touch the blue cells!

It's up to you when you weigh; I'll start a new chat thread each Monday, with a link to the spreadsheet, but if you feel happier weighing on a Friday (or any other day) then it's totally up to you.

Oh and carb flu doesn't usually involves sniffles I don't think? Just aches and pains, headache and feeling heavy. It could be that you have cold or real flu?

PaulineFowlersGrowler · 28/10/2016 22:01

Looks like I'll have to duck out for a few days at least, possibly forever Sad. Stuck to it religiously, was feeling pretty good then last night I had the most horrendous stomach pains, and I am currently in the gastro ward of the hospital with problems with my liver and pancreas. NOT caused by the diet, but possibly an existing condition exacerbated by the high fat diet. Or just a co incidence, they dont know yet. The hospital food is carb-a-liscious and gross. Good luck to everyone, you can do it!

wombattoo · 28/10/2016 22:04

Pauline I am sorry to hear you're unwell and in hospital. Thanks I wish you a speedy recovery and good wishes.

Polkadotties · 29/10/2016 07:47

pengweng thank you for the fish curry recipe, it was me who asked for it.
Pauline hope you feel better soon

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 29/10/2016 07:55

BIWI · 29/10/2016 08:02

MNRandom · 29/10/2016 09:10

I hope you recover quickly Pauline. Will you keep us updated to your progress please? I do hope it isn't diet related. Sending flowers & chocolates

Pengweng · 29/10/2016 13:27

pauline i hope you feel much better soon!

Todays menu is
Breakfast was a small bowl of ff greek yoghurt as wasn't massively hungry so just ate a little bit (100grams).

Lunch was home made burger. Just mince and salt and pepper with salad of leaves, a few tomatoes, cucumber, basil, oil and half a ball of mozzarella.

Dinner to be confirmed but most likely all the things in the fridge which need eating including a chicken thigh, some prawns, a few slices of cheese, some olives and a few other random things. I will put mayo on it all Grin

Off to a spooky train ride tonight with the DTs so they will probably eat out for dinner which makes it a bit easier for me to clear the fridge.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend. Back to school on Monday boo!!!!

concretejungle · 29/10/2016 13:57

Hello, I'm here! I haven't read the thread yet, but will do so tonight.

Need to refresh myself on the rules too, so sticking to the few things I know are ok - eggs and butter so far!

Day one for me - a little late, but I'm firmly on the wagon. Weighing in at 171lbs Blush. Looking forward to being under 140lb by Christmas again.

Can someone update the spreadsheet for me please?

Thanks, back later.

lisbapalea · 29/10/2016 13:59

Have impressed dh with my discipline this week - didn't succumb to any boozy temptation last night and actually stayed awake in front of TV a lot later than usual ( am usually asleep on the sofa by 10) so am putting the new stamina down to diet!

Today:
B - egg fried in butter, half an avocado with Tabasco and coriander and 3 rashers bacon
L - salad of random LC leftovers from the fridge
D - this damndelicious.net/2014/11/22/chicken-sun-dried-tomato-cream-sauce/#_a with broccoli and cavolo Nero

SeasideRock · 29/10/2016 15:39

Right - back from Italy and raring to go. Especially since I appear to have put on 9 pounds in the space of a week. Is that even possible?! I was being fairly strict LC before I left but even so.... I didn't gorge by any means..., just had pasta and bread and Wine. And ONE ice cream. Horrific.

SeasideRock · 29/10/2016 15:41

Oh - meant to ask - could someone add my starting weight as 205? I can't seem to add it on the spreadsheet.

PlantpotPookins · 29/10/2016 16:19

Late to the party but added my name and starting weight. Thank you people who do Spreadsheet.

Im eating Paleo so no dairy or processed food for me but have already lost two stone so this lowish carb works for me really well.

BIWI · 29/10/2016 16:48

PlantPot - welcome! Just be aware that paleo isn't Bootcamp!

OP posts:
PlantpotPookins · 29/10/2016 17:34

Well thank you BIWI :) No, I know that bootcamp is much stricter than paleo but I will not post my food menus as I know it wont help anyone being super strict. But if its ok i will join in and record losses to keep me motivated. Some days I do do stricter low carb but basically stick to paleo.
Thanks.

FurryTurnip · 29/10/2016 18:45

Thanks wombattoo for adding me to the spreadsheet!

A good day today:

B: FF greek yogurt, tbsp double cream and some ground flaxseed
L: 2 boiled eggs, mayo, chunks cheese
D: cauliflower 'rice', sautéed courgette, halloumi.
S: handful of almonds (am on veggie LC!)

Now got to enjoy my sparkling water whilst watching Strictly! Good luck everyone.

Veryflummoxed · 29/10/2016 18:48

Breakfast was yogurt. Lunch leftover meat and swede with salad. Dinner left over gammon and parsley sauce with LC veg and poached eggs. Water black/green/herb tea. All the left overs used up now I think so start afresh tomorrow.

feekerry · 29/10/2016 19:00

I downloaded the docs thing to my iPad so will spend some time tomorrow adding any folks weights that haven't been added Smile

Piscivorus · 29/10/2016 19:07

I have just made the butter chicken sauce from the Idiot Proof Diet book but, instead of chicken, added salmon and prawns then a handful of spinach before serving on cauli rice. Yum!

nekobus · 29/10/2016 19:14

Day 7 and still sticking with it Smile but I do find the weekend hard as that's when I usually like a drink or 2 and we eat out at least once, plus there always seems to be a kids party to go to. I did a sneaky weigh yesterday and things are moving in the right direction.

Today:
B - heck square sausage, fried egg, spinach, coffee & cream
L - salad leaves with shredded ham hock & dressing, FF yog & cream with cinnamon and vanilla
D - pizza express, not great but I had the melanzane (baked aubergine dish with tomato and cheese) and left most of the tomato sauce and the bechamel, also had a Diet Coke as a treat - first sweetener since starting BC and it tasted so sweet (not going to make a habit of it but I'm a bit bored of fizzy water when out...)
S - babybel, tea & soya, hb egg

Yesterday:
B - hb egg and butter, coffee and cream
L - picnic of olives, chorizo, cheese
D - heck square sausage, fried courgette & mushrooms, salad & dressing
S - hb egg & Mayo, cucumber & pate

nekobus · 29/10/2016 19:16

I mean day 6 of course! And piscivorus that sounds lovely and reminds me I've got the IPD book too - love the curried cauliflower soup from there.

Pengweng · 29/10/2016 19:22

I am really proud of myself! We all went out to a halloween thing in the park and i didn't realise there would be fresh hot donuts and ice cream and hot dogs and chips. All of which my children and husband consumed while i drank my water and ran around with glow sticks instead. The smell of the fried onions nearly tempted me but i was strong!

Just eaten some prawns in mayo and lemon juice with avocado, half a ball of mozzarella with sun dried tomatoes and a chicken thigh which DH deals with the sugar laden children and bedtime Grin.

Pengweng · 29/10/2016 19:23

*while DH deals with the hyper children

plumstone · 29/10/2016 19:36

Hi all, thanks for adding me. Holiday almost over and heading back to normal life on Monday. Have been good all week, apart from a couple of days and it was what I drank as opposed to what I ate - will just leave it as that!!

Question : what is the situation with seeds, flax, pumpkin and sunflower, I have been adding them to my total Greek yogurt and double cream fairly liberally and had a moment and am now wondering if they are like nuts, i.e. Not for the first two weeeks and then not often? I do like them for texture!!

Also made my pork belly and chorizo stew without the chick peas - bloody lovely and warm which at this time of year I am a big fan of - loathe a salad when it's cold, this may become my staple lunch till Christmas!!!!

Have a great rest of weekend! Xoxo
