I've put on 2kg due to holiday, wine and carb only options at work catered events over the past few weeks and it needs to come off!
I'm back on BC today, anyone like to join me?

Sorry for your loss gcalgske Flowers. Well, I have been doing OK so far (2days)! except last night I had a work do in the evening, had to get kids from school, fed and out as soon as DH got home. Just had time to fry up some sausages. There were loads of sandwiches\pastry and wine there. I was so hungry I had quite a few, though not as much as I would normally. I'm back on it today though. Plain youghurt for breakfast. I'm really surprised that my sugar cravings seem to have disappeared overnight and my belly is not so bloated already! I can happily eat Greek youghurt without anything sweet in it. I went shopping yesterday. Everything that wasn't veg, like sausages, I just made sure it was less than 3g carbs per 100g. Is that right? Fatty meat is cheaper than the lean!!

Gcalgske · 30/09/2015 10:57

Thanks x

TowerBlock · 30/09/2015 12:22

I"m in.. I'm hopeless at this. Need to lose 2 stones. I'm 160llbs and not fitting into much. Had a pork pie today and trying to drink water which I don't like. Is it ok to drink sparkling water?

TowerBlock · 30/09/2015 12:23

Good to see Greek yogurt is allowed. I thought we couldn't eat sausages.

regenerationfez · 30/09/2015 12:59

I thought we could eat sausages that had a carb count below 3g per 100g? so posh ones? Lucky this is only pre Bootcamp!

backonthewagon · 30/09/2015 13:42

BIWI I did the last bootcamp and am now on bootcamp light. Where did you find macadamias with a carb count of 4.8? All the ones I have seen (Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons) range from 5.2 to 7.3!!

HumphreyCobblers · 30/09/2015 21:21

I fell off the wagon today and ate an apple

ChesterDrawers · 30/09/2015 22:16

First day back on LC done. Found it pretty easy actually, although I know I've got the joys of carb flu awaiting me. Did have a small glass of red wine to finish the bottle but as I am going for the easy in approach, I'll call that a win.

BIWI · 01/10/2015 00:20

Sparkling water is fine!

Humph - don't feel guilty about an apple - it won't have been that bad. Honestly.

Sausages are fine, as long as they're low carb. The Black Farmer ones are, I think, the tastiest, although a lot of the supermarket premium ones are also very good. Just check the carbs on the back of the packet.

And you can eat veg that's more than 3g per 100g, just be more judicious about how much you're eating.

HumphreyCobblers · 01/10/2015 07:44

Thanks BIWI Smile

I like the waitrose gluten free sausages, low carb and v tasty

ChesterDrawers · 01/10/2015 22:36

Day two done - BC light but easing myself in gently.

B: eggs, butter
L: salmon, salad, olive oil
D: spag Bol, courgetti, cheese
S: probs 50g mixed nuts, 3 gins and slims Blush

Still no sign of carb flu, obv waiting til the weekend!

Kazzawazzawo0 · 02/10/2015 07:43

Yesterday I was in and out all day and didn't eat properly really.

Breakfast - bacon and eggs
Lunch - coleslaw and brie
Dinner - pork chop

I had a very small vodka lime and soda in the evening Blush

I've lost half a stone in the last 13 days Smile

ChesterDrawers · 02/10/2015 10:19

Wow Kazza, great weightloss. I'm trying to stay away from the scales as they mess with my mind, but I'm already feeling less bloated.

Today's plan:
B: eggs and butter, courgette slices fried in butter
L: shopping in a bit but thinking something like avocado, Parma ham, salad, olive oil
D: chicken curry with coconut cream, cauli rice fried in coconut oil

Kazzawazzawo0 · 02/10/2015 10:45

I don't normally weigh myself either, but at the moment I can feel the weight dropping off, so feel quite safe weighing myself.

Another stone to go, but I already feel better.

lisbapalea · 02/10/2015 11:20

Hi all,

Having a bit of a shit week with various at home worries. Slept terribly on Wednesday night which made me feel hungover yesterday despite no booze, so ended up being a carby twat. Trying not to beat myself up about it though.

I did actually weigh myself on Tuesday for the first time since last bootcamp finished - thought I would have gained loads but by some flipping miracle I was actually lighter than I thought and have finally dipped under 12 and a half stone. Might not be the case after yesterday's numptiness but keeping fingers crossed that I can get to 11 and a half stone by the end of the next bootcamp.

So today:
B - two poached eggs and two rashers of bacon from the work canteen. never normally do that but didn't have time for breakfast at home so thought I would try it out. Was delicious!
L - something else from canteen, prob tuna and boiled egg salad
D - not sure yet!

LexLoofah · 02/10/2015 13:15

lisb sleep deprivation is the worst for carb cravings, sympathies and sorry you are having a bad week

Need a quick dinner tonight, just picked up saucy fish co prawn, squid and chorizo bake in a bag thingy in waitrose - says it is 1g carbs per 100g and it is 270g, sounds ok?

ChesterDrawers · 03/10/2015 09:06

Day four, and still going strong. Did have wine last night but that will stop once I go onto BC proper - quite enjoying the soft launch approach Grin especially the lack of carb flu. Although I am a bit worried that means I'm not doing it right.

Today's plan:
B: oopsie roll bacon, mushroom and avocado buttie, all bits fried in lovely butter
L: out at new restaurant. No idea what the menu is, so just hoping there's something good I can eat without looking like too much of a freak
D: got a couple of steaks out, so will have with swede chips, asparagus and brocolli and a creamy blue cheese sauce

God I love this diet Grin

Kazzawazzawo0 · 03/10/2015 19:16

I'm another lb down Smile

I'm not very hungry these days.

Today I had boiled eggs with ham and mayonnaise for breakfast, stirfry with soy sauce for dinner. At lunchtime just a coffee with cream because I got up late anyway.

whitershadeofpale · 03/10/2015 21:48

I'm doing pretty well. Today I just had a coffee and cream this morning as I was meeting someone for lunch, lunch turned into a late lunch where I had a chicken Caesar salad (no croutons), just starting to feel peckish again now so might have some berries with extra thick double cream. Bit of a weird day but still low carb.

Hyggeligt · 03/10/2015 22:30

Hi - may i join you please? I have signed up for the pre Christmas boot camp but am quite keen to get started as i have managed to put on about 10 lbs since June Blush
i stopped drinking diet coke and diet pepsi last weekend ( i usually have a can or bottle a day..) and have felt really foul this past week but my headache went yesterday, so I am ready for eating plan now! You all have some fantastic results and seem to be doing so well. Do you track carbs and calories? Is there a recommended limit for either if following this for weight loss as well as well being?

i asked a question on the pre-Christmas thread, but may post it here too?
I see that milk is allowed to some extent, in tea - should that be full fat milk? ( i drink 3 or 4 cups a day...too much?)

Also is coconut milk eg the Alpro coconut milk ok if used in a green breakfast smoothie - eg with avocado, spinach and cucumber? it is 2.7g carbs per 100ml or could/should i add greek yoghurt instead? Or, would that be too much dairy and I would be better making a different breakfast choice all together?!?
Thank you for any advice, I really want to get this right having not looked after myself too well of late
Many thanks

pklme · 03/10/2015 22:55

Looks good, how do I sign up? I lost 2.5stone last year, kept it off until I had an operation this spring. So I put a stone on again, and want to shift that one as well as about three more! I'm back on the LC wagon now, and 5lb down.??

Gcalgske · 04/10/2015 00:07

Food today:
Still cannot stick breakfast. Coffee with cream is all I can get down me along with a myriad of supplements, probiotics and pain meds. :) the joys!
Lunch: really really awful. Small piece pork belly, half a small bar 85% choc (about 15g)
Dinner: two chicken thighs roast in olive oil (with skin), cauliflower cheese.

I made a big cauli cheese (350g cauli) but in the end could only eat 1/2. My appetite is non existent.

Drinking lots of water.

Gcalgske · 04/10/2015 00:21

Re. Sausages I don't like black farmers as have soya in them (my hormones are messed up enough plus DD is allergic so I tend to avoid). If I'm flush I have Debbie and Andrews 97% Harrogate ones and when skint Aldi Lincolnshire ones are low and taste ok. They make fab sausage meatballs in a tomato sauce.
Hyggeligt I think that ideally milk is out but I cannot stick black tea. I use full fat milk and measure it - I was shocked how much I was having (70mls in a cuppa) which really builds up if you are having a few. I now only have a splash or switch to almond milk (which isn't the same but nice anyway).

Re. Coconut milk/ almond milk etc, they are fine as long as you check the carb count. Stick to unsweetened. Alpro have a lovely almond milk that's very low which I use for milky coffee, cocoa etc (0.1g/100ml) or I also like blue diamond almond breeze (0.3g/100g). Alpro coconut milk is a bit higher off the top of my head around 3g/100g but it's low fat too which isn't great. For a smoothie I'd go for canned coconut milk, it has similar carbs but has the benefit of lots of fat which will keep you fuller longer.

Gcalgske · 04/10/2015 00:24

Speaking of sausages the Debbie & Andrews are on 2 for £5 in Tesco. They are 0.5g/100g and very yummy.
