Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I hope it was a good week, and I hope that those of you who have been suffering from carb flu are starting to feel better. Remember, keep up the electrolytes - sodium, potassium and magnesium. Which means firstly that you have to make sure you're getting plenty of salt - so salt your food during cooking and add salt to cooked food.

For potassium, you could also consider Lo-Salt. Good foods for all electrolytes include salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat (of course!) natural yoghurt.

A note about weighing in

If you're a daily weigher, you have several different options. You can either just record your weight every Monday (or whatever regular day of the week you choose - I am going to start weighing in on a Saturday, because my trainer records my weight as well, to keep me on track!).

Or you can record the lowest weight you achieved in that week

Or you can average your weights and record the average.

Whatever you decide, I hope it's a positive result!

should kiwi? Not even on BC lite. Try berries maybe? Much lower in carbs and less likely to cause problems like cravings/knocking you out of ketosis

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 31/01/2016 23:10

Ok, have looked at the spreadsheet but sometimes I wonder if it scrolls all the way down for me.

Am I right in thinking only differences with bc lite are that you can have some nuts/seeds (but be careful) and some berries (again not many). Also some alcohol but I'm teetotal anyway.

ICJump · 31/01/2016 23:42

I mean baby sitting. What a terrible auto correct

Mookbark · 01/02/2016 06:26

And dark chocolate Simon, dot forget the chocolate. Grin

HammerToFall · 01/02/2016 06:48

Weigh in today and sts. However I do feel like I've lost weight. I look better in my clothes and my stomach doesn't seem to stick out half as much. I have been doing core training three times a week so wonder if this has affected the scales reading as I spent most of last week being pretty sore and aching. I'm going to stay off the scales this week and weigh next Monday.

mustbemad71 · 01/02/2016 07:18

Morning!

Hammer I've STS too, I was 2lbs lighter on Friday (I'm a daily weigher) but will KOKO!

Going to focus on water intake today, didn't manage 2l even yesterday.

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 01/02/2016 07:41

Can someone log me at 207 for today please?

Havent pooed for a week though, so could be under 200 in reality Grin

Wineandrosesagain · 01/02/2016 08:20

Not dissimilar to Beyondbootcampsagain, though less than a week (3 days). Any cures for constipation?

Wineandrosesagain · 01/02/2016 08:23

beyondbootcamp I have added yours.

FelicityFunknickle · 01/02/2016 08:26

Sad 147lb. Serious derailment on Sunday. Angry
It is so tough sometimes, making all this spaghetti and other carby stuff for Dcs and DH.
Hey ho. Back on the lc wagon.

FelicityFunknickle · 01/02/2016 08:28

Well done hammer and beyond and wine

HammerToFall · 01/02/2016 08:33

Mustbemad exactly the same here. I was two pound down fri and sat so in staying away from the scales this week Blush

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 01/02/2016 09:07

BIWI, I saw a spiraliser when I was out at the shops on Saturday and nearly picked it up - well actually did and then put it back again - so will wait to hear how you find it and how much you actually use it. It might be safer on my fingers than my julienne grater or my mandolin, both of which are potentially lethal to finger skin!

Guy - stress is a killer. Do what you can to take the edge off it, even if it means falling off the wagon - and I hope that everything is ok for your DH Thanks

Nigella - it's a PITA, isn't it? stupid body shape! I considered getting a powerhoop to see if it gave me a waist, but I suspect at nearly half a century, I may have left it too late! Grin

So today. A right bugger of a day, quite frankly - hardly stopped!
B - lump of cheese on the run
L - cold sausage, babybel, celery stick
D - konjac rice (should have been spaghetti but the rice was already open) with mince thing.
Not enough water. :(
But have lost weight again - only 2lb but still. Yay! Grin

VagueIdeas · 01/02/2016 09:11

Can some kind soul log me at 130.2? Thanks, stomach bug.

Would have been lower but I've been living on Lucozade and soup, and as soon as I started eating a little proper food again, gained 3lb overnight. But I'm not complaining! I will happily maintain this weight from here on in if I can.

My problem is that I'm so inactive I only have to allow myself the odd treat and I'm pushing 137lb again Blush Need to work on that.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 01/02/2016 09:21

done for you, Vague. sorry you've been ill though!

FelicityFunknickle · 01/02/2016 09:36

b: hard boiled egg with mayo.
The table is littered with everyone else's buttery croissants and strawberry jam. Envy [anger]

mustbemad71 · 01/02/2016 09:48

Just downloaded water logging app - you can set yourself a challenges and it reminds you to keep drinking with regular alarms. Hoping this will help me be consistent with the 3l a day!

ami9 · 01/02/2016 10:01

Well done to all. We completed 2 weeks☺ can someone kindly update my weight to 146 pounds. I was planning to go to boots to weigh myself as my scales are very old however my ds sick since saturday so not going to get a chance. Maybe its time i invested in one. I am also constipated so would love to know if anything can b done:)

GuyMartinsSideburns · 01/02/2016 10:04

Could someone add me please? Stayed the same again which is fine considering my crap day yesterday. I think I'm 129lbs. Many thanks x

Gcalgske · 01/02/2016 10:18

ami flax or psyllium will sort you out. X

Gcalgske · 01/02/2016 10:21

My favourite way to take flax is in yoghurt. I soak 10g in enough water to cover with a few frozen raspberries (once BC light) over night then mix through ff yoghurt with double cream and a little extract of your choice. Almond is gorgeous.

nekobus · 01/02/2016 10:33

Stayed the same, like a few others I see! Thinking it could be: portion sizes, constipation, payback for the lovely 6lb whoosh last week, not enough water & salt or just normal variation Hmm

Going to try and post my meals to see if I'm either sneaking in non-BC stuff or just plain eating too much (that's why I put on the weight in the first place - I'm really bad at stopping when full)

Non-MN hugs for those having a tough time, there is so much lovely support on here (for BC and life) Thanks

B - 2 babybel (made into wotsit crisps in microwave - whoever invented that is a genius!) BPC
L - LC salad with avocado, olives, feta and streaky bacon bits
D - 2 chicken thighs (with crispy skin) and salad

NigellasGuest · 01/02/2016 10:35

Vague it will still keep coming off don;t worry - make sure you're drinking enough water/herbal tea especially with that stomach bug.

Thumb I'm roughly the same age - must have something to do with it, surely! My main sticky out bit is just under the ribs, rather than the lower abdomen IYSWIM. Trying to do extra stomach crunches focussing on that area at the end of my exercise DVD. I don't believe it's too late - let's get our middles back! I've seen older women with trim middle areas - perhaps it's easier after menopause?

I'm down 2lbs so I'm pleased. that's more than last week. I have STS for the past 4 days but going by a weekly weigh in I've lost, so I'm focusing on that.

ami why don't you invest in some scales - then you can weigh first thing in the morning before eating. It's always lower! Plus you're not wearing all your clothes. It will be good for you psychologically!

Gcal is flax not carby then?

fohamy12 · 01/02/2016 10:45

2 lb off here, if it's not tmi, does anyone know why my AF is still here 3 weeks on? And I'm on the pill?!

hefzi · 01/02/2016 11:11

fohamy, StuntNun wrote something the other day about that - it's to do with oestrogen and fat, but please don't ask me to explain! It made sense, but I couldn't repeat it Grin

2lb off this week: in all honesty, it's been a tough week - I've been bloated all week, struggled to eat three times a day, and really suffered from some weird indigestion/wind/nausea thing. I'm going to try to jig things about a bit this week in the hope of a more comfortable approach to this WOE - it's a huge shame, as otherwise, it really works for me, though I've had to cut down massively on my portions of veg. I am embarrassed to realise that I had no idea how many carbs I was consuming before this BC, whilst thinking I was doing just fine Blush

Hoping my coconut oil will finally arrive this week - that should help with the fat intake. And cheese has been my go-to this week, and I am - frankly - ashamed when I realise how much I have consumed: that needs cutting down too! I'm going to stick with BC for the moment, so that it really goes into my head about making these changes last etc.
