I've put on 2kg due to holiday, wine and carb only options at work catered events over the past few weeks and it needs to come off!
I'm back on BC today, anyone like to join me?

Hello, one day left to get myself back in gear, just doing the shopping list, wanted to make the corned beef flan mentioned on the last BC or possibly the inbetween one but can't find the recipe, something about chopping corned beef and shallot and press into tin for base then bake then filling was ricotta and eggs I think? Can anyone recAll, was it Miffy who posted? Tnx

Morning
Just wanted to say thank you to Gcalgske
....I will look at the milks you suggest, thank you for your help.

Gcalgske · 04/10/2015 21:55
Grin Food today: Still cannot eat much, especially at brekkie- coffee with cream, berroca and supplements Lunch was 2 strips pork belly and some leftover saag paneer (but really just saag as I ate all paneer at first sitting) Dinner was yummy. I was making pea and ham risotto for the carbivores so I did the same but with courgettie. Fried some lardons until crisp with a small shallot and a couple of finely chopped cherry toms. Deglazed pan with 2 tbsp dry white wine then added in a medium courgette spiralised (roughly 200g). Added in a ladle full of ham stock and let reduce for a couple of minutes then added a couple of tbsp double cream, small handful Parmesan, a few finely shredded basil leaves and half a dozen mange tout finely chopped. It was yummy.

Mmm your tea sounds lush Gcal. I had similar - risotto made with cauli rice with bacon, chicken, mushroom and blue cheese, was so tasty.

Today's plan:
B: eggs with cream and butter
L: salad with ham and avocado, olive oil
D: chicken thighs in tinned toms, with courgette, mushroom, green pepper ans shallot with cauli rice, cheese

Weighed myself this morning for the first time since sept 1 and I've lost 4lbs, not an amazing amount but a loss nonetheless. Scales now going away til November 1 as I am so much happier when my life is not dictated by a fluctuating number.

BIWI · 05/10/2015 08:57

Could you put all these lovely recipes on the recipe thread, please?

Thanks Grin

Gcalgske · 05/10/2015 09:57

Aye aye skipper!

ChesterDrawers · 05/10/2015 11:35

Done!

regenerationfez · 05/10/2015 12:25

Hi i've been off the thread for a while, as my internet was out for a few days. I also went rogue at the weekend as we had lots of events, one of which was a cheese and wine evening Shock so I just blew it out for the whole weekend and now seem to have put on the 2 lb I had lost during the week! I need to organise myself properly. I seem to be using this interim bootcamp as a 'starter' bootcamp so I can make all the mistakes before the real one, but I'm using it as an excuse to chomp away! I'm going back on track today though. We don't have any events over this weekend either, so i may be a bit better off.

BIWI · 05/10/2015 13:25

Oooh regen - that wasn't the event in Caterham was it?!

LexLoofah · 05/10/2015 14:39

So I got it wrong, thought BC started today Blush , ah well have psyched myself up now so may as well be a week ahead and also a good way to avoid the Christmas goodies that are in the shops already damn them!

B - leftover sausage, broccoli stalks fried in butter, 2 cups of tea (tried to get a coffee with cream in a cafe but they didn't have cream so ended up having another tea - grrr)
L - king prawns in garlic butter over greens, squeeze of lemon
D - roasted cauli flower, tikka sauce over roasted salmon

Just had a lovely cup of Twinings nutty chocolate assam with hazelnut milk, very praline-y, mmmm

regenerationfez · 05/10/2015 20:49

Biwi no I moved out of Sarf London\ Surrey many years ago, never to return! It was a school thing.

Gcalgske · 06/10/2015 09:10

I love that tea lex! Very yummy.
Latest adventures in foraging have resulted in hazelnuts. Yummy :D

Gcalgske · 06/10/2015 09:14

Yesterday I made more chicken wings baked in canned Parmesan and chilli powder so had some for lunch.
Dinner was Thai green curry with loads of veg; broccoli, mushrooms, pepper, shallot and a few mange tout shredded and tossed through at the end for crunch.

LexLoofah · 06/10/2015 12:32

Gcal it is sooo good, but exceedingly expensive isn't it? I hadn't noticed it was only 12 bags when I bought it, lovely packaging though. Special occasion/emergency only type of thing. I could easily get though a packet a week, need to try and get 2 mugs out of each bag.

B - 2 sb eggs mashed with butter and a cold sausage cut into strips for soldiers - lovely, wish I had thought to spread some marmite on now

L - tuna melt using large mushroom baked in olive oil, topped with tuna of course and lovely melted brie. HM Mayo on lettuce and cucumber

D - will be creamy lemon chicken over courgetti and whatever other veg is in the fridge

Gcalgske · 06/10/2015 22:13

B: coffee with cream
L: bacon, fatty pork chop, cucumber
D: stewed Ox cheeks (red wine, stock cube, leek, shallot, garlic mushrooms, oregano = gorgeous) with small portion cauliflower cheese

Kazzawazzawo0 · 07/10/2015 11:22

Yesterday I had bacon and eggs for late breakfast, coleslaw for lunch and home made burgers for dinner with salad. I had a snack of 2 squares of dark chocolate.

I have to stop weighing myself every day. I get upset if I've put a lb on, although I know it's probably natural fluctuations.

Gcalgske · 07/10/2015 23:07

Today:
B: coffee with cream, 3 chicken wings ( coated in canned Parmesan and chilli powder
L: not hungry
D: fatty pork chop, 1/2 large aubergine layered with tomato, basil and mozzerella, liberally sloshed on olive oil and baked. Yummy.
Snack: blue cheese and butter on cucumber crackers

Kazzawazzawo0 · 08/10/2015 20:24

Gcalgske the aubergine layered with mozzarella etc sounds lovely. I'll try that.

Today I had left over cottage pie (made with swede instead of potato) for breakfast, coleslaw and chicken breast for lunch and 2 low carb sausages with a pile of salad for dinner. My snack was a spoon of peanut butter Blush and a coffee with cream.

regenerationfez · 09/10/2015 22:58

I've just completely fallen off the wagon already! I have a terrible cold and have been guzzling the honey and lemon, ran out of milk and made the kids honey on toast for breakfast and had a couple of slices for me, and a few of their chips! gaaahhh!!!

Kazzawazzawo0 · 10/10/2015 11:03

I had a bad day yesterday too. I'm skint and there was no suitable food. Dh had a supermarket takeaway meal, I had some of the chicken Korma which wasn't too high in carbs, but I was so hungry I ate the rest of his naan bread, then a small bar of dark chocolate and finished off with a small vodka, lime and soda Blush

It's very difficult at the moment, I've very little money til next Friday and am cooking normal food for dh, veggie for dd and low carb for me!

BIWI · 10/10/2015 12:54

The big mistake in your thinking there, Kazza, is to think of what your DH is eating as 'normal' food - because by implication yours isn't! Low carbing can be totally normal. Why don't you cook you and him the same thing? No need to do different things, quite apart from the extra work you're making for yourself!

Kazzawazzawo0 · 10/10/2015 20:25

I do mostly cook the same food for both of us.

backonthewagon · 10/10/2015 20:49

Anyone got a BC friendly pumpkin pie recipe?

BIWI · 10/10/2015 20:52

Here's one

Just beware that it will not be Bootcamp friendly - because it uses artificial sweeteners. So wait until Bootcamp Light.

backonthewagon · 10/10/2015 21:01

Hi. I hope you don't mind me PMing you. I did the last bootcamp and am now on bootcamp light. On the bootcamp light rules you have listed macadamias with a carb count of 4.8. I was just wondering where you got them from as all the ones I have seen (Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons) range from 5.2 to 7.3. Now obviously 5.2 isn't TOO different from 4.8 and presumably won't make much difference but 7.3 is quite a lot higher.
