Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I hope it was a good week, and I hope that those of you who have been suffering from carb flu are starting to feel better. Remember, keep up the electrolytes - sodium, potassium and magnesium. Which means firstly that you have to make sure you're getting plenty of salt - so salt your food during cooking and add salt to cooked food.

For potassium, you could also consider Lo-Salt. Good foods for all electrolytes include salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat (of course!) natural yoghurt.

A note about weighing in

If you're a daily weigher, you have several different options. You can either just record your weight every Monday (or whatever regular day of the week you choose - I am going to start weighing in on a Saturday, because my trainer records my weight as well, to keep me on track!).

Or you can record the lowest weight you achieved in that week

Or you can average your weights and record the average.

Whatever you decide, I hope it's a positive result!

Good morning everyone.

Having staggered blearily out of bed after a terrible night's sleep (cold making asthma play up a tad) I decided to have a proper breakfast. Packed DH and DS off and demolished some cauliflower and lamb left over from dinner a couple of nights ago. I feel full!

Not going to weigh, but I am hoping to lose some of my cream puff on toothpicks look. Jeans seem a wee bit looser?...

blackteaplease · 25/01/2016 09:16

I am 4.5 lbs down having done bootcamp light and also started c25k at the same time. It's very motivating to see a good loss already, lots more to go!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 25/01/2016 09:18

Oh I should have said as well that it was haggis tonight, so that's not LC either. Today was basically a write-off. But I did avoid the tatties, just had the mashed swede.

Jerm123 · 25/01/2016 09:23

Well, I thought I would have ruined everything, as went away for the week-end and had two set meals (wedding) where it was difficult to know what was in the dishes. I thought I had messed up badly on one, as when it arrived, I could taste the wine in the sauce.

But I am now 202.4 😊😀

That's 2.5 pounds down. yippee. Much slower that the first week, but hope this is fat, rather than water.

lisbapalea · 25/01/2016 09:26

Checking in with a guilty conscience and a painful, bloated stomach. I won't go into details but will hold my hands up and apologise to BIWI for being an idiot, and just say that I am properly starting bootcamp with renewed willpower and determination this week. I have updated the spreadsheet.

Well done to everyone who has followed the rules and seen some incredible results. Proof that the rules really do make sense!

B - greek yog
L - will be tuna mayo salad with boiled egg and lots of green salady things
D - it's DH's birthday and he has requested a boscaiola pasta thing; I will have the sauce (creamy tomato one with bacon, mushroom and peas) but will pick the peas out and have it with courgetti

KOKO everyone!

antimatter · 25/01/2016 09:32

4 lb down
no craving sweet treats
sleeping better so having derams which is nice for a change
meals cooked for the next 3 days
lots of veg in the fridge!

Hope everyone is enjoying sunny morning as we are in London Grin

Nateismine · 25/01/2016 09:33

Morning- please could someone enter my weight as 144. 8lb loss so mustn't grumble! But I was properly binging on carbs prior to boot camp.

Getting a bit fed up of eggs unfortunately so may have to find some other options for breakfast.

Well done for all the losses.

ChesterDrawers · 25/01/2016 09:34

Well done losers Grin.

I'm 1.2lb down, totally undeserved after crashing and burning yesterday. We had two parties to go to and, while I was really good at the first, I lost it at the second and had some of the carbtastic buffet Blush. In my defence I have an awful cold so was feeling pretty rubbish and willpower was low.

Back on it today though, although I've not had breakfast as I've no appetite.

Got left over roast chicken for tea, which I'll have with lots of buttery veggies and am chugging my water like a goodun in penance.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 25/01/2016 09:36

Done it for you, Nate - I nearly put in 144.8 because I wasn't reading carefully enough but on a re-read got it right! Blush :)

fohamy12 · 25/01/2016 09:37

5 lb off this week and I really pleased as I ate lovely food and didn't feel deprived at all. I do struggle with drinking lots of water so I'm going to work on that this week

Congratulations everyone on all the losses!Smile

RomiiRoo · 25/01/2016 09:53

Well done to everyone on the lossesFlowers

And thanks to biwi, particularly for her explanation of glycogen stores which I knew last year but in my mental fog had forgotten the details. That is why minimal deviation sets off carb cravings for me.

It is funny, I am five or six days in now and yesterday was the first day I did not feel hungry. I thought I must have overeaten but weight is down 2lb overnight, 3lb since I started. So, I must have knocked myself out of keto and am now getting the hang of it again.

Downside is I have carb flu and feel yukky. When I started low carbing it took three weeks to get sugar addiction out of my system. I haven't been having sugar, just carb creep, so hopefully it won't be so bad

Have a good week, everyoneSmile

Wineandrosesagain · 25/01/2016 09:55

Thanks Felicity, and well done on your loss too (also well done to Mustbemad - forgot to say that in my response, which was all about me Blush). Congratulations to all, some super losses and I am picking up good ideas for lunch.

blackteaplease · 25/01/2016 10:07

Argh, my laptop died over the weekend and I cannot edit the spreadsheet on my phone. Could someone enter my weight as 162. 5 for today please?

I have been weighing daily but will stick with a Monday weigh in, the daily weigh is more curiosity.

fohamy12 · 25/01/2016 10:08

Could someone please add my loss to spreadsheet please, I have tried to but I'm obviously doing something wrongConfused, starting weight 226, loss 5lb. Thank you very much

YesEinsteinsMumDid · 25/01/2016 10:09

Clothes are my measurement atm. I know my meds and sleep pattern will hinder the weight loss. Decided to weigh less frequently. Not sure if i will weigh fortnightly or monthly. But my trousers are not currently trying to cut me in half at the stomach which is a nice feeling and my thighs aren't threatening a break out of confinement either. So no longer need to worry about accidental exposure yes I was refusing to buy a bigger size of clothes because I was determined I did not need to replace my fat trousers with extra fat trousers Next goal to make these little darlings become a nuisance and yet again threaten accidental exposure - just this time by them falling off...

Sorry about that hit the wrong combination of hot keys and double posted Blush

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 25/01/2016 10:11

221 added in for you, Fohamy :)

HammerToFall · 25/01/2016 10:16

I'm 4lb down so 174 if someone wouldn't mind adding to the spreadsheet

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 25/01/2016 10:19

I'm looking forward to the moment my weight goes below DH's - he is doing standard low calorie (with a daily double decker Envy ). He's 5lbs below me at the mo......

VagueIdeas · 25/01/2016 10:20

Can some kind soul please enter my weight at 133.2lb?

Really pleased with that! 3.8lbs down, most of which is tummy bloat I think (I bloat so badly when I eat carbs, especially bread). I fluctuate a lot though, so will probably be two pounds up tomorrow. But I'm weighing on Mondays so it is what it is Smile

hefzi · 25/01/2016 10:21

Just checking in to say a big thanks to everyone for your help and support this last week, especially BIWI, StuntNun and Cgalske - I think I am finally starting to get the hang of this WOE!

I'm trying to listen to my body, and feed it what it's asking for, even if that means salad at breakfast - but the weirdest thing was last night, when I got up to get a snack: and then realised that I wasn't at all hungry, and was just reacting to my usual habit. It feels so weird not to be craving a) more food and b) crisps, bread or Ryvita!

One thing I am really struggling with - I am really, really missing fruit. Earlier in the week it was citrus cravings - now it's apples. I suspect that's because the main source of sugar in my diet was fruit (before, I was eating at least 5 pieces a day) and so it's the sugar that I want more than the fruit - but I can't stop fantasising about the crispness and the crunch Blush It makes it worse as I'm not actually hungry and definitely don't need it - but I guess this habit will take a little longer to break.

Well done everyone too - really inspiring to read about everyone's efforts!

blackteaplease · 25/01/2016 10:23

Hefzi have you tried celery? It's crunchy and juicy and you can pretend it's an apple if you try hard enough.

LexLoofah · 25/01/2016 10:25

just over a 1lb off for me which is absolutely fine as that is pretty much expected given I am near goal and tend to plod along with steady small losses rather than whooshes - great news for everyone else with losses, general feeling of well being, and clothes being looser!

LexLoofah · 25/01/2016 10:27

oh and happy burns night or whatever the salutation is for thumb Gcal and any other Scottish folk on here!
