I've put on 2kg due to holiday, wine and carb only options at work catered events over the past few weeks and it needs to come off!
I'm back on BC today, anyone like to join me?

Sounds like you're doing a really good job of keeping them under control.

Mmm, Yddraig, thats very interesting to read: what a difference low carbing has made to your 'diabetic' blood sugar levels. I first came across low carb when reading up on type II, O/H was diagnosed in 2006. I didn't really get the hang of it all, its all soooo different, til i found these threads with BIWI et al.

Brilliant, Im now a real fan. Setting ff on holiday, lots of rich meals expected and few very relaxed about keeping low carb OK. Thanks all, Finally (Finally getting round to successful weight loss). xx

WTAF is a general motors weight loss diet week?!

Dixie - Have a look at our spreadsheet

If you look at the bottom, at the tabs, you'll find Bootcamp rules.

There are only 10 rules. Bootcamp has been designed to be as straightforward as possible to follow, so there's no weighing or counting.

eight bananas!
Low carbing is MUCH more fun Dixie.

Had roast chicken and runner beans for tea.

Hi there can I join/rejoin? I have just finished my placement so ready for it again now. I have maintained perfectly since boot camp finished which I am really impressed with as I normally put anything I lose straight back on but the carbs are creeping up again. If I could lose another stone before Christmas that would be amazing. I also have insanity that I borrowed off a friend so starting that tomorrow. eekk

HumphreyCobblers · 15/09/2015 20:28

Hello ditavonteesed, well done for maintaining. I am not so good at that. I am hoping that now I am not planning any more babies to mess up my eating (I cannot seem to eat properly when pregnant) I can get to the point where I can maintain.

dogdaydisaster · 16/09/2015 09:32

I think I need to get back onboard. I've been doing slimming world since January and have lost a stone but I'm still totally desperate for sugar. So I'm going back to the low carb woe, as it's worked before.

So it was bacon, eggs and mushrooms for breakfast. I have to use skinless chicken breasts to use for dinner- not sure what I can do with those tonight? Creme fraiche and leeks/mushrooms?

Lurkity lurk

whitershadeofpale · 16/09/2015 12:46

All going quite well here. I lost 2 1/2lbs last week. I've finally had my cast off and moved to an airboot so hopefully I'll be able to start getting more mobile soon.

I had my first real slip up on Monday. I went out for a friend's birthday, made good choices and was feeling good but then she produced some chocolate chip cookies she's made (one for each of us) and it would have been rude to refuse. Almost straight away I had a headache, not sure if its my imagination or the sugar?

It made me realise how I've broken the sugar addiction, I really didn't enjoy it and it made me more determined to carry on with this woe.

BIWI · 16/09/2015 18:02

I plan to start the next Bootcamp on Monday 12 October.

I'll do a new sign-up thread shortly.

dogdaydisaster · 16/09/2015 19:09

That's brilliant, DHs 50th is Saturday 10th so the timing couldn't be better.

I'd forgotten how tasty this woe is- currently tucking into chicken stuffed with garlic butter wrapped in bacon, caulk mash and broccoli, with a mushroom Creme fraiche sauce - yum!

MissFitt68 · 16/09/2015 19:19

If forgotten how expensive it is! And I need to do top up shops quite frequently I'm finding

HumphreyCobblers · 16/09/2015 19:37

I had waitrose gluten free sausages tonight, they are much nicer than Black Farmer imo and v low carb. I also roasted tomatoes with lots of oil, rosemary and garlic. Was all good.

I have done my last ever breastfeed!

ShebaQueen · 16/09/2015 22:10

Woohoo, looking forward to bootcamp BIWI. I'm another pound down this week, am enjoying trying some of the recipes from the recipe thread.

ditavonteesed · 17/09/2015 07:20

yay, that's such good timing for me. I lost 18lbs last boot camp if I could do that again I will be properly winning. Started a yoga class last night and it was so lovely, I love exercise which involves lying down.

HumphreyCobblers · 17/09/2015 08:45

18lbs!!! Wow

whitershadeofpale · 18/09/2015 20:32

Just made corgetti for the first time. I had it with a creamy blue cheese sauce, griddled chicken and raw tomatoes tossed through.

It was absolutely delicious and I don't even usually like courgettes (it's the mushy texture)

whitershadeofpale · 18/09/2015 23:31

I was thinking of making this during the week but the carbs seem high, does 16g seem right?

Kazzawazzawo0 · 19/09/2015 00:10

Can I join in?

I need to lose about 20 lbs in the next 6 weeks or so for a wedding. I've done boot camp before, but always struggle after the first few weeks.

I can't go without cheese, it's the only thing that makes it interesting for me.

Has anyone got some good mince recipes? I'm on a very tight budget (£50 for me, dh and dd14 and 3 cats per week), so only cheap meat and veg. If I get bored I tend to fall off the wagon Blush

BIWI · 19/09/2015 08:16

That seems quite high for the ingredients that are being used - but it's an American website, and they include fibre in their carb counts - so if you have another look at the nutritional information, you can see that it's actually 10g (or 9 as they show it!) per portion, which is much better.

BIWI · 19/09/2015 08:18

Kazza - welcome! Who told you that you have to go without cheese?! the only reason you might have to knock it on the head is if you find that dairy makes your weight loss stall.

Have you looked at the Bootcamp recipe thread? It's stickied at the top of the Bootcamp board. Lots of lovely recipes there, lots of economical ones - and also lots that use mince! The good thing about low carbing is that we should be eating high fat meat, and those cuts are usually the cheapest.
