I've put on 2kg due to holiday, wine and carb only options at work catered events over the past few weeks and it needs to come off!
I'm back on BC today, anyone like to join me?

Thanks Lisa & lex xxx

Dinner was a bit weird, 2.5 slices of pork belly roasted until crispy crisp and seasoned with star anise salt, steamed cauliflower with butter and 2 Debbie & Andrews 97% sausages. Lots of pork today and too much processed meat. Should have had more veg and fat too. Will get to shops tomorrow to get cream and coconut oil.

whitershadeofpale · 24/09/2015 00:22

Well I've screwed myself over. I'd stalled a bit and was umming and ahhing about attempting a carb refeed. I went out for dinner with friends 2 nights ago where despite making what I thought were good choices all the sauces had cornflour and sugar in them. After that I decided to have a little bit of chocolate (3 triangles of toblerone). I have been sick as a dog since Sad. I've got a massive swollen belly, sharp stabbing pains, trapped wind, feeling nauseous and constipated. Plus I've got 2 spots where I hadn't had any in the last 2 months.

I'd forgotten that I used to feel this way fairly often (my Dr said it was a type of migraine). It's really brought home to me how much better I feel on this WOE and won't be trying it again any time soon. It didn't even taste very nice Sad.

HumphreyCobblers · 24/09/2015 06:22

hope you feel better soon whitershadeofpale, that sounds grim

Gcalgske · 24/09/2015 10:29

That's so infuriating when you think you've made a good choice and then end up with cravings and pain. Luckily you know the solution. Wink
Hope you feel better soon.

Food today:
Fasted till lunch (had a coffee with milk and a berroca with my probiotic and supplements)
Lunch was a slice of pork belly and two boiled eggs with a big mushroom fried in olive oil and belly pork fat.
Dinner was a green pepper halved and stuffed with fried veg (a little left over mushroom (the stalk), small bit courgette, a small shallot) and topped in each half with a tbsp of passata, a good pinch of oregano and powdered garlic then a low carb sausage de skinned and batted out flat. Finally a handful of mozzarella before being roasted for 20 mins until sausage cooked and cheese browned.

I'm going to try Low Carb for the first time from Monday, then start the Christmas Boot camp, I think. My stomach looks really bloated and clothes all look awful on me so I really need to motivate myself into doing something about it. I have the John Biffa book which I'm reading but I'm finding the Biwi Bootcamp rules easier to follow.

Gcalgske · 26/09/2015 21:13

Gcalgske · 27/09/2015 23:17

It's true!
Today's food:

I had a shocking weekend at my boyfriend's, now need to get back on track. How do I best undo the damage, apart from of course eating low carb? Will I have undone all the good work?

lisbapalea · 28/09/2015 09:25

Morning all! A new week, a new set of UNBREAKABLE promises from me... Two weeks of bootcamp lite before going hardcore on 12th October - am so excited for a real bootcamp to start again, to keep me in line and stop me from being a nob.

B - coyo and ff greek with berries and flaked almonds
L - hm salad with leftover bbq'd chicken, chopped celery, radish and cucumber, a bit of avocado and a few pieces of cherry tomatoes (all leftovers that needed using), plus lots of oily dressing and some leaves
D - prob another version of a chicken salad - we have lots of cooked chicken to eat up!

And LOADS of water! That's the thing I have really noticed I've become crap with. My pathetic excuse is that they're refurbing the loos at work which means I have to trek to another floor if I need the loo, and I use this as a useless, lazy excuse to not need the loo so much!

Kazzawazzawo0 · 28/09/2015 16:03

Weighed myself this morning and despite the weekend not being low carb, although not horrendously calorific, as I found out after putting everything into my fitness pal, I've lost another lb. That's half a stone in nine days, a third of what I want to lose.

Today I'm back on track, boiled egg with a little mayo for breakfast, fried chicken breast with salad and a little brie for lunch and something with mince for dinner, lots of black coffee and water Smile

Kazzawazzawo0 · 28/09/2015 16:07

I've got a slinky dress to wear for a wedding at the end of October, but have an awful spare tyre and little waist. How best to get rid of that or will it happen automatically?

Forgot to mention, I also walked the dog for over an hour this morning.

BIWI · 28/09/2015 16:16

Kazza make sure you're drinking plenty of water and keeping your fat levels high - that will really help

Kazzawazzawo0 · 28/09/2015 16:46

Thanks BIWI, will that help get rid of the spare tyre?

regenerationfez · 28/09/2015 16:57

Hi all, well on my first low carb day ever, I've so far had plain Greek ypughurt for breakfast with coffee and milk, then my plan for eggs for lunch went out the window because my DH decided to take the day off. It was also my day off cas Unwanted to take our son to his first full day of school, so our first free day for 8 years!!! We went to a Turkish restaurant for lunch and I had grilled lamb and salad which had an olive oil dressing. I skipped the bread, although I did have some hummus. My DH said he was doing the high carb Bootcamp, because he had to finish all my bread, as well as my portion of couscous!! Not sure if I'm overdoing the yoghurt, as I had a yoghurt drink with lunch ( unsweetened,) and am having a recipe I found in the Times magazine for yoghurt chicken that looked low carb. I'm drinking loads of liquid. If the chicken recipe tastes nice, I'll post it. It's a HFW one.

BIWI · 28/09/2015 17:55

kazza - well, a spare tyre is just fat, so nothing special about it!

regeneration - just be careful of the yoghurt, as it can get quite carby quite quickly

Gcalgske · 29/09/2015 08:53

Yesterday's food:
B coffee with cream, berroca
L 50g whole earth peanut butter with flax and pumpkin seeds (4.6g/100g) with 10g butter beaten in. Used as a dip for celery and cucumber sticks. Bulletproof coffee.
D low carb Bolognaise, courgettie cooked in garlic butter and olive oil.
S cheese crackers (made from 2 babybel) with avocado dip (1/2 small avocado, 2 tsp salsa, grated mozzarella)

lisbapalea · 29/09/2015 09:38

Yesterday went well - just a square of 90% choc to add to the list I wrote in the morning. I did also drink LOADS of water and reckon I am already into my second litre today. Feel like I am drowning myself!

Today:
B - double cream (ran out of yogurt) with unsweetened dessicated coconut and berries. Bit weird to have cream for breakfast but I am not complaining!
L - prob a salad from the canteen at work with boiled egg and tuna mayo
D - not sure, maybe cauliflower-cheese with bacon bits and a green salad

LexLoofah · 29/09/2015 14:29

OK back on it now several family birthdays and houseguests are behind us - got a much needed reality check yesterday when scales showed 3lb on - need to nip that in the bud asap

B - garlic mushrooms and scr eggs - must have used at least 3 tblsp butter!
L - salami & lettuce wraps, 2 dill pickles, cheese spread with butter & marmite, half small bar of dark choice and spoon of extra thick double cream
D - will be the moussaka I have just started making, smells lovely, using 20% fat lamb mince and aubergines roasted in gallons of olive oil

Gcalgske · 29/09/2015 19:55

Today I have not been hungry at all.
Had a couple of bpc (because I felt I had to have something fatty if nothing else)
Chicken stir fry with lots of bean sprouts, mushrooms and peppers in garlic olive oil, sesame oil and lime juice.

RomiiRoo · 29/09/2015 20:23

Gcalske, I am really sorry for your loss. I remember you posting your dad was taken ill and I am sorry this was the outcomeFlowers

I just popped on to see when the new BC is. I am not sure about doing it this time; I am maintaining reasonably - 2lb on since my lowest weight over the summer which would be good to get off again, but really busy so not sure if I will be able to keep up with the thread. Need to decide!

ChesterDrawers · 30/09/2015 07:00

I've signed up for the next bootcamp, but want to get started Asaph so hope no one minds if I post my food and ramblings here til the 12th. Not really organised yet today so will be more BC light til I get to the shops tomorrow.

B: 2x boiled eggs, knob of butter
L: omelette with cheese, ham, mushrooms, peppers, onion
D: spag Bol, with courgetti, cheese

If I'm peckish in the afternoon, I'll have a BPC, but otherwise no snacking.
