Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I hope it was a good week, and I hope that those of you who have been suffering from carb flu are starting to feel better. Remember, keep up the electrolytes - sodium, potassium and magnesium. Which means firstly that you have to make sure you're getting plenty of salt - so salt your food during cooking and add salt to cooked food.

For potassium, you could also consider Lo-Salt. Good foods for all electrolytes include salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat (of course!) natural yoghurt.

A note about weighing in

If you're a daily weigher, you have several different options. You can either just record your weight every Monday (or whatever regular day of the week you choose - I am going to start weighing in on a Saturday, because my trainer records my weight as well, to keep me on track!).

Or you can record the lowest weight you achieved in that week

Or you can average your weights and record the average.

Whatever you decide, I hope it's a positive result!

This really is the nicest corner of mn

Flowers for you all X

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 31/01/2016 17:09

Just posted my dinner on the aibu olympic thread. Idiot!! Grin

We have a takeaway coming - chicken tandoori starter, butter chicken, cauliflower bhaji and bhindi bhaji. Will half it and have the rest tomorrow. :)

BIWI · 31/01/2016 17:13

I've just been and bought myself a spiralizer. I've said for months I'm not going to buy one because I haven't got room in my kitchen, but I went to Lakeland and couldn't resist it. I'd quite like Lakeland to take out a restraining order against me actually - I can't go in there without buying something Blush

So any good recipes for spiralling, apart from the obvious courgetti?

Guy I'm not sure what the story with your husband is but I'm thinking good thoughts in your direction.
Gcalgske are you going to get your ankle looked at or is it something that probably just needs rest? Hope it's feeling better very soon.
Thumb I'm in the same boat as you regarding waistline! It's the one area that I really really want to lose some inches. I look so out of proportion with flat chest, narrow hips and horrendous gut!

knowclue · 31/01/2016 17:34

guy Flowers be gentle with yourself, think positive-easier said than done I know
Hope everyone else feelin uncomfortable is soon better
BIWI isn't it fab? I use mine for cucumber salad, celeriac roulade, carroti as well as cougetti. It's meant I've pretty much replaced noodles/spaghetti with veg. Have the Lakeland one too, thank goodness there's not a shop in easy reach!

B: coffee with cream
L: celery and carrot with Boursin
D: going to be salad and halloumi

Gcalgske · 31/01/2016 17:39

Cucumber noodles with a chilli/lime/tamari dressing and prawns is Amazing!

I reckon it's just a sprain Nigella. Ice has brought the swelling down and although sore it's comfy enough when strapped up to bear weight.

feekerry · 31/01/2016 17:58

The stalk of a brocolli worked quite well as did carrot. Nice with prawns as mentioned above.

Wombatinabathhat · 31/01/2016 18:34

Guy Thanks

It's been a bad weekend for me bc wise Blush

I've made a chicken and courgette curry for my lunches next week and a jar of hm mayo. Onward and upward.

Good luck for the weigh in tomorrow

DrDiva · 31/01/2016 18:40

Guy, Flowers for you and please look after yourself as well as everyone else.

Roast chicken and veg coming up. I practically had to rugby tackle the toddler to stop him eating all the skin! It was standoff at the OK Corral, I tell you, as to who was going to eat that last piece of deliciousness...

hefzi · 31/01/2016 18:43

Flowers to Gcal and Guy, as well as anyone else suffering in any way just now.

Equiem89 · 31/01/2016 18:47

Haven't eaten much today. Had a slight headache this morning and when that went I got dizzy but only if I looked to or laid on my left, five on my right. OH has made a roast for dinner, not that hungry but will try to eat as much as I can

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 31/01/2016 18:48

Ive fallen off the wagon slightly this afternoon, snack wise. Cross with myself. Wasn't really even hungry, there was leftovers of dds in the fridge!

I shall focus on my healthy meals that ive had today. Grin

B. Egg white omlette and cheese. Had left over egg whites which needed using up.

L. Celery and celeriac soup.

D. Grilled halloumni and salad.

lavenderhoney · 31/01/2016 19:06

Finally I feel much better - and I hope things get better for those of us struggling with things atm.

I've bought celery which I had with some trout pate -really filling and I did pheasant with bacon, parsnip crisps and cauliflower cheese for dinner which went down very well with the DC. They had mango for pudding and I had a pint of water:)

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 31/01/2016 19:10

I have had a bad weekend, foodwise. Blush Am drawing a veil over Friday night and Saturday. Started again this morning - am sure the scales will not be kind tomorrow, but that's my own fault. I've now consumed nearly 3 litres of water in an attempt to repair the damage. The lesson I have learned is that if I know I am going out and there will be alcohol involved, then to plan a decent low-carb fried breakfast! Otherwise I just wind up reaching for the easiest thing, due to there being no bacon in the house.

On the positive side, I was getting a bit bothered by my lack of weight loss all week, but then AF arrived unexpectedly on Friday night so I think I have solved that puzzle. Next week will be a good 'un! I'm supposed to be going out on Saturday night, though - I need A Plan.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 31/01/2016 19:12

B: 3 eggs scrambled with smoked salmon
L: Steak salad
S: Greek yog plus cream
D: Roast chicken and cauliflower cheese
2 x cups tea w ff milk, 3 l water

NigellasGuest · 31/01/2016 20:25

Dinner tonight was fantastic! Thanks BIWI for the cabbage recipe, this was the one I went for. (the cheese on top version). Next time, it will be the garlic rubbed cabbage steaks as per Gcal's link. I will be repurchasing a cabbage tomorrow. Talk about value for money - I think it was 49p!

To go with it, I did roasted peppers stuffed with mince and veg. DH and DD3 really liked it although DH did have bread AND leftover pasta from DD1's dinner with it.

So far, I don't have the sweetie munchies. And if I do later, I am well prepared with a couple of balls of coconut oil hardening in the fridge. They have been rolled in ground almonds and have almond essence in them (White Star Line so a good make of essence, no sugar in it).

Patapouf · 31/01/2016 21:39

Flowers guy

Hope your ankle is okay gcalgske

B: 2 scrambled eggs with about 40g of butter
L: cucumber, ham and Philly "sandwich"
D: slow roast pork belly, leftover cauli cheese and greens.

I'm not expecting much of a loss tomorrow, I had a small glass of wine this evening Blush but I stuck with soda water and lime after that.

shouldiblowthewhistle · 31/01/2016 21:44

Hi all - well done to everyone who had a good weekend, and back on it for those who stumbled a bit!

After my ranty rant last week I woke up on Saturday another 5 pounds down. In 2 days I lost 7 pounds after losing nothing for nearly 4 weeks. So confusing. Maybe I was dehydrated but I can't help thinking that it might make sense (maybe) if my body was adjusting to metabolising fat/carbs differently. Anyway, I'm too scared to get back on the scales today in case I've put it back on.

NigellasGuest I made some fat bombs last night too (mainly coconut oil and a bit of cocoa powder). Delicious and they scratch the sweet itch even though there is no sugar in them. I like the idea of almond essence too, might try that next time.

BF: scrambled egg with tender stem and asparagus
One bullet coffee
Lunch: Pork belly (and crackling - yum!)
Snack: Kiwi (it's the start of week 5 for me now)
Dinner: Salmon with broccoli, spinach and greens.

I went to Bikram yoga today too. Really difficult and hot class though.

Mookbark · 31/01/2016 21:45

Evening all. Sorry to hear that some are being affected by real life, especially Guy words can't really express it Thanks

I've had a good day, no snacking and lots of water.
Dinner was a lovely roast; beef, leek and celeriac mash, brussels sautéed with lardons in butter and steamed broccoli. I sat there smugly whilst the others all had chocolate cake and cream. I did have a bit of horseradish sauce with it, which is 8g per 100g, but I didn't need much as it was so hot.
I'm loving the idea of the coconut balls, I've heard of fat bombs but not really looked at them in detail, might have a look for next week.
Planning to mainly do BCing Mon-Fri, with BC lite at the weekend.

mustbemad71 · 31/01/2016 21:50

Lunch out today was a disaster - ordered pig in a pig (belly pork stuff with sausage meat) and asked for mash to be swapped for extra veggies - but veggies were roast parsnips and carrots -aaargh! I did have a few and they were delicious - tasted so sweet.

Not had enough water today either but on the upside my DDs report that my breath is slightly improved!

Not feeling that positive about the weigh in tomorrow. I may be going with BIWI's option of posting lowest weight this week!

Anyone going to stick with BC rather than BC lite? Think I may try to continue to be strict - if my fam can put up with the halitosis!!

shouldiblowthewhistle · 31/01/2016 21:54

mustbemad I've stuck with BC for 4 weeks so far. Only had a kiwi yesterday and today, which isn't BC. I think I will stay with BC until maybe Easter, and then see where I'm at.

I actually find it easier because I already know what I can have and can't have. And I'm too busy to get a lunch break at work so not having much of an appetite makes everything so much less complicated.

mustbemad71 · 31/01/2016 22:18

Should congrats on the 7lbs off - well deserved for KOKO!

Mook good idea - I think I will BC lite at weekends and have total yog with blueberries for a pud and the odd vodka lime and soda. Wooooo I'm wild me!

Nigella. I'm fancying the cabbage and fat bombs too, yum! Thanks for the ideas.

NigellasGuest · 31/01/2016 22:19

I'm staying with BC but with raspberries and 100% chocolate to garnish coconut fat balls/bombs thingies. By that, I mean 1 raspberry per ball. I'm going to try and make raspberry centered coconut balls.

Also, the chocolate I am referring to is SO dark it tastes like earth, and as I will be grating it into thin flakes I don't think it will be carby really. Oh, and tiny sprinklings of ground almonds.

Still no alcohol - I haven't drunk for over 8 weeks and don't miss it at all. Because of that, I am allowing myself the above little treats but will have to watch out for them increasing in quantity over time!

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 31/01/2016 22:43

I haven't really looked at what's allowed on bc lite yet so will have to be full bc for a couple of days more yet at least.

Though I am craving fruit and also fancy that fathead pizza thing with ground almonds. So might make the pizza one night.

Mookbark · 31/01/2016 22:44

Must go on, live life on the edge. Grin My weekend treat will be 2-3 squares of G&B 85% chocolate and maybe a G&T.
We all know how to rock n roll, don't we? Grin
