I've put on 2kg due to holiday, wine and carb only options at work catered events over the past few weeks and it needs to come off!
I'm back on BC today, anyone like to join me?

Hi everyone

Congratulations BIWI Flowers

I have quietly BCed away for the last couple of weeks, but have eased up a little for my birthday and associated going out. That's all done now, so I am back on as of today.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Kazzawazzawo0 · 19/09/2015 10:55

Thanks BIWI, I'll have a look at the recipes.

In the past cheese does seem to have slowed down my weight loss, but without it I find low carb quite boring.

BIWI · 19/09/2015 12:23

Then you definitely need to check out the recipe thread!!!

whitershadeofpale · 19/09/2015 12:51

Thanks BIWI Flowers

LexLoofah · 19/09/2015 13:50

kazza there's a minced beef curry recipe on the thread that is very nice and there's meatzza which is very good too! it's pizza but using minced beef as the base, can't link from here but Google it, I use the one from the blog called the clothes make the girl or something like that, she has a great section on all different meatballs as well, the gyoza ones are very good

Kazzawazzawo0 · 19/09/2015 14:32

Pizza made with mince sounds interesting - and filling!

It's difficult because dd is vegetarian.

BIWI · 20/09/2015 17:10

OK so I'm properly back on the wagon tomorrow. I don't have any more travelling (at least not in the short term) so I can be much more in control of what I'm eating.

I'm getting back into the gym properly as well, now I'm actually going to be in my house for the foreseeable! Had a session yesterday, another tomorrow and the next one on Wednesday, before I see my PT again next weekend.

HumphreyCobblers · 20/09/2015 17:43

I accidentally ran into some high carb food today at Abergavenny Food Festival. It was a grilled cheese sandwich and a pint of cider Blush

back on the wagon tomorrow. I shall take inspiration from your gym plans BIWI and go for a run.

Kazzawazzawo0 · 20/09/2015 21:44

I'm trying to get out more with the dog, I don't do other exercise, but I like walking.

I've managed well so far. I'm counting carbs on My Fitness Pal, yesterday I had 22g carbs, today 16g. Does that sound ok?

lisbapalea · 21/09/2015 15:31

Very excited by the prospect of another bootcamp - might stick it in the diary! I definitely need that to keep me on the straight and narrow!

I have found that my lapsing doesn't really happen for proper meals - I manage to keep those low carb quite easily. My main problem is my slack approach to snacks or treats which seem to be the things that creep back into my diet most easily when I am not into the discipline of daily posting and weekly weighing which is what I get from the proper bootcamp.

Anyway, analysis aside, I am yet again climbing back onto the wagon. Today:

B - COYO and Total plus a few berries, and a few flaked almonds
L - boiled egg, tuna mayo, hm coleslaw and salad
D - a rehash of yesterday's roast: pork belly plus crackling, swede and celeriac mash, broccoli, roast celery.

AND NO PUDDING, I PROMISE!

Wombatinabathhat · 22/09/2015 20:18

Hello all
I'm going to lurk on your thread until the next boot camp
I've done a few bootcamps with BIWI but couldn't get into the last 2.
Think I'm ready to try again.

Good luck all Thanks

HumphreyCobblers · 22/09/2015 21:16

hello everyone
it is apple harvest time here, we are lucky enough to have a brilliant crop this year and I am having to resist...I find this the hardest bit of low carbing actually, I grow an awful lot of fruit and much of it I am now not eating. Figs all went to DH Envy too.

BIWI · 22/09/2015 22:10

Bleurgh. I hate figs.

Gcalgske · 22/09/2015 23:01

Can I slink back in?

I'm a total mess, lost dad in August suddenly and I've gone off the rails food and booze wise. I've given myself the stern talking to (that dad would have done) and decided I must restart weightloss and healthy eating again.

Missed the chat and support from you lot.

Kazzawazzawo0 · 22/09/2015 23:23

Sorry for your loss Gcalske.

I'm managing to stay in track, I've lost 6 lbs over the last for days Smile

I know the loss will slow down now, but if I could lose a lb a week I would be happy.

HumphreyCobblers · 23/09/2015 07:57

so sorry you lost your Dad Gcalske.

BIWI · 23/09/2015 09:21

So sorry Gcalgske Flowers

Gcalgske · 23/09/2015 09:47

Thank you lovelies.
Today has started well with my berroca in a pint of water and a coffee with a splash of whole milk (no cream in the house). I tend to find it easier to fast for a bit to restart.

iamaboveandBeyond · 23/09/2015 10:10

Oh gcal :( Flowers

I'm restarting, have gone waaaay off the rails recently. I'll blame my change of meds as i've been feeling really sick and have to constantly eat (very much like morning sickness) to keep that feeling at bay. But can only stomach the idea of whatever i fancy at that moment, which has pretty much just been crap.

And as prdicted, my gastro ishoos flared up again, leaving me feeling shit because of that, as well as already feeling ill. And now i have a cold too. Fuxache.

So, starting gradually in the hope of not adding carb flu to the list. Do you think the best way to do this is too keep nuts/berries/sweet potatoes to start, before slowly dropping them?

iamaboveandBeyond · 23/09/2015 10:32

Oh balls, i've just thought of something. We're going half board to dlp for a week soon. I think breakfast (cheese and ham every day) and dinner (restaurants) might be okay, but what about things like hotdogs and burgers that are the lunch option. And surely this is no where near enough veg?! Will have to have a look and start planning Hmm

lisbapalea · 23/09/2015 10:50

Sorry to hear your news gcal - must have been a horrible couple of months for you so don't give yourself a hard time about what you've been eating while you deal with it all.

It's day three of being back on the wagon for me! Am even wearing a jumper that I last wore on my honeymoon 8yrs ago - that's to inspire me not to lapse otherwise the bloated belly will re-emerge and the jumper will look shit! Food update for yesterday:

B - coyo, ff greek, raspberries and flaked almonds
L - marinated grilled veg (courgette, mushrooms and a bit of pepper) with some peri peri chicken
D - massive salad with oily dressing and mayo with avocado, asparagus, soft boiled egg, bacon and mozzarella

And plan for today:
B - same as yesterday
L - will be a veggie soup poss with som chunks of cheese
D - going out for dinner with a friend and will choose meat or fish with some veg

Gcalgske · 23/09/2015 12:45

Fasted till 12:30 and then demolished 2 eggs, bacon, salad and coleslaw. Love my local playbarn - they are ace with DD's allergies and when I ordered a 'bacon and egg roll, no roll' they brought me it with salad and creamy coleslaw (it's homemade with double cream, jarred mayo and mostly cabbage) because I was overheard in the queue to tell another mum I was back on low carb. Win!
Thanks everyone for your kindness. Need you lot to keep me on the straight and gettingnarrower.

Is anyone up for an interim bootcamp?
Gcalgske · 23/09/2015 13:35

Sorry to hear you've been feeling poorly beyond, side affects can be worse that what you are taking the bloody drugs for. X

HumphreyCobblers · 23/09/2015 13:49

Anyone else find themselves baking when low carbing? I am making cakes for my ds2, dd, sil, and two dsis.

They don't tempt me as much as the apples though!

LexLoofah · 23/09/2015 15:15

Sorry for your loss gcal have missed your menus and recipes, welcome back
