Good morning! Already seen that there are some good losses, even for those in the dreaded week 3 Grin

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I love this point in Bootcamp. It's such a leap of faith for so many people when they first start low carbing, because it seems so strange to eat all the fat we're told to eat. But then when the scales show the result, I love it!

B- 3 bacon 1 egg. (No eggs left)
L- chicken breast and broccoli soup
D?

Food shopping is desperately needed and we are limping toward dp's payday.
Hoover, iron and kettle all broke within 2 weeks of each other and then we had to pay £200 to the plumber to fix the boiler!

I will lose weight this week by being poor.....

Liveinthepresent · 26/01/2015 11:36

Morning all and well done for all the great losses.
Am 3lbs down here and over the moon that its working again - so i am back at my pre christmas weight now - can see in my face that i am losing weight.
Today -
B - Omelette with a little ham and cheese
L -black farmer sausages and some veg
D - Meatza and large salad

Yum.

Only thing slightly worrying me is that i keep feeling unwell and getting terrible indigestion - but hope its unrelated as i didnt have the same issues last time.
Sorry to hear you are having issues with it youremywifenow and sorelip that must be very frustrating - health first though .

Mrsstevejones · 26/01/2015 11:41

I have found my shopping bills have gone down as we are eating lovely rich food we need less of it. Also i am not buying bread ( 1 loaf a week for the kids), half as much fruit ( i must have eaten tonnes of the stuff) expensive cereals ( kids on slow cooker porridge) and fatty meat is cheaper than lean bits.

Also no late night munchies, wine or takeaways - hubby isnt much of a drinker and i always like a total alcoholic if i open a bottle (to myself) at weekends!

Sending sympathies sass being poor sucks and i hate it when things need replacing - my kettle is leaking but limping on - nice ones are stupidly expensive!! Just hope it doesnt electrocute me first!

lurkingmurking · 26/01/2015 11:52

Yes I seem to be saving money too. I'm meal planning everything and only buying what we need which is great and obviously no wine saves about £20 a week! I'm also hoping that I'll kick the snacking habit this week which will mean less trips to M&S for yummy salami.

Also bringing lunch to work everyday saves a fortune.

yongnian · 26/01/2015 11:57

Hello all - well done everyone!
I'm taking my lowest weigh of the week - my water intake over the weekend was just not enough and this am I think I've regained some water weight. Will remedy that shortly.
So that would make it a 5lb whoosh for me. Please could someone update the spreadsheet to 165 for me? My iPad just won't play with it anymore. thank you muchly!
Back later to log food.

StuntNun · 26/01/2015 12:03

Not a good weigh in for me this morning due to an SOS (socially obligated sugar) incident yesterday but I'm still looking good for my target for weight gain this pregnancy. It looks like I'll finish this pregnancy quite a bit lighter than I was when I first started Bootcamp in 2013 so I won't have so much to lose this time round. I'm currently doing Bootcamp Light but with extra carbs to support the pregnancy which is a tricky fine line to tread. It's not so bad though as I know how well Bootcamp works so I know I'll be able to lose the weight again in a safe, controlled way later in the year.

Just put my weigh in on the spreadsheet and got a pleasant surprise - I'd remembered my starting weight incorrectly, so am actually 2.25 lbs down Smile

Notagainmun · 26/01/2015 12:44

Lost 4.8! Really pleased. Love the fact that I don't get hungry between meals. Not sure if I will leave weighing in for two weeks as I will be on my period next Monday and I usually retain a lot of fluid so I won't get a true reading and might get despondent.

Well done all.

Thumbwitch · 26/01/2015 12:44

Yongnian - done Smile

Sorelip - sorry to hear you're having to pull out because of your thyroid - hope it gets under control again very soon SmileThanks
and You'remywife - bummer re. gallstones! Sad - when are they taking your gallbladder out?

Hockneypool · 26/01/2015 12:45

Hi everyone

1lb down for me. Pretty pleased as it's a new way of eating and thinking about food. Had some major difficulties some days, due to lack of planning and then a weekend away.

Let's see if I can do better this week!

Supermum0203 · 26/01/2015 12:47

Afternoon to all of you. Well done to all the losers....!!!
BIG disappointment this week as I have been following the diet perfectly and I haven't lost nothing.
I have to say that I have enjoyed this woe but I can't help to feel a bit under the water after the results. Anyway I tried to add my weight but I can not open the sheet so if any kind soul woul like to add it? Please?
68 horrible kg

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 26/01/2015 12:55

I'm not on the spead sheet because I can't edit it on my iPad but I've been in since Thursday, daily weigher and I went down 3 and up 2 so 1lb down so far. I am positive for some good over all loss at the end of the week, as I'm being super on it today.

miffy49 · 26/01/2015 12:57

I'm weighing in tomorrow as I find I do better mid week even though I don't go off piste at weekends. I think its a stress thing as I have to try and get the weekly shop sorted and I never get space to myself to exercise at weekends. This weekend has been worse than ever as DH was given some new tablets for his crappy knees and nearly collapsed in Aldi!

Chester I love Aldi avocados too! You seem to get one that's spot on to eat and one that will last a few days in each pack which is useful. DS bought himself a pack from Sainsburys that were loads more expensive and even after a week on the window ledge they were still hard enough to put a window through! Grin

Sass sympathies on the budget. Same boat here as DH has had to cut his hours so we are a good third down on income. I do find it gets cheaper as you get into it though. You lose the need to snack once you get properly fat-adapted and the meals are more satisfying so I eat much smaller portions now. DH and eldest DS both do Slimming World and its like having two VERY hungry caterpillars round the house. They can snack for England and will get through their own body weight in Muller Light yoghurts given half a chance!

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 26/01/2015 12:59

Can I share my delicious soup recipe? Mushrooms, tiny bit of leek and celery and a load of cauliflower cooked in veg stick with salt, pepper and cumin. Blended up with a dollop of Greek style yoghurt. It's lush.

Zucker · 26/01/2015 13:04

3 down Smile

Going to do an online shop now to keep me on the straight and narrow this week too.

trashcanjunkie · 26/01/2015 13:06

I'm four lbs down! Woo hoo. Although feel as miserable as fuck today... Which has little to do with lc and everything to do with hormones I think, and winter gloom. Might go for a dirty sunbed later before I get the dcs. stunty I'm so impressed at your dedication through pg! Its not that long now for you either is it?

So today I had cottage cheese with hot butter from the pan of baby plum tomatoes and bacon for breakfast, and lunch will be hm chicken and mushroom soup (all blended up with double cream and fresh chilli) it's so bloody marvellous to be able to eat dairy again after my food poisoning disaster last bc.

Dinner is probably going to be belly pork and cabbage, all though I too am surprised at the carb count on that and sprouts so after that, no more cabbage for us.

Well done everybody

Almahart · 26/01/2015 13:07

Is anyone else feeling a bit wobbly emotionally? I feel extremely angry!! And anxious at the same time. Actually its a bit like pmt (although it can't be). Is it likely to be hormonal? I was thinking it might be issues around losing weight, as I've never stucj to a diet before, but perhaps it is hormones running amok

imustbepatient · 26/01/2015 13:08

Sorelip and Youremywife sorry to hear your news, hope your health improves quickly.

Supermum, really sorry you haven't lost anything, it just doesn't seem fair does it. But keep at it and I'm sure you'll have a great result next week. Maybe today is just one of those days where your weight has fluctuated upwards. Have you taken your starting measurements (waist, bust, hips, top of thigh etc)? I've noticed lots of people have commented that some weeks they don't lose on the scales but do on the tape measure. I know this has been the case with me on previous diets too. (If it's any consolation, your current weight is what I want to get down to! I'm another dense bunny and would be a size 10 - 12 at that weight!)

Today I've had:

B: two fried eggs with a dollop of mayo and a coffee with cream
L: a LC feta, olive and cucumber M&S salad, prawns dipped in mayo, some piri piri chicken slices and a bag of pork scratchings (can you tell a. I left my planned lunch at home and had to pillage M&S and b. I am feeling v hungry!)
D: will be lamb steaks served with whatever LC vege is still lurking in the fridge, cooked in butter (grocery day is Tuesday so Monday night is always a bit of a foraging affair)

Well done everyone for sticking at it for week 1 and good luck to all of us for week 2.

cymrukernow · 26/01/2015 13:10

EhricLoves that soup sounds yum. Will have to try it. Getting dangerously low on veg supplies today, hopefully I can make it out shopping later but now got both kids home sick ??

Almahart · 26/01/2015 13:12

Cross posted with trashcan there!

sassandfaff · 26/01/2015 13:41

Budgeted for £60 and spent £58!

I'm hoping myself and the family agree with all the recommendations for swede mash, as I have bought 4!

chipping we get the 2 pack of avocados from aldi too, they are always ripe.

Miffy do dh and Ds not agree with lcing then? What a pita having to cook different meals.

alma my mood swings have been shocking. I went to bed before 9 last night I was that moody. Everything and everyone was irritating the heck out of me. I feel like smashing things sometimes. Blush

I have rubbish blood sugars. I get gd when I'm pregnant and even when I'm not I'm hypoglycemic. I thought this diet would put an end to it, esp as I was addicted to ff coke, but to be honest I am still all over the place.

mrssteve we got this one. It boils super quick.

sassandfaff · 26/01/2015 13:42

BIWI · 26/01/2015 13:45

Supermum

A couple of things - firstly, you currently weigh 10 stone 6 lbs. It is likely (unless you're teeny tiny, of course!) that you haven't got that much to lose. How tall are you?

Second, you say:

BIG disappointment this week as I have been following the diet perfectly and I haven't lost nothing.

I invariably find, when people say they've been following the rules perfectly, that they haven't Grin

List out for me what you've been eating over the last 2-3 days and let me see if I can spot anything that might help you.
