Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Doom Fabulousness

Week 3 might not have been kind to you - and here's the warning that week 4 might be the same Sad

But hopefully by now you're starting to adjust to low carbing, and should be feeling some of the other benefits, even if the scales are resolutely ignoring you!

If you're struggling, come here and tell us about it. Don't self-sabotage by thinking 'oh fuck it' and diving into the carbs!

lexloofah · 06/06/2016 20:57

2lb off the 3 I put on last week - ffs when will I ever learn? A loss is pretty good though as was away and DCs had ice cream every single day of half term, sigh, oh to be young again!

cathemeral I hope you bought the lot, you can blitz and freezeas is or make oven roasted cauli rice then freeze, the caul pizza bases freeze just fine too

bettyblueeyes83 · 06/06/2016 21:01

Good day with lots of exercise and Sunday's random hunger has disappeared.

B: two scrambled eggs in butter with splash cream and sprinkle Parmesan
L: leftover swede mash and cauliflower-leek gratin (microwaved at work - didn't think to turn both into soup, would have been much nicer!)
D: Kung Pao chicken with coconut cauliflower rice, again from Real Meal Revolution (would really recommend this book, I'm getting lots of use of out my Kindle version)

lexloofah · 06/06/2016 21:02

and can someone please link to the curry recipe again, the one with the sauce to which you can then add endless combinations of things? I thought I had emailed myself the link last week, came to print it off just now and there's just a load of goobledegook in the email, not a proper link at all - ta!

ReggaeShark · 06/06/2016 22:36

Feel really bloated this evening. No idea why

B: no breakfast
L: pub with a friend. Naked steak burger with cheese and bacon. Not much cheese or bacon. Had extra mayo with the mixed salad.
D: 2 portobello mushrooms stuffed with Stilton, wrapped in Parma ham and baked, with buttered Spinach and tiny bit of leftover remoulade.
H2O: loads. Some of it sparkling. Is that what's giving me the bloat?

nekobus · 06/06/2016 23:08

Food today:
B - 1 avocado and dressing, 2 slices Parma ham, coffee and cream, tea and soya
L - picnic of celery, cucumber a few cherry toms, Boursin, 2 babybel and a hb egg, 5 slices chorizo
D - leftover roast chicken and skin, garlic mayo, salad leaves and dressing
S - 2 babybel, chunk of Brie, black coffee, tea w soya

(I appear to have a cheese habit...)

Gcalgske · 06/06/2016 23:29

Could there have been carbage in the burger?

I got into a row with a chef acquaintance recently - apparently they are allowed to say things like '100% beef' burger but that only means that all of the meat in the burger is beef and doesn't account for the added bread crumbs etc that is sometimes in there which I think is misleading and against the spirit of the food label legislation we have :(

Wintersea · 06/06/2016 23:37

Thank you for putting in my weight wombatoo even though i stays the same!
Today
black coffee (no cream in house unfortunately and just not hungry)
Chicken breast, some skin (I do struggle to eat it) with chunks of cucumber and small tomato in ff Mayo
Pork stir fry (with a good glug of oil)
Bit hungry now so think I def needed more fat today, so drinking camomile tea and staying away from the peanut butter jar.
Will have scrambled eggs in butter for breakfast tomorrow and try to drink more water - not sure I quite did 2 litres today...

CathemeralChild · 06/06/2016 23:38

Unfortunately I only bought the one cauliflower but it's beautiful and exciting and sitting in my utility room whilst I contemplate its fate.

I never usually post my food but why the hell not?

B: water, strong black coffee, spiced goats cheese cubes topped with creme fraiche and jalapeños, small handful of fried almonds.
L: mixed salad leaves, diced courgette, cucumber, radishes, a couple of sliced baby gerkins tossed in lemon oil and salt, with crab mayonnaise.
D: prawn and cod coconut curry, spinach and rocket salad, with courgette, cucumber, and lemon oil dressing again.
Treat: two pieces 85% dark chocolate and more strong black coffee.
Water: about 4 litres as it was so hot here today!

Wintersea · 06/06/2016 23:39

Just putting a recipe for avocado/cucumber salad that my DH made last night on recipe thread -is very delicious....

MaryThorne · 07/06/2016 06:36

I think DH accidentally put creme fraiche in my coffee this morning, mmmm tangy Grin

restinglawyer · 07/06/2016 07:11

Mmm that salad sounds lovely Wintersea. Going to make it if my Ripen At Home avocados ever do. Down a pound this week. 10lb in total (started nearly 5 weeks ago though). Feeling hopeful.

margaritasbythesea · 07/06/2016 07:13

Morning all,

I wonder if someone could have a look at what I have been eating in the last few days and tell me where I am going wrong? I don't really seem to have lost any considerable weight since starting - perhaps a pound. I have lost maybe a centimeter from my waist and hips but it's an inaccurate measurement at the best of times.
I think it is quite an interesting and healthy way to eat and will e good for me maintaining. I always put on weight slowly with a conventional diet even though mine us quite healthy. But right now, what I really want to do is shift 5k!

I drink all the water, one or two cups of tea with a little milk a day.

Breakfast is always 2 eggs scrambled in butter.

Lunch last few days - ratatouille with cheese, chicken stew with swede, cauliflower and broccoli, ham and cheese salad with mayo.

Dinners last three days- courgetti with heck sausage and bit of cream, roasted chicken thighs with chorizo and roasted courgette, onion and pepper, steak and salad.

Snack was yesterday only - bit of mozzarella and ham.

I had two glasses of wine on Friday and on Sunday night.

I'm afraid I'm thinking that I might go off for a bit and do a diet I know sheds a few pounds very fast and then come back. Would that be ok? It's quite low carb carb one anyway by accident.

Sorry to be a downer but I need to shift this weight!

GuyMartinsSideburns · 07/06/2016 07:23

Hello! Just realised I've just posted on the previous thread Blush could someone please add 3lbs to my weight on the spreadsheet?

God knows where that's meant to have come from but il keep running and using a tape measure to notice any changes in my shape.

reader77 · 07/06/2016 07:49

I can't believe it's been three weeks already.

I haven't cheated once. I feel quite proud of that actually. It means I'm in control of my carb cravings

FinallyHere · 07/06/2016 08:00

Waves to wombat.

Its only just 8am and Ive drunk a litre of water already. Sigh.

Patterkiller · 07/06/2016 08:10

Does anyone else's fat bits feel wobbilier? More squishy? I'm hoping its changing before disappearing.

Yesterday
No breakfast
L scramble egg with butter
D low carb sausage, salad, tomatoes and haloumi.

2l water.

WanHeda · 07/06/2016 08:11

lex here is the curry recipe - www.jamieoliver.com/news-and-features/features/how-to-make-curry-sauce/#5RMAuR2kLjbtZ293.97 I made it last week and it was good, ut the butter chicken is tastier and easier Grin

CathemeralChild · 07/06/2016 08:23

Grin at Mary's DH.

Margaritas I can't easily get onto the spreadsheets and stuff to double check as I have a decrepit and crashing ancient iPhone, but aren't tomatoes, onions, and possibly swede all a bit carb heavy?

CathemeralChild · 07/06/2016 08:25

Patterkiller my stomach has gone like a wobbly custard complete with wrinkled skin.
I blame age and pregnancy.
at least when I'm overweight my boobs don't look so saggy

WanHeda · 07/06/2016 08:27

Patter, I have found that just before a "whoosh" of weight loss my fat goes all squishy the days before! It's weird, I haven't noticed that on other diets I have tried.

NotdeadyetBOING · 07/06/2016 08:38

Oops - just consumed my daily carb allowance at breakfast….. Couldn't resist the perfect raspberries winking at me from the fridge…. Yummy tho.

Now have to be hard core for the rest of the day…...

Patterkiller · 07/06/2016 09:02

wanheda that sounds promising. Fingers crossed for a whoosh.

CiderwithBuda · 07/06/2016 09:02

Morning all

Margarita - that ends really frustrating. Could you be having too much dairy? Stalls some people. The original Atkins diet really limited dairy. (Interested in the diet that drops weight quickly though!).

Food yesterday was good

B - total yoghurt with some blueberries and a sprinkling of flaked almonds
L - chicken, salad, a tomato, avocado, mayo dressing
D - shepherds pie with cauli mash and a treat of some peas.
No snacks as didn't feel the need.
Three teas with milk
3.1 litres of water. Took last 400ml glass to bed early planning on drinking it while reading my book but I fell asleep.

Haven't had chance to look at any low carb Mediterranean recipes but suspect there is lots about. I know I looked on Pinterest a few weeks ago and found some. Also Michael Mosely has a website for his Blood Sugar Diet and it's based On low carb Mediterranean - although his diet is 800 cals per day.

CiderwithBuda · 07/06/2016 09:04

And yes - I've notice th squishy fat too. I assume it's something to do with fat cells doing something.

Glad it's not just me!
