Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation.

It sounds like there might be some good results, and I'm looking forward to hearing those.

Thank you all.
I will be checking in over the next week, but apologies if it's a bit sporadic.

billionaire don't forget dark choc! highest cocoa content you can, I like 85%, check the label as some carb levels vary - and just a square, not the whole bar! Not obligatory though, only if you feel like having a bit of choc, your sweet cravings should have gone by then and your palate changed too

You don't have to add nuts and berries but nice to have occasionally. I would not have berries every day, and would weigh them out when I do have them I do like using almond meal in dishes though

Gcalgske · 22/10/2015 22:18

Hello all! Hope we are all doing well?

Had chicken wings for breakfast along with coffee with cream.
Lunch was out at a fish and chip shop (meeting mil :( her choice) so ended up with a prawn salad. Mayonnaise was full fat and came with a couple of boiled eggs so could have been worse. Obligatory side order of chips and bread declined much to the shock of the waitress (she checked, a lot)
Dinner was creamy pesto poached chicken with courgettie and roasted cherry toms. This is LUSH and very quick chester

Roast a pack of cherry toms in a generous slug of olive oil and salt and pepper in the oven. Chop a large boneless chicken thigh or small breast per person into bite sized bits. Add low carb pesto (I use Lidls Baresa 2.9g/100g about 1/2 a 190g jar to make enough chicken for 2.5 people) to sauté pan with enough water out of a kettle to submerge chicken and make a poaching liquor. Poach chicken until cooked. Thicken liquor with double cream, Parmesan and a bit of butter. Toss hot sauce and chicken through raw courgettie (will cook it enough) or cooked pasta for carbivores. Top with the roasted cherry tomatoes.

Have a fab time Biwi don't worry about us here in the cold...

I'm going to try doing another week before BC lite as I've been so rubbish todayHaloween Sad although I'm away in Dorset for the week so hoping I can stick with it on lunches out. It a self catering cottage so will fill mit with lc goodies!

ChesterDrawers · 23/10/2015 06:19

That my tea for tonight sorted Gcal, sounds amazing!

PseudoBadger · 23/10/2015 07:07

Regeneration I have done lots of boot camps - some very successful and it's all just flowing nicely (like this one) and some where I've just not been in the zone, have been playing catch up and feeling guilty.

From my experience I recommend stopping, eating as you normally would for a few days and then coming back to it afresh. Just tagging another week on never works for me if it already hadn't gone well. So have a break, eat what you like and you will either decide that bread is a bit like pointless cardboard and BC might be a good idea, or you'll decide that actually life without carbs just isn't for you and you need another approach.

But struggling in week 2 will only make BC more difficult so for your own sake consider a time out - it's not nice feeling guilty all the time Flowers

BIWI · 23/10/2015 07:20

Those are very wise words.

Boot camp is designed to be simple to follow - but that doesn't mean it's easy to do.

And low carbing is hard in the real world so it's a definite commitment.

OP posts:
PseudoBadger · 23/10/2015 07:40

That's exactly it BIWI "it's simple, but it's not easy"!

Regeneration, what I'm trying to say that when you're in the right place you won't have to say "I hope I can stick with it".

If someone doesn't stick to the (simple) rules then they don't see results, then they get disheartened and don't stick to the rules, don't see results and so on.
It is very very hard to do Bootcamp if you're not fully committed as modern life is just not built for it.

glenthebattleostrich · 23/10/2015 08:49

Pseudo is right. If your head isn't in the right place it's better to take a step back. Saying that, if you are in the right frame of mind, its the best way of eating I've found. Satisfying and enjoyable.

Today's plan is

B FF yogurt, tea with coconut oil and cream
L tuna with cream cheese and salad
T not sure yet, probably something like bolognese
S cucumber with salt, cheese (if needed)

Really noticing my decreased appetite now, its fab.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 23/10/2015 09:05

I'd agree with that too - the first bootcamp I did I was fully in the zone and did really well; but since then I've found it harder and harder to stick with it. Still done ok, but lost less and less the quicker I cheat. Obviously, really!

I'm determined this time - going to really stick with it and drop below 11st, because then that will become my new "thus far and no farther" mark, instead of the 12st that currently holds that distinction.

Today:
B - lump of cheese, some of which I lost to the 3yo
L - actually brunch, out with friends - scrambled egg (probably 3 eggs), fried mushrooms, a sausage, baby spinach leaves and some hollandaise sauce and green tea.
D - lamb chops with veges.

StoneFoxMama · 23/10/2015 09:25

Soy double cream latte
I've got salad stuff, a piece of mackerel, goats cheese and an aubergine cumin and lemon salad to finish up.
Celeriac and slow cooked pork dauphinoise bake with flaked brussel sprouts and crispy parma ham

I'm having peanut butter cravings and I've run out of eggs. I've found a couple of eggs mashed with butter kill any cravings. I've been awake since 5 so always want lunch really early.

Huntthepigsear · 23/10/2015 10:31

stone if you want lunch really early, why don't you have more than a soy double cream latte for breakfast?

Doing well here in the Hunt household, although I think BIWI would despair at some of my DH's cheats. I have been 100% on track, which is unusual for me. I think I may continue BC, rather than going onto lite for another week or two. Maybe have a square of chocolate at the weekends.

Last night, started making dinner at about 20.45 as we have puppy training class on a Thursday. So, had sausages and mushrooms fried, with leeks and asparagus sauteed in butter, then mixed mozzarella and cheddar in, with a bit of cream to make a cheesy sauce. It was really yummy, and quick.

Today:
B - hb eggs and avocado, coffee with cream
L - leftover sausage with salad
D - Was going to be hm meatballs or burgers, but forgot to get the mince out of the freezer, so not sure
S - coffee with cream, have a hb egg and ff yoghurt in the fridge at work. they have been there all week and not eaten!

I'm off for half term next week, so will be more temptation around, will just have to make wise choices.

StoneFoxMama · 23/10/2015 11:02

Yeah, I know, you're so right. it's just at 4/5am it's all I can face and have time for.Tbf you don't want to know how much cream goes into it, it's pretty obscene.
Need to change things though, might have to work in a later breakfast as well but then it just feels too much and I feel sick. I hate being such an early riser.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 23/10/2015 11:03

Slightly carby breakfast - fishcakes made out of crab & salmon pate, squash, double cream, butter and DH stuck in a couple of tablespoons of flour to make it stick together better. However, that would have been 30g in the whole thing, and he had 75% of it. I shall be v good for the rest of the day!

Does anyone know what the carb count of squashes are? Not butternut squash - this one looked like a green pumpkin and came from Lidl. I was assuming it was a bit like swede.

Lunch will be more Asian coconut soup, or possibly crayfish tails in Marie Rose sauce (both need eating). Dinner probably stuffed chicken breast with more of the roast squash assuming the carb count doesn't turn out to be sky-high.

Huntthepigsear · 23/10/2015 11:29

stone I sympathise with the 4/5 am starts! Mine used to be like that, but now they are older, we have civilized 6 am starts. Grin
I take breakfast to work with me and have it sometime between 8 am and 10.30 am, depending on how hungry I am and what work I actually have to do. I also couldn't eat at 4/5/6 am.

Now, I want to know, is it wrong to just eat double cream straight out of the container? Definitely HFLC, but I thought probably not quite in the spirit of BC. Grin

regenerationfez · 23/10/2015 13:11

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll come off for a few days over half term and have a re look at it. I think part of it is that I'm trying to set up my business again and I have to get into a work routine and get used to having both kids at school so a different routine. I do feel much better and I don't miss the carbs but maybe a few days off will allow me to compare. I'll stay on the thread though because I have a feeling I'll not give up on it!

Whatsthematterwithme · 23/10/2015 13:16

Can I still join? I am at 203lbs now and something has to change asap.

readyforno2 · 23/10/2015 13:31

Think I forgot to post yesterday
B was scrambled eggs
L salad with cheese and mayo from IKEA
D was amazing! Kinda like courgetti carbonara but with leeks, chicken, shallots and bacon. It was delicious. Dh and the do had the same with spaghetti but mine looked better!

Was at the nurse this morning so kinda forgot about breakfast
L left over Bolognese sauce with cheese
D unsure just now.. Have taken chicken and pork out of the freezer so will be something around one of them with creamy leeks

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 23/10/2015 13:44

Whatsthematter - yes, of course you can still join :)

Liveinthepresent · 23/10/2015 13:53

Hello everyone - been another chaotic week for me so not been on the thread as much as I should be. Been doing ok though - feel like I am in the zone now.
Anyway DH managed to get our scales working so I faced them this morning as we are visiting family for the weekend and I need to remain focused.
Am 4lbs down.
I suspect this may be a bit of a false reading due to AF on start day but nonetheless am feeling pleased and determined!
Have a great time BIWI

Patapouf · 23/10/2015 14:53

stone you are a better woman than me, I find Paris so much worse for LCing!

I've really struggled with BC this week but I've planned meals for the next 7 days which ought to focus me more. I see BIWI has already been wielding her stick, I won't contribute until I'm participating fully, but needless to say I won't be switching to BClite next week.

Wombatinabathhat · 23/10/2015 17:02

Welcome whats
stone - I am a very poor sleeper and often awake from 4am. I could never eat when I first get up so I have coffee with double cream and then eat a breakfast of egg mayo or similar later in the morning.

B: Egg mayo
L: Mince with swede/carrot
D: Chicken curry
coffee with cream

Wombatinabathhat · 23/10/2015 17:03

Have a good time BIWI

DartmoorDoughnut · 23/10/2015 18:13

Finally worked out how to add myself onto the spreadsheet, couldn't insert a row though so I'm out of order alphabetically, sorry BIWI and Sayrra Flowers

Had a horrendous morning, felt like death! Not helped by having no eggs but feeling ok now thankfully although still have a cracking headache!

B-bacon and cheese, all I had in!
L-scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
D-steak with garlic mushrooms and runner beans

SayrraT · 23/10/2015 18:23

Dartmoor, that's good. Don't want people to insert rows! I prefer when people add their name to the end of the list so that's prefect!
