Just checking in quickly - well done everyone who's lost or STS
Not weighing this week or next, as I'm not at home: and sticking as close as I can to BC - which is a bit difficult because I'm not cooking for myself and don't have any input into meals. I am being very polite, though
Pottering round the house without my crutches since Friday, though, which is good news: my dressings are still a bit leaky (sorry - TMI) and I have the mother of all bruises up the back of my leg (which is where they harvested the muscle for the new ligament from) but all in all, far less bad than I anticipated! What is hard is sitting down to meals where there's a big bowl of crunchy-looking apples- I am resisting so far, as I found fruit the hardest change to make, and it did take weeks for the cravings to go: but please all cross your fingers for me that I can make it through
!
I am hoping to be able to manage at home from after I've seen the surgeon again next week - but if not, I'll plough on doing the best I can 'til I can look after myself again.
Hang in there, everyone - especially those finding it tough at the moment: and for everyone to whom it applies, have a wonderful Mothering Sunday (preferably waited on hand and foot, of course!). I'm not around much atm because down here in the rural Home Counties, it's still dial up - but I am sending you all very good wishes and exhorting everyone to KOKO!
