Evening all.

I'm starting this thread earlier than usual because I have to be up and out of the house by 7.30 tomorrow.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness as usual

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

I hope the God of Wooshes is looking favourably on you all!

From tomorrow I have 19 days until I fly off to Somewhere Hot, so I will be super vigilant and fighting off those pesky carbs with much vim and vigour.

1lb off for me, since my midweek weigh last week! Happy with that, especially as i had a tiny tiny slice of cheesecake (well, cheese is okay? Grin ) after being so good with the actual lunch at my mums. With them going mmmmmmmm, these potatoes are amazing for almost the entire meal Hmm and ate out (though stayed LC) twice last week Blush

Booked Caribbean holiday for spring 2016 this weekend, so wont be eating out for a while as we need to get it paid for!

The scales have done weird and wonderful things today (uneven floor and crap scales) but taken an average reading and it's a 2lb loss for me. Super pleased! 18lb lost so far, which means I am over half way to my dream-goal weight (I would have been superhappy with 14lb total loss at the start, never mind 35lbs). Not that there's realistically time to get another 17lb off...but hopefully make a good dent in it and carry on after - so allowing for Xmas twattery I could be at a weight I haven't been for 7 years, in January!!
Sorry, ignore my weight-Maths ramblery, it's what I do to keep myself motivated. But usually only in my mind, rather than on a public forum.
Back to exercise after a 3 wk lay off too. (DLA form, then illness then recovery/half term)
Haven't been posting up food as bit chaotic at home lately and a bit of Halloween twattery slip ups occurred. (but nothing too drastic).
Well done everyone, for losses and for keeping on track in the face of disappointments.

Hi All - well done on all the losses. :)

I've been LC/BC since 21st Oct and my measurements were: waist 35" hips 43" and thighs 26". Now i am w- 34", h-43" and T - 25.5". So going in the right direction.

Yesterday i had:
b- 2 eggs, 2 bacon, mushrooms and tomato
s - avocado
l - ham, salami, cheddar with 4 gherkins, watercress, cucumber and mayonnaise
s - small bowl of cauli and pumpkin soup
d - chicken thighs cooked with mushrooms and lardons with broccoli and runner beans and parsley butter

Today i have my first eating out challenge. HERE is the menu, if anyone wants to help me decide the best options. From what i can see i think the starters are best and i may go for 2 of them and olives. Or the mezze sharer and just not eat the pitta or houmous? hhmmmm not sure.

Morning all, haven't been in here much and Ive stayed the same but Im happy with that. Super pleased because at my 5k parkrun on sat I finished 31.40 - 3 mins quicker than previously so hoping to keep improving.

Have a great week all.

Morning all.
I've weighed in this morning and I'm up 0.7lb on last week.

However, I was out for dinner on Friday evening and I may have consumed over half a bottle of Prosecco and some Potato non-celeriac Dauphinoise.

By the middle of last week I was down by just over 1lb on last week's weigh-in so I know it will come off again.

Can I say a huge thank you to whoever it was that recommended the Libra weight trcaking app for Android. It's a fabulous tool and it has kept me positive with the daily weight fluctuations.

So finally, after that mini essay, can I just say thanks to everyone that posts and especially to BiWi, StuntNun and SayraT for all their hard work and input. I am loving this WOE and feel so much better for it.

Have a great Week 6 all.

MrsK I'd say from the starters the mussels but no bread or the carbier option of beetroot, butternut squash and goats cheese. Then for main you might just have to ask for no something.

Seabream - no filo
Sausages - no mash (sausages may be carby though)
Chicken - no potoatoes
Steak - no chips
Burger - no bun/chips

You could ask for the side salad instead, if others are having a dessert and you fancy something coffee with cream is what I sometimes have.

We have almost identical measurements!

MrsKoala · 03/11/2014 12:34

Oh i thought the terrine would have been best as the starter, or the mussels.

Would the 'grilled kofte kebabs, halloumi and tzatziki (and leave the pitta and houmous)' not be best main? I'd like the steak and have no chips but get a side of veg but it's going to be too expensive really (£22 for a midweek pub dinner! Shock )

Going to have a spinach omelette for lunch and some cauli and pumpkin soup before i leave, so i don't feel too hungry.

That's funny about the measurements - what measurements would you like them to be? My best ones would be w-28/29, h-39, t- 22. i'm 5ft 10"

SayraT · 03/11/2014 12:53

Oh, sorry I must have missed those!

Yes, I think those would be quite good.

I have no idea what measurements I'd like, I've always been fat so can't imagine having any other measurements Grin I'm 5ft 7...do you mind me asking what you weigh (if you know) just out of interest, I often find that people are surprised horrified when I tell them what I weigh.

It comes up sometimes when someone says "do you want to ride my horse/pony" and I say "no, I'm too heavy" "you're not" they say then I ask what is the maximum weight they'd have on the horse and then they are embarrassed when I say that I am 1-2 stone heavier than that!!

Report
MrsHerculePoirot · 03/11/2014 13:30

MrsK I would go beetroot, mussels or terrine to start (that order is just my personal preference taste wise!!!), for the mains maybe sea bream and leave as much filo as poss, chicken and leave the potatoes, or steak and ask for the chips to be replaced by veg or salad (I have never had anywhere find this a problem), or a burger and ask for the chips to be replaced with veg and just leave the bun, or what you suggested with the platter and leaving the pitta.

Mo well done, I know you were frustrated last week!

Well done all the other losers, I haven't yet weighed, babyHP was up about a million times last night and I was too tired to remember this morning - will try to rememebr tomorrow!!!! It probably was a blessing in disguise after half term tbh...

Ah yes 'weight'. This is why i ignore mine and go on measurements. I weigh loads , even at my slimmest, when people were getting concerned for my health and you could see bones, i was a size 10-12 (i could never be slimmer than that as i have a big frame - broad shoulders and ribs, big hands and feet etc) i was 11.8st. I was 10st at 12years old and was a rake! 11st 7 at 16 and did a little catwalk modelling.

Doctors always re-check their scales and splutter 'that can't be right'. I am often told i am fine and healthy/athletic/slim and then get weighed and get told i am obese Confused

At the moment i am about 13st-13st 8lb (haven't got scales to hand). But at my 'slim' measurements i posted i am about 11.10 - 12st. My usual weight however, when i just eat 'normally' is 12st 8in and my measurements are w - 31, h- 41 and t- 23/4. My bust is always 41" but i am flat chested and it's all back/ribs (at the moment it's more as i'm bfing).

My dad has a bizarre 'rule' that no woman should be over 10st. He sees sometimes me and says i look thin/too skinny/great/slim etc then i say i weigh 12st and he says 'oh you fat cow - you need to lose 2 stone' Confused err yeah, i could chop off my leg i suppose you berk

Another 2lb off! Smile I've now broken through the 11stone barrier and am now 10stone something 12lb. One more pound and I'll have lost a stone since we started this Boot Camp Grin. Only a few more pounds until I hit my intermediate target of "weight in 3 digits" which I'd vowed last time I would never again leave Blush

And only 6 more pounds until I reach my pre-Christmas target. Smile

I think what has been the key this time has been being really good about drinking loads of water and also cutting back on the cheese which I could nibble inordinate amounts of . As time goes on, I experience fewer and fewer urges to snack - even of Boot Camp permitted foods.

Is there an emoticon for blowing a raspberry? STS. Ah well, it could have been worse! I was worried about a half-term week at home with 3dc, at least it did not derail me completely.

Back to strict BC (once I've finished the litre of double cream and creme fraiche in the fridge).

Congrats to losers Grin

sayra one of my prime motivations in losing weight is so I can get back on my horse again! I backed him last year just before getting pg and cannot justify my current bulk on his young joints! Only got 3lb to go now til I'm technically at the weight he can carry but in reality would like to get a further 14lbs off to give him an even better chance of surviving to old age intact! Grin.
Like you, I weigh a lot more than people think...and am surrounded by lightweight horsey friends...sigh...never mind, onwards and downwards!!

Thanks everyone Grin

Some interesting motivational techniques being mentioned. Thought I'd start a list for people to add to in case it helps. Mine is that I'm only buying clothes from charity shops until I reach target, which has the benefit of allowing me to adjust my wardrobe cheaply as my shape changes (very slowly), while still offering a reward at the end.

Bootcamp Motivators:

1: book a holiday (Copacabana pref)
2: boudoir shots
3: recite dream measurements
4: sign up for sporting event
5: charity shop wardrobe upgrade

Charity shop wardrobe upgrade - replacing too big/worn out of stuff with only bargins from charity shops. No new stuff until reached goal weight, if my understanding is correct MrsK

My motivator is that for every pound I lose I put a £5 note in a jar for a local food bank. When I reach my target I will donate that money. It makes me feel good to be being good IYSWIM. So if I'm struggling I do two things: I look at my graph and I look at the jar.
