Evening all.

I'm starting this thread earlier than usual because I have to be up and out of the house by 7.30 tomorrow.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness as usual

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

I hope the God of Wooshes is looking favourably on you all!

From tomorrow I have 19 days until I fly off to Somewhere Hot, so I will be super vigilant and fighting off those pesky carbs with much vim and vigour.

I was coming to shame myself.

Been on the straight and narrow apart from not eating yesterday. But certainly not cheating with carbs. And all day I've had huge cravings. I even found myself here on the way home.

I took a photo rather than buy anything. But blimey I wanted to.

Chocolate cravings? Funny thing is I don't actually much like chocolate.

Bizarre.

problem is ratherbe I do love that stuff. In fact I could just walk 5 mins around the corner. There is a shelf just like that there. It was my friend on bad days, and tired days. I like that shelf. It is my nemesis. :(

Same problem here. DH birthday. About to light the candles on the cake. I don't even like cake very much and I hate fondant icing. But I want some of that cake. I will have yoghurt or something instead.

Zonked at 5.30 and retreated to the sofa with a rug once the cats had vacated it

Dh wears lovely - hung out the washing and made supper for him and ds. He gave me a plate of coleslaw (which was all I wanted) and two glasses of wine

I'm not too bothered about the Wine - all I've had today is 1/3 of a 5 egg omelette (with butter and cream), one of my herb teas with a teaspoon of coconut oil, pumpkin soup with crispy bacon and drizzled with olive oil, one square of dark chocolate, 2 Brazil nuts and a few pecan nuts - plus the supper of coleslaw and wine Grin

Just remember how awful it will taste everyone! Overly sweet and lacking in flavour.

I think it's the dark nights stuffing up everyone's mood and giving us carb cravings.

Today' I have been rubbish at eating my veg. I took the kids out on a (freezing) picnic at the park, based on anything we could get in packets at Aldi. Not very nutritious for them or me!

B: MIM made with flax/chia seed - half spread with butter and the other half with peanut butter.
L: ham, 20g bar dark chocolate, olives.
D: slowed cooked pork shoulder in cajun spices, baby sweetcorn, a couple of tbs tomato sauce, roast aubergine and peppers.

Got my four lb off!!! I'm so happy!! Since Monday, back to two lb to go to the target!!!

I can certainly recommend no dairy if anyone is struggling to lose weight. Yes, it's tougher and takes a bit more planning but so far I've lost nearly 3lbs since Monday. I am now 1.8lbs away from the mini target I set myself for next weekend and actually feel like I might achieve it Grin

B: eggs and butter
L: Cajun chicken guacamole
D: donner kebab, homemade mayo, salad, olive oil

(Bing Bong) good morning all

lot better this morning after a couple of boiled eggs and a coffee. need to sort out a better regime for eating after a long run and not just over eat. (did a 2hr yesterday...fasted Grin)

Finding it allot harder to get the water down now its getting cold but I can't see any problem with drinking it slightly tepid ?

pisses I have boiling water cooled slightly (like a cup of tea but without the tea bag and milk) if I want a hot drink. Or herbal tea.

Crap day yesterday, won't go into details but there was a buffet involved, it wasn't a disaster and my portion was very limited but feeling a bit pissed off at myself - mostly because I did it mindlessly.

Still, onwards and downwards! Scales are still showing the same as Monday, which isn't too bad.

And I've bought a Yankee candle advent calendar - no chocolate for me!

Ha ha BIWI, laughing here. You are indeed the Supreme Low Carb Empress of the Universe Grin

Clash where did you get your advent calendar? Sounds lovely. I was just going to do without this year so that might be a nice idea.

Hi,

Firstly, can I join at this stage ?
Also I have a few questions if that's o.k - I've been low carbing since Monday and have weighed myself today. I haven't lost anything, is this usual ? On wednesday I had some pumpkin soup ( friend was getting offended at my refusal of hot dog rolls, her baking, marshmallows ... )but I think she may have also put potato in it. Would that be enough to mess things up ?

Thanks

Thanks for all the herbal tea suggestions. I have written them down and will give them a go.

I'm like a lot of you, struggling with feeling tired and hungry. I know its not proper hunger because I only want naughty stuff!

Pisses I often have a cup of hot water with a slice of lemon. Its quite comforting in cold weather and it still tastes ok if you forget it and it goes cold. Grin

Hi all. I have been walking for a couple of hours the last few mornings and i'm finding myself starving and unsatisfied in the afternoon (my traditional tea and biscuit time) for some reason. I don't really know what i can snack on to make me feel full/satisfied tho. All suggestions welcome :)

Yesterday
b- yog & berries
l - 3 egg omelette with spinach, mushrooms and cheese
s - left over celeriac dauphinoise
d - chicken thai curry with cauli rice

readyforno2 · 07/11/2014 16:05

I always have a bit of a lull in the afternoons and the evenings, I've been drinking a cup of decaf tea with cream and it really does satisfy me and feels as though it fills me up.

Food today (cause I haven't done this for ages)
B - scrambled eggs with a dash of cream and Boursin
L - venison sausages, mushrooms
D - gonna treat myself tonight and have butternut squash chips. They are my new favourite comfort food, delicious with garlic salt and mayo, although they are slightly higher in carbs than I would like.
S- tea with cream x2

Am getting better with water again. On my 7th pint so far.

prettybird · 07/11/2014 17:58

I'm getting better too! Smile

Finding I'm needing wanting to snack less often.

Ate out at a great Italian for lunch: dh had one of their fabulous pizzas and I chose bresaola with rocket and Parmesan. Smile He had a Moretti beer and I had water

Aggghhhh, cheese got me! Two chunks somehow disappeared while I was cooking DS's tea. Was lovely though I have to say, and hopefully won't derail me too much.

Just made some more mayo - if anyone doesn't know there are recipes for doing it in 30 secs and it's so much nicer than shop bought...as well as pretty much carb free and high fat.

readyforno2 · 07/11/2014 18:28

30 seconds?! Where? I've never tried to make it. Maybe I should

I made my own up - one whole egg, bit of mustard powder and cayenne, juice of half a lemon, cap of white wine vinegar and a cup of oil (I used an American measuring cup). Put it all in a tall narrow pot (I used the one that came with my stick blender) then put stick blender at the bottom, turn it on and whizz for about 15 secs before moving up the pot. You should have thick lovely mayo in no time at all.

I think the trick is the shape of the pot. But it certainly beats hours facing with a dribble of oil doing it the traditional way.

I've just put garlic and dried chilli in mine for a bit of alioli.
