Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once again

A horribly busy week for me, so apologies if I'm not around quite so much Sad

I hope the scales have been kind to you, but don't forget to take your measurements as well.

Hope you all have a good week

Moring all. If someone is going on the spreadsheet could they put me in as 147 please. I haven't managed to get on there this week.

Made a mistake last night snaffling my kids left over sausages late night. They are butchers sausages and great quality so I thought wouldn't hurt too much. My stomach has been making such impressive gurgling sounds since then I think I was wrong!

I'm eating too much ham and bacon etcpurely down to bad planning. Hmmmm.

Off on another long journey today. And another tomorrow. Hoping Birmingham new street will provide something suitable . No time to make a lunch.

LaserShark · 17/06/2016 07:38

Thank you whoever mentioned the Twinings Gingerbread Tea! It's really hitting the spot!

Just had my shopping delivered and deliberately didn't order ham, bacon, nuts or much cheese because they are all so easy to overdo.

Yesterday I ate a piece of 'dark' chocolate that was only 54% cocoa solids and it really didn't taste good. I didn't think I would ever think any chocolate wasn't that tasty. I also had a small glass of red wine but found it very strong and sweet so didn't get far with that either.

StuntNun · 17/06/2016 07:56

DH's Chinese choices = 0.6 kg on. Grrrr.

Gcalgske · 17/06/2016 08:03

Hate that stunt. My local Chinese place is great if you ask for no sugar but hubby has ordered in the past and not specified and thinks it's fine - grr! Tea sounds good laser. I'm on my last box of buttermint. Got the salted caramel green tea but it's not as good (like a pale and slightly bitter buttermint) so looking for something new....Brew

LaserShark · 17/06/2016 08:07

I bought the caramelised Apple flavour as well but haven't tried it yet. Looking forward to it!

StuntNun · 17/06/2016 08:39

Gcalgske his food looked okay, it was chicken and cashews in a thin sauce - not great for the cashews but not loaded with sugar. Mine was Mongolian duck and it was a hoisin-type of sauce so sugary-sweet. He meant well but he just can't get the hang of this low carb malarkey we've only been doing it for three years sigh.

WanHeda · 17/06/2016 09:44

I drink Teapigs Apple & cinnamon tea, it is beautiful! Grin

Mookbark · 17/06/2016 10:34

I've started drinking fennel tea in the last few days, it's lovely and your mouth feels fresher afterwards.
Looking forward to the weekend as I'm not working. Grin
Having leftover chicken bacon and broccoli casserole for lunch, not sue about dinner yet. I need to get some shopping organised as we don't have much in.
Happy weekend everyone.

IndianaJone · 17/06/2016 10:52

Morning all

I think I made a mistake ordering from the local Thai place last night. Too many carby vegetables like onions and carrots and there must have been sugar in there somewhere. Feel bloat and rubbish today. Also, I'm on so that doesn't help. Feel like eating everything I lay my eyes on.I will resist of course but usually on days like this, when I'm suffering cramps etc, I usually do chocolate, milky teas and duvet.

PlayNice · 17/06/2016 11:01

Ooh, I mentioned the Gingerbread tea, Laser, and I'm glad you like it! How's the apple? It was the only one I didn't buy out of the exciting ones I could see (Gingerbread, Bakewell Tart and Salted Caramel). I only liked the Gingerbread out of the three so I didn't invest in the apple, but I may do if you like it.

I love Teapigs tea! Their popcorn tea is delicious. Sadly nowhere near me seems to stock anything other than the basic flavours.

I have such good news! I weighed myself for the first time this WOE this morning (before I enter my birthday weekend/holiday to Portugul week of diet DOOM) and I'm 9 stone 13! So, so happy. The last time I weighed myself before I started this WOE, I was 11 stone and I followed that with a month of serious binging. I was too scared to weigh myself by the end. So I have lost at least a stone in a month, probably a stone and 3-5 pounds Grin. THANK YOU BIWI.

PippilottaViktualia · 17/06/2016 11:05

Just catching up on the thread now, everyone is doing so well Smile

I on the other hand... I've been offshore for nearly two weeks, I've put on 5lbs. I can't believe it Sad The first rig, Caspian Sea was great lots of meat, little bit of salad, boiled eggs - fab. The second rig - Gulf of Mexico - Texan chef, absolute bloody disaster. But I was working 12+ hours everyday, I had to eat. I'm devastated, and tired and over emotional due to tiredness and missing the kids and just being away...

And just to top it all off when I arrived back at UK, the man at passport control said 'oh, this is a great passport photo, are you sure it's you? Hahahahahhaha' HmmBlushSad

Anyway strict bootcamp for me now I'm home!

Well done everybody else, it's been nice reading through the two threads and catching up Smile

margaritasbythesea · 17/06/2016 11:22

Awww pipilotta - that's mean!

Good job play nice. Your photo did make me laugh. Is the gingerbread tea teapigs too? And buttermint? Sounds lovely.

reader77 · 17/06/2016 11:27

Herbal teas are my secret weapon! I love the gingerbread and butter mint ones.

Well done playnice, you're at my goal already Smile

I don't think nice lost anymore this week. I look slimmer I think, I feel less bloated. But I'm sort of torn, because I feel like I've come so far and a breakthrough is just Around the corner. But impatient because it seems to be taking so long as well.

flyright · 17/06/2016 11:30

Hello lovely bootcampers,

I haven't fully caught up with the thread - need the weekend but can anyone advise me about cramp? Woke up loads last night with terrible lower leg cramps - I know that means I need more salt - and I believe potassium and magnesium?? People also talk about a multi vitamin - would that give me enough of the potassium and magnesium or do I need to buy all 3 separately? Off to Holland and Barrett at lunchtime if anyone can help - cant do with another night like last night, working crazy hours and very tired. harrumph!

PippilottaViktualia · 17/06/2016 11:40

It could be dehydration as well... My sister used to get bad leg cramp at night and she swears by having a dioralyte sachet in a big glass of water before bed... Guess that would help with the salts too.

regularbutpanickingabit · 17/06/2016 11:43

Popping head around the door after a manic week. Just hitting that lovely point in the month where I feel the plug has been pulled and normally reach for the comfort carbs. Still feel exhausted but not had the cravings. That's great. Not weighing every day because I know I go up a lot at this point and I am hoping it will start to go again early next week.

B - buttery scrambled eggs
L - not sure. Thinking chicken thighs with goats cheese and salad
D - sardines, olives, capers & tomatoes on spinach with olive oil.
S - probably fage yog, celery and pate

PlayNice · 17/06/2016 11:44

Thank you! I'm really happy but KOKO, despite yesterday's "little" slip. I was 9 stone last year, but managed to put on two stone plus this year. I binge eat so badly when I get stressed. Sadly, the whole jar of peanut butter has pretty much nothing on what I eat when I'm in that mindset.

No, Gingerbread, Buttermint (and Salted Caramel and Cherry Bakewell which I personally don't love, but saw people praising on the last Bootcamp thread, so you might like) are all Twinings. My big Tesco does them.

The other nice teas I mentioned (Sweet Rhubarb, Sour Cherry, Strawberry and Vanilla Green Tea) are Taylor's of Harrogate. I've seen some in Sainsbury's but I think Waitrose does the biggest selection.

LaserShark · 17/06/2016 11:53

Caramelised Apple tastes a bit too much of the green tea for me. The gingerbread one is nicer. I'm definitely tempted by the cherry Bakewell one next!

flyright · 17/06/2016 12:05

Thanks Pippilota. I don't think it's that. I'm having a good 3l a day. But the sachets might well help with salts as you say.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 17/06/2016 13:22

Great to see some herbal tea recommendations. I love the Pukka three Ginger and cinnamon teas. Nicely warming on a day like today. 😀

I suffer badly with bloat to the point that I look pregnant! Still lots of fat around my tummy but it feels quite firm and looks a bit slimmer. Not sure if it will show up on the scales though.

BIWI · 17/06/2016 13:50

PlayNice no need to thank me - you're the one who has done all the hard work! Flowers

flyright no, you won't get the quantities you need in a multi-vit. Go to a good healthfood shop and buy them individually.

bettyblueeyes83 · 17/06/2016 14:18

Love Taylor's Sweet Rhubarb and Twining's Buttermint. Am also going to try Gingerbread and maybe Sour Cherry. I find a cup after dinner is a good pudding replacement.

flyright I'm taking separate magnesium + potassium + a multivit and adding more salt to food. Seems to have done the trick, haven't had the leg cramps at all this week (and they were waking me up too last week).

Xoticdreamz · 17/06/2016 14:23

I have purchase some of the gingerbread tea . Having a bit of a struggle to keep away from a huge delicious looking cake that's currently staring at me across the office . Always so much worse when Pre menstrual.
I will resist .

PlayNice · 17/06/2016 15:31

I don't get leg cramp, but I do get this weird feeling in my legs - a sort of discomfort, like I want to kick them or stretch them but that doesn't alleviate it. I don't know if it's psychological or a vitamin thing. Does anyone else have that? It's only ever at night.

nekobus · 17/06/2016 15:34

I get that sometimes, play, I think it's known as restless leg syndrome...where you feel you have to move or shake them.

I'm trying to plan for a night out tonight- it's pub grub & I know they do a naked burger but I'm always tempted by the home made battered onion rings.... Stay strong nekobus!!
