Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once again

A horribly busy week for me, so apologies if I'm not around quite so much Sad

I hope the scales have been kind to you, but don't forget to take your measurements as well.

Hope you all have a good week

Bursars Sorry to hear you have so much going on. You have done great with your ED so far, but you must look after yourself. Remember that you can pop back onto the thread anytime you like, even if just to chat Thanks

eleven59 · 16/06/2016 17:08

Today's food

B - 2bpc, scrambled egss and avocado
L - salmon fillet, courgette, cucumber, avocado, olive oil and sour cream
D - pork and mushroom in cream and blue cheese with broccoli and cauli followed by natural yoghurt and four chopped brazil nuts.

Loads of water and some black tea.

I still feel rubbish today. Nauseous and low energy but no hunger. I'm on the verge of caving in...

BursarsFrogs · 16/06/2016 17:35

Thank you everyone for the lovely messages. Flowers I'll keep lurking here for food ideas etc, but just won't be weighing and recording my weight or worrying too much.

As it happens I'm cooking some LC sausages and trying a mash made from swede and broccoli for dinner tonight. :)

LaserShark · 16/06/2016 17:53

Gcal that must be why fever tree tonic is so delicious! I haven't been drinking at all for the past five or six weeks but when I do, I like a glass of red. I would usually stop at one and I have small wine glasses which I never fill. A G&T would probably knock me out altogether at the moment.

eleven, I've had some tired and nauseous days. I keep forgetting to take a multivit which might help. And I am in the habit of cooking without salt and never adding it to food either so I thought that might help - I've had cramps legs which usually means I'm low on salt. Would either of those help you, do you think?

BIWI · 16/06/2016 18:16

I was just going to say the same eleven - do you eat much salt? You should be using more of it on a low carb diet, with all the water that we're drinking as well. Along with magnesium and potassium.

NotdeadyetBOING · 16/06/2016 18:33

Eleven - I've been really suffering from dizziness and heavy legs/general knackerdness. Have got some multi vitamins and I think they may be starting to work. I am guilty of not drinking quite enough water, I think. But I do love my salt so think I am ok on that score.

Mookbark · 16/06/2016 18:50

Thanks Stunt, I'll have a look out for that.
I've found a recipe one website called Paleoleap which has a creamy sauce using coconut milk, hm mayonnaise, garlic, paprika and chives, so I'm making that tonight. It is poured over chicken, bacon, broccoli and spinach to make a casserole. It looks and sounds lovely, so can't wait to try it.
Really sad about the fever tree tonic water, that's the only sort I have when I have a G&T. Sad I think as I drink so rarely, I will still use it, because it will be a big treat when I do have a G&T anyway.
Bursars dinner sounds good.

eleven59 · 16/06/2016 19:02

Thanks all. I forgot to say I drank a dissolved stock cube but it didn't make much difference. I'll get an early night and see what tomorrow brings.

BIWI · 16/06/2016 19:18

But eleven do you use salt in/on your food? You didn't say. That's really important.

However, if you're still feeling really shit, try upping your carbs a little.

eleven59 · 16/06/2016 19:20

Yes I have been adding salt to food but forget to sometimes as its something I have never done. Added it to lunch and dinner today. Can't understand why I feel so bad. Gurgly stomach too.

StuntNun · 16/06/2016 19:34

Dinner fail today as DH went and got Chinese takeaway. It was very sweet so it must have had loads of sugar in it. Back to KOKO for me.

Mookbark · 16/06/2016 19:34

The chicken, bacon and broccoli casserole was yummy. And, there's enough leftover for lunch tomorrow.
Eleven hope you feel better soon. In my first BC, I felt a bit like that. I would eat about half a teaspoon of salt straight out of my hand! It did seem to work.

NotdeadyetBOING · 16/06/2016 19:36

Just had rather an interesting discovery…. I have been worrying that I have been snacking too much and generally stuffing my face with cheese/cream endlessly. Have seen BIWI's posts about not doing too much of that and worried that I am v. guilty on that score…

So…. checked out MFP. Now, I know we aren't supposed to be using it, but I've used it for so long it's a habit - plus it helps me see where I am on carb intake each day. Anyway - I looked at my average calorie intake over the past 3 weeks since starting this LCHF woe - and was REALLY surprised to see that it's much lower than previously. And previously I was much more focused on calories and didn't give a damn about where they came from.

All that mayonnaise and butter and red, fatty meat and the calories are still lower. Not super low - but the sort of level I was always trying to achieve and failing. Am convinced it's the fact that my bingeing has been stopped as a result of cutting the carbs. I am incapable of eating one slice of white bread, for instance could eat a loaf at one sitting if I'm honest.

So - quite a revelation.

Plus - LOVING this cauli mash with oodles of butter thing. I assumed everyone was saying it was nice because they were trying to convince themselves, but it is genuinely gorgeous.

So - happy camper here.

Haven't posted much as had some really up and down weeks but seem to have hit my groove this week and it's gone really well.
Something little that I've never done before but seems to work well for me is as soon as I wake I gulp down 1/2 to 3/4 litre of water. I have a bottle waiting by my bedside. It's not amazing and it's not what I would choose to do but it just seems to kick everything off. I never seem to have a bad day if I down water first thing.
Going to weigh in tomorrow and see what damage has been done

trixymalixy · 16/06/2016 19:57

I'm quite happy today. I joined weight watchers in I think September last year and lost a good bit of weight but could never get over the stone marker. I just kept putting in and losing about 4lbs for months.

I went today for the first time since I started boot camp and I have got over the stone barrier! In fact 16 lbs, 6 of it thanks to boot camp.

11 pounds off my ultimate goal though so I'm going to KOKO.

PlayNice · 16/06/2016 20:03

I was... Not good today.

ReggaeShark · 16/06/2016 20:21

Not posted my meals for a couple of days but desperately fighting to stay on track on spite of sweet cravings. Had a sugar free jelly and cream yesterday but much easier today. Going to post today's meals then catch up on the thread for inspiration. You all inspire me.

Bacon and fried eggs. 2 cups tea with tiny amount of milk.
Small tin of salmon with mayo and mixed leaves.
Chilli made with shallots and only half a tin of toms between 2 of us. On a bed of raw Spinach so it wilted with grated cheese, creme fraiche and half an avo.
Small piece of cheese.

Veryflummoxed · 16/06/2016 21:02

Elevenses. Crust less asparagus and goats cheese quiche. (It had some full fat milk in, about 2carbs worth a portion )

Lunch. Another potion of crust less quiche. Hm cauliflower soup with cream

Dinner left over lamb curry.

All my water today. Yay!!!!

2 black coffees. Black and mint tea.

Gcalgske · 16/06/2016 21:17

Black coffee
Black coffee, 1 fried egg, 1 bacon, 1 portion fried mushrooms at a greasy spoon, 2 pats of butter
HM chilli on romaine lettuce with 1/2 a mushed avocado and grated cheddar

nekobus · 16/06/2016 21:40

Food today
B - 2 hb eggs and butter, 2 babybels coffee with cream
L - salad of leaves, cucumber, cherry toms, olives, avocado and dressing. A few slices of chorizo wrapped around Boursin
D - LC sausages, salad, dressing, cauli & broccoli, garlic mayo
S - chunk of brie, 85% choc

stilllovingmysleep · 16/06/2016 21:53

Veryflummoxed, crustless quiche sounds gorgeous!

Notdeadyet I am not that surprised tbh about the fewer calories. Such a relief to read it though huh? I'm sure it's because we don't have cravings anymore (or at least most of us don't) and are much less hungry so that really helps in eating fewer calories overall, I'm sure.

I'm doing generally ok. I bought a spiralizer as a reward for doing so well on BC but haven't used it yet: seems quite complicated although probably isn't!

nekobus · 16/06/2016 22:15

I still track on MFP too, notdead, it helps me with portion size and to keep me from going overboard with the wine and strawberries! I have tracked while doing different types of diets over the years and always amazed at how I can eat all this fat and have lower calories than on eg WW.

I snacked a lot on low fat high carb and it all added up. Whereas now I either don't snack or have a bit of ff cheese or a hb egg which then fills me up in the way a special k bar never could Grin. I mean an egg with a bit of butter has fewer calories than said special k bar or a bag of low cal crisps!

Veryflummoxed · 16/06/2016 22:31

stilllovingmysleep it was. I keep thinking I must have cheated today because I feel like I've eaten loads and it was so rich and satisfying. In reality I have had had two small (didn't fill a side plate) and one medium (didn't cover a small dinner plate) meals at most.

I looked at spiralisers but in the end went for a julienne peeler. I got the Lakeland one, about six pounds on Amazon. Quick and easy. I've used it in courgettes for salad, I've yet to make courgetti.

bettyblueeyes83 · 16/06/2016 22:51

Just checking in with my food:

B: scrambled eggs with butter/cream/cheese, Americano with cream
L: smoked duck salad again (with avo and HB egg)
D: Thai steamed hake pockets with Bok Choi and tender stem broccoli
S: miso soup and cheese

Did better with no milk in drinks and less snacking today, feeling peckish now tho. Not sure why snacky peckish feeling back this week.
