Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I hope it was a good week, and I hope that those of you who have been suffering from carb flu are starting to feel better. Remember, keep up the electrolytes - sodium, potassium and magnesium. Which means firstly that you have to make sure you're getting plenty of salt - so salt your food during cooking and add salt to cooked food.

For potassium, you could also consider Lo-Salt. Good foods for all electrolytes include salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat (of course!) natural yoghurt.

A note about weighing in

If you're a daily weigher, you have several different options. You can either just record your weight every Monday (or whatever regular day of the week you choose - I am going to start weighing in on a Saturday, because my trainer records my weight as well, to keep me on track!).

Or you can record the lowest weight you achieved in that week

Or you can average your weights and record the average.

Whatever you decide, I hope it's a positive result!

I can't see a new thread yet. Can someone add me at 162 please. Not a great loss but I fell off the wagon.

Mookbark · 01/02/2016 11:24

0.4 lbs on here, despite being a very good girl. However, AF started this morning (again), so that explains that. I have also started exercising last week, so may be retaining fluid because of that also. I was 2 lbs lighter 4 days ago, so am hoping for a whoosh in the next few days.
Well done on all those that have lost or stayed the same.
fohamy there is an explaination for the prolonged AF, my cycle is mucked up too as I was on only about 10 days ago. Stunt gave a fab scientific explanation up the thread, or on the question thread, but I can't remember what she said Grin
I take a magnesium tablet a day and that usually helps keep my bowels nice and regular. Had a blip at the weekend, but took an extra tablet and I'm sorted again now. I think you can get magnesium replete with a LC diet, so not a bad idea to take them anyway.

Today's food is:
B - creamy coffee x2, avocado
L - left over roast; beef, celeriac/leek mash, broccoli, sprouts with lardons.
D - something with mince, maybe spag bol with courgetti or chilli with cauli rice
S - spicy chai latte, ?babybel

Mookbark · 01/02/2016 11:26

blacktea, it's a lose, well done. I've updated the sheet for you.

YesEinsteinsMumDid · 01/02/2016 11:35

I have just weighed. Yeah I know. several coffees, a couple of litres of water is not the best time. But I came out about 1kg under where I was 2 weeks ago. It made me not dread a proper weigh in tomo morning should i remember. Hopefully weight will shift properly when I ditch the pain killers. In the meantime the trousers are getting looser. Only on my waist though. My hips and thighs seem to be reluctant to slim Hmm Ah well. Will worry about that when something can be done about it.

Shoulder news
Back to physio for new treatment plan this week. It has settled but there are underlying issues that need to resolve. 1 step forwards, 2 back, 3 forwards, 1 back kinda progress so not expecting huge weight losses. Happy with slow and steady.

blackteaplease · 01/02/2016 11:36

Thanks Mookbark. I also lost and put on 2lbs again this week. Seems like this has happened to a few of us.

fohamy12 · 01/02/2016 11:38

Thanks for the replies re af ! I do remember now stuntnun posting about this I just wish it would bloody stop. (Pardon the pun)

ShebaQueen · 01/02/2016 12:02

Hello all, I have STS which I am happy with, had a couple of difficult days away with work last week when I didn't drink enough water and ended up eating sandwich fillings and pizza toppings Blush

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 01/02/2016 12:04

Added you, ami and Guy

Nigella - sadly I've never had proper curves or an actual proper waist, I've always been an ironing board shape, so I doubt I'll ever get them now! But if you've had them before, then you're right, you can probably get them back. :)

I'm craving a salty crunchy something just now so will possibly go and make some parmesan chips, and pray the 3yo doesn't wake up while they're cooking.

Nateismine · 01/02/2016 12:14

Hi
Please could someone put my weight down as 141. A 3lb loss but I have stalled for 4 days. I think I need to look at portion sizes.

Am I right in assuming that on this WOE that although the percentage of fat eaten should' be high, you can still eat too much of it in actual amounts?

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 01/02/2016 12:18

Nate - added you.
I don't think you can eat too much, because it is kind of self-limiting - your body reaches a point where you don't want to eat at all because your fat/protein intake is high enough.
Depends on what you mean by "too much" though, and why you're thinking that.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 01/02/2016 12:43

Botheration.
Dunno why, but my 2 Babybel crisps just got overdone and welded to the plate :(
I say I don't know because I did them in the microwave exactly the same time as usual, and it was too long Confused

GuyMartinsSideburns · 01/02/2016 12:45

Thank you thumb Smile

I've never got the babybel thing to work tbh, have given up lol

BIWI · 01/02/2016 14:36

Sorry all for the lack of a new thread - horribly early start, train Oop North and limited internet access. Will go and start the week 3 thread now!
