Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once again

A horribly busy week for me, so apologies if I'm not around quite so much Sad

I hope the scales have been kind to you, but don't forget to take your measurements as well.

Hope you all have a good week

You guys are brilliant. Inspired now and ready to get that thing in the oven. So funny - all a new world for me.

Love kedgeree so now going to look into how to make it with cauli rice. And had assumed celeriac was highish carb, but like the look of all your posts so will recheck. Love the cauli mash, but nice to ring the changes sometimes.

DD's party tomorrow .Amazing cake and not sure if I'll be able to resist a slice. But if I do - will try to do everything else by the book...

Veryflummoxed · 18/06/2016 23:35

Food today, same as yesterday except I didn't have soup. Reading the tea conversation yesterday inspired me to try the gingerbread tea. So glad I did. Apart from mint tea, I've never really enjoyed herbal teas I've tried in the past but the gingerbread was lovely so I think I'll try some more. (Half price in Tesco at the moment as well)

Mookbark · 19/06/2016 07:21

I want belly pork now...
Had a good day yesterday, but for the first time in ages, I think I didn't quite drink all my water. Lost count, but think I was at the 2.5L mark. I always find the water harder at the weekend. No logical reason for that, really. And I haven't pooed, I think the two may be connected. So, going to ensure I drink my quota today.
Food yesterday:
B - two creamy coffees
L - 1.5 hard boiled eggs, with a dollop of mayo on each half, halloumi, olives and green salad with vinaigrette
D - two sausages, mashed cauli, broccoli and mange tout
S - spicy chai latte with one square 90% choc, chunk of Brie

Today, planning:
B and L same as yesterday, although I might manage two whole eggs if a DS doesn't nick half.
D - roast chicken, mashed celeriac/ leek, broccoli, green beans, sausage meat stuffing, gravy from the juices. Strawberries and cream for pudding
S - spicy chai latte

Not seeing my DF as he's on his way back from holiday and not really doing much for DH - as he's dairy free and not drinking beer at the moment, couldn't get him the usual beer and white chocolate combo, so not goodies for me to resist! DS3 has got him a sponge and some air freshener that he has said DH can take into the toilet with him. Grin

NotdeadyetBOING · 19/06/2016 08:35

If anyone who knows what they are doing can update my weight (132 lbs) would be great. Many thanks. Scared of screwing it up.

Flisspaps · 19/06/2016 09:05

Hmm. I've gone from a low of 174.6 midweek to 177 today. I wish for a magical 3lb loss overnight.

DH and the kids have been away since Friday so I've not really bothered with proper meals for the last 2 days, and although I've tried to make low carb choices there's been too much processed meat, too much dairy and not enough veg or water.

I've had an upset stomach for the last two nights so something isn't agreeing with me.

I've stocked up the freezer with veg and lovely fatty meat so I'm looking forward to DH and the kids getting home and cooking some proper meals again. Not hungry right now so having a herbal tea and writing a rough meal plan for the week.

flyright · 19/06/2016 09:21

Ha ha Mookbark. Love your DS's Father's Day present!

bettyblueeyes83 · 19/06/2016 10:45

Flisspaps that keeps happening to me, it's so frustrating when you've seen the lower weight and you can't get back to it and it seems to even out to a long plateau. But my scales tell me my body fat percentage is steadily going down and my clothes are looser so I'm trying to keep the faith and KOKO. And I weighed this morning and it seemed like the whoosh fairy has visited but I don't want to jinx it as I've got a feeling I'll be back up again tomorrow morning just in time for weigh in...

Eva50 · 19/06/2016 13:32

I wish the whoosh fairy would visit me! I think I'm going to go back to bootcamp for a week (or two if I can bear it) to see if get things mooooving again. I did Atkins a few many years ago and had a similar response but I'm determined to hang in for the ten weeks.

WanHeda · 19/06/2016 13:39

Had the sausage casserole from Lean in 15 for lunch, yum!

Mookbark · 19/06/2016 14:06

Had a hb egg, prawn and avocado salad for lunch, with lots of mayo. I was going to take a photo as it looked so pretty, but I was too impatient to eat it. Trouble was, I couldn't finish it because I was too full. I was gutted. I considered forcing myself to eat it, but thought that wasn't the best idea. So, I've put it in a container and if I get peckish later, I'll have it.
I've done much better with my drinking today and will easily exceed my 3L target.
I've chosen five new recipes to try this week, two from the IPD cookbook that Reggae reminded me about and three from a website called Paleoleap. First one I'm trying is biryani chicken tomorrow, I just need to remember to marinade the chicken overnight.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday and good luck with the weighing tomorrow. It looks as if I'm on course for a small (

Mookbark · 19/06/2016 14:07

Wan that's another cookbook I forgot I had, I'll have to look in there for ideas as well.

PlayNice · 19/06/2016 14:25

I have had two horrendous days for food. I'm ashamed. I had earmarked Friday as a 'off' day, but on Saturday we went to Ottolenghi's Nopi, which is pretty much a low carb restaurant. Burrata to start, and scallops and cod over courgettes as a main, which would have been perfect except I ordered polenta fries on the side and then had ice cream. Shame on me. I would have enjoyed it just as much without them - especially the polenta fries.

Still, I'm going to the Big Easy tomorrow, where they do a whole lobster, steamed in butter, so I will hopefully prove to myself there that I am capable of having a nice night out without going mad. Must stay strong. I really want to still be seeing a 9 on the scales come Tuesday morning when I land in Portugul.

PlayNice · 19/06/2016 14:35

(Thank you for the half price Tesco tea tip! I'm nearly out).

I'm loving all the food ideas - I've never made kedgeree, but it sounds incredible. I will have to try it.

Also, StuntNun, some people just never seem to 'get it' when it comes to diets. My mum sounds the exact same way as your husband - she just doesn't ever seem to click that beans and pulses aren't low carb, let alone things like milk. She also thought that (for her diet) dark chocolate and almond butter were both low calorie Hmm. Sometimes I worry I've become terribly boring when I decide to start telling people about insulin spikes for fun...

Flisspaps · 19/06/2016 14:49

I've bought the green salted caramel tea today. I don't like green tea but had heard rave reviews about how lovely this was. It's passable, but it's got a bitter aftertaste, and it's not as caramelly as I'd been led to believe.

Bought two bloody boxes as well because it was half price and I'd been lied to told how delicious it was!

Is the gingerbread one similar?

MaryThorne · 19/06/2016 15:10

Just catching up with the thread after a busy few days. Went to a wedding yesterday and went a bit off track with a couple of small spoonfuls of caramelised apple and ice cream from the dessert. It could have been much worse though - I offloaded my potatoes to DH, my Yorkshire pudding to DS and politely declined the lovely looking Lindt chocolates. I didn't feel I was missing out though - the small bit of pudding I did have tasted super sweet and was more than enough. I need to drink my water for today this afternoon though as I'm way behind.

ReggaeShark · 19/06/2016 15:21

Thanks for the Paleo Leap idea MookBark. The chicken biryani looks gorgeous. Let us know what it's like. So far today:
English breakfast of bacon eggs mushrooms and one tomato
Left over cauli kedgeree
Planning to do pork in a blue cheese sauce with some spring greens that need eating
Loads of h2o.

LaserShark · 19/06/2016 15:46

PlayNice I've been away for the weekend and food-wise it has been...not ideal.

Kedgeree is a family favourite, will deffo try it with cauli rice.

wombattoo · 19/06/2016 16:08

Gcal thank you for emailing me the recipes Thanks

WanHeda · 19/06/2016 16:35

Thank you from me too gcal!

I don't like any flavoured green tea, they all have a bitter after taste no matter how I make them (I looked up instructions online). I love Teapigs and other flavoured teas though, as long as it isn't green. Love Apple & Cinnamon, Buttermint and Strawberries & Cream.

WanHeda · 19/06/2016 17:26

Chilli lettuce wraps here tonight.

ReggaeShark · 19/06/2016 17:28

Looks gorgeous Wan. Re tea, I'm addicted to Tea Pigs liquorice and peppermint. But too many can raise your blood pressure apparently Confused

wombattoo · 19/06/2016 17:51

Wan they look fantastic

NotdeadyetBOING · 19/06/2016 19:24

Mmmm - pork belly was yummy. Was slightly bemused when I took them out of the oven as looked like a pile of wobbly fat (so not hugely appetising) and kids looked horrified. Then realised you cut the fat off and find the lovely juicy meat inside. DUH! Told you I was a novice at this stuff and way out of my comfort zone. Yummy!

WanHeda · 19/06/2016 19:27

I never waste the fat! Grin it's the best bit!
