Morning all. I'm not liking this Autumnal stuff at all!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your first official weigh in

And don't forget there's also the Weight Tracker if you want to keep it private.

You can, obviously use both Grin

If you're looking for inspiration in the kitchen, have a browse of the Recipe Thread and feel free to add any of your own ideas.

I hope that you're all through the other side of carb flu, if you suffered from it, and wish you all a very good second week.

Googoo - when you say minimum of 3, please don't tell me you're not even drinking 3 pints! Your minimum a day is 2 litres, but more if you have more weight to lose

Thanks BIBI for that link - very helpful article.

Can I ask please about the link between low sodium and thirst? I think it must apply to me as I am definitely drinking more than I was without trying. It seems so counter-intuitive - I'm used to thinking that lots of salt = thirst. Does anyone know how the low sodium/increased thirst thing happens?

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 07/10/2014 15:45

Feeling stupidly picky today. Not sure if it the weather, boredom, habit or genuinely more hungry today perhaps as a result of not feeling hungry yesterday Picked on bits of cheese and yoghurt. Hoping this is just a phase and will settle down after a good nights sleep.

food wise:
b: 2 eggs scrambled + 2 pieces of bacon
S: dolap of yoghurt
l: broccoli with a bit of cheese melted on top
s: dolop of yoghurt and chunk of cheese
t: will be veg and home made meat balls.

water is not doing badly 2 ltrs down and plenty of time to get the last one drunk.

FolknNorah · 07/10/2014 16:23

bitchy me too and I didn't eat as much yesterday either. This reminds me of when I was younger (and slim). I'd eat more one day, not so much the next. So fingers crossed Grin

B BPC
Brunch roasted cauli and two pork belly strips
Lunch the same as brunch
T/supper green salad leaves, eggs and mozerella.

gointothewoods · 07/10/2014 18:49

Just a quick check in to shout my shit.
Not madly hungry today.
B: Coffee + 2 boiled eggs mashed with a tablespoon of tuna, spring onion and mayo. Couldn't finish, was far too rich. Felt sick for most of the morning! Not sure I can stomach mayo at 8am.
L: Chicken legs, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, homemade coleslaw
D: Meatballs, homemade coleslaw, 1 LC turkey sausage (new purchase so tasting to see if nice - not too bad)
S: pepperami
Have had 4 pints of water so ideally 2 more before bed.
Catch y'all tomorrow.

Tanukisan · 07/10/2014 19:00

Hello everyone, I'm very pleased to say that I have lost 5lbs in the first week. I understand this is largely water weight, but I'm so pleased with the change of appearance in my stomach. It's noticeably shrunk.

Not having a great day today after a severe migraine in the early hours of the morning, which cleared up around lunch time. It did mean no breakfast.

B: none
L: steak with mushrooms in cream sauce
D: peppered mackerel with creamed kale, green beans and broccoli

No snacks as I've been feeling nauseous for most of the day. Drinks are still bad (not enough water, and still haven't kicked the diet drink habit) but making progress. I had a coffee with double cream, still can't stomach the BPC.

Does your tolerance for fats increase?

Notsoskinnyminny · 07/10/2014 19:30

Interesting article BIWI, I'm definitely overdoing the protein and I thought I was being good having 100ish grams for lunch and dinner, and more at the weekend when we have a fry up so now a bit Confused

Off to see Wicked tomorrow, I haggled for a good deal for school and the subject leader said she'd fix it for me to go so I've been busy preparing something I can eat with my fingers because I'll have to eat at my desk before we go so I've made crabby's chorizo flan and its delish even if I did burn my lip eating a bit from the dish and a pork shoulder in coconut milk concoction that I found in the main recipe section is all ready to be slow cookered tomorrow so it'll be ready when I get home, if its any good I'll post the recipe. Now I need to restore order to the kitchen Grin

Hope you feel better soon Tanukisan the only thing that works for migraines for me is sleep.

Hobbes8 · 07/10/2014 19:33

Not a bad couple of days food wise, but I'm still not drinking enough water so I need to work on that.

My husband wandered in earlier chugging from a coke bottle and shovelling jelly beans in his mouth and announced he'd lost 5 lb. grrr!

SayraT · 07/10/2014 19:35

Ended up with a not so LC lunch today (I really need to stop making excuses, I always seem to have some reason why I wasn't LC Hmm) as I ended up in work when I wasn't expecting it.

B: Coffee with cream, three pork sausages
L: Baked potato with butter and cheese
S: Cucumber and pepper sticks with mayo, two boiled eggs
D: Garlic chicken thighs, asparagus in butter with chopped bacon

Tomorrow I am off somewhere to do a presentation for work and lunch is being povided. I am guessing it will be sandwiches but I will try and spend most of lunch talking rather than eating and I will take some boiled eggs in the car.

Tanukisan yes I think it does, I used to hate butter but now I sometimes eat a bit of butter by itself Grin. I can't eat coconut oil though but I do like BPC. I didn't when I started LCing.

yongnian · 07/10/2014 20:06

Here's me...
B: boiled egg, mashed wit butter, cream, salt n pepper
L: creamy leek soup (made with chicken stock)
D: butchers beef burgers with cheese, courgettes, green beans, cucumber and mayo mixed with whole grain mustard
S: corn thin and loads of butter, olives
W: 2.5 litres so far, more to go
E: post natal work (hard level)
Went food shopping and stocked up - another great benefit is that it's loads cheaper to eat this way too!
Trousers are looser, face lost its puffy bloated look, look younger!! Happy dance, happy dance!! More energy too. Yay! This WOE really suits me and I will be sticking with it beyond BC.

readyforno2 · 07/10/2014 20:20

I STS this week Confused. I guess it's better than putting on.
Food today
B - mushrooms fried in butter
L - broccoli soup, ham omelette
D - small gammon steak, creamy leeks and mashed cauliflower

No snacks
At least 9 pints of water
1 coffee with cream and 2 x tea with cream

Maybe I need to cut out the coffee/teas?

MoJangled · 08/10/2014 01:24

Only lost a kg - but then I've been low carbing for a while, although I think all I've done is get back on track after a wobbly pre-BootCamp weekend. Was really hoping to crack the 70kg floor this week, but looks like I've got another week of seeing a '7' on my metric scales before getting into my spiritual home of the 60s...

B: 2 eggs 2 streaky bacon
L: avocado, 2 eggs, olives
T: veg and chicken stir-fry
S: slice of cheese, coffee with cream x 2
W: around 2 litres, not enough
E: 30 mins brisk walking

googoogoggles · 08/10/2014 06:26

(Got my pints and litres muddled up for a moment back there.... Blush)

ChesterDrawers · 08/10/2014 06:55

Morning losers,

Another full night's sleep here. Don't know what's going on with DS but I LOVE it!

Plan is:
B: yog, cream cinnamon
L: ham, mushroom, spinach omelette
D: spagless Bol, courgetti, cheese

Still relying too much on dairy. It's so lovely tho and perks up any meal. Will try to do without tomorrow.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/10/2014 06:59

Pisses - how fabulous are you? 25% Wooohooooooo, tis amazing!

Just keeping on, keeping on here. Nothing more, nothing less.

Have a good day Losers Brew

BIWI · 08/10/2014 07:44

Woo hoo! A pound and a half off overnight for me! Means that the damage from last weekend was very much kept to a minimum and I'm back on the downward slope.

My immediate goal is to see the scales start with a '9' again, rather than a '10'. I'm cross with myself for the last few months, as I vowed I'd never go into the 10s again. But that's an important lesson - even if you supposedly know what you should be doing, doesn't stop the weight going back on if you're not vigilant.

ChesterDrawers · 08/10/2014 08:16

Well done BIWI, love that you are only human too (hope that doesn't sound patronising, not meant to be).

I can't wait to see a 10 on the scales, hopefully next week, and think I will need peeling off the ceiling if I ever see a 9 again. It's been a bloody long time!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/10/2014 08:16

I think that's why I'm best when I weigh every day, keeps me focussed, although I know it's not for everyone.

But yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for downward slopes. As my name would indicate Grin

SixImpossible · 08/10/2014 08:30

OMG I luuuuuurve crème fraiche!

Just thought I'd mention it Grin

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 08/10/2014 09:15

I had forgotten how tired this woe of eating makes me. Fell asleep half way through a program last night and wokeup to the delights of milkshade children cartoons. Most perplexed ds when he came in this morning. He hasn't watched programs like that in years. Hopefully I might even get my sleep pattern back into lets be honest it would nice just to have a sleep pattern

aNoteToFollowSo · 08/10/2014 09:40

Morning, morning all. Scales were ever so slightly down here too which is hugely motivating. Mojangled love 'the spiritual home' of the 60's. Me too: - I am also weighing in kilo's and have just crested 69. I hope I am saying goodbye to these figures forever. Though BIBI I heed your warning. Sigh. There really is no forever fix, is there.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs cooked in cream and butter with leeks, mushrooms, cheese. I think I might have at last found the limits of my high-fat tolerance. Even for me, who has been seen scoffing heavy cream on a teaspoon, that was all just a bit too much butterfat. Though Six, I am with you: creme fraiche is the food of the gods.

Good luck to us all today Campers.

FolknNorah · 08/10/2014 09:44

Morning all!

I've got a sore throat today, is lemon and ginger tea (unsweetened) ok?
I haven't lost any weight yet, but it is the week before my TOTM so I'm just happy not to have gained any Grin.
But saying that, my stomach looks and feels a bit flatter anyway, so not too bad!

BIWI · 08/10/2014 11:20

Oh Chester, I am very definitely human Grin

OP posts:
Figrus · 08/10/2014 17:13

Is it possible to develop carb flu on day 10? I feel sluggish and achey and tireed. I was fine previously (apart from being grumpy) . Either it is carb flu or a bug that is going around my kids.

BIWI · 08/10/2014 17:21

By now you should be through the carb flu, so it's more likely some kind of bug - sorry!

But - one thing to consider, if you've been drinking lots of water, it could be that you need to look at your electrolyte balance. Sodium in particular is something that you will need - so add salt to your food, add it when you're cooking, and consider having a hot drink made from a stock cube/Marmite/Bovril. If it is to do with low carbing, that should perk you up pretty quickly
