Morning all. I'm not liking this Autumnal stuff at all!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your first official weigh in

And don't forget there's also the Weight Tracker if you want to keep it private.

You can, obviously use both Grin

If you're looking for inspiration in the kitchen, have a browse of the Recipe Thread and feel free to add any of your own ideas.

I hope that you're all through the other side of carb flu, if you suffered from it, and wish you all a very good second week.

I STS but I'm OK with it as I'm regular low carb so no water weight to lose. I'm lower than I've been in ages having lost a bit in the run up to BC. Been upping the weights and the scales are showing my body fat is down and skeletal muscle is up so I reckon its all paying off. BC is keeping me positive so I've been more conscientious about eating and haven't skipped any exercise sessions. Grin

Regarding the TrueWeight app, I think it only works on I-Phones but you can get Libra if you're on Android. That keeps me sane as it also uses a trend line that levels out the bumps.Smile Both worth looking at if you like to weigh daily and don't want to get despondent (or over excited!)

SixImpossible · 06/10/2014 15:16

BIWI, what's the BC view on sugar-free chewing gum?

Generally I avoid artificial sweeteners, but SF gum is good for oral health, especially if you can't brush after eating. TBH I loathe the stuff.

kukesi · 06/10/2014 16:30

Thanks BIWI feeling embarrassed I wrote about crying now... If only this site let you edit posts.

Anyway thank you very much for going through my post. I did not realise I had to drink so much, my eyes did a cartoon pop out of my head. I'm onto that now.

This is going into my 12th week now, I have now just plotted my losses on a chart, thanks to CQ and stunt.
Not on any meds.

Will increase my water, and makes sure Im eating enough fat etc and carry on, thanks again.

Oh and BIWI forgot to say thanks for the link, will explore this evening.

RoaringForties · 06/10/2014 16:39

Afternoon Bootcampers, great to see the lbs on the move or about to move.

I've lost a whole whooping 5.6 lbsGrin

Not lost so much so quickly on any previous BC. During the summer BC I shed weight very slowly and don't think I am doing anything particularly different this time. It just highlights how complex our bodies are and that Lidls bakery has a lot to answer for - They must miss me!

kukesi you've been doing really well, I'll join you in slooshing more water.

kukesi · 06/10/2014 17:49

Well done roaring, thanks and I am definitely sloshing myself right now! Grin

Notsoskinnyminny · 06/10/2014 18:05

Well done everyone, some fantastic losses. 4.5lb off for me but I'm a bit disappointed because it was 6.5 on Saturday and 5.5 on Sunday. I know I didn't drink enough water yesterday because I took Divadog to her friend's birthday meet-up, we went for a 3hr walk and I knew there'd be no loos and I'm miffed because I haven't cheated once all week and didn't even have a sip of wine when twatfaceDH kept shoving his glass under my nose Angry

aNoteToFollowSo · 06/10/2014 18:48

Hello - quick check-in to say not a bad start to my 2nd week.

B: boiled eggs+ olives
L: greek yoghurt + left over beef
S: chicken salad with avo and feta and lime/olive oil dressing

S: erm, more olives plus rather a lot of greek yoghurt. Think I may have to cut back on that.

W: 2 litres, off to join the sloshing brigade with another glass or two

Skinny I can understand it's frustrating to see weight go on but an overall loss of 4.5lb in a week is great. Keep it up

ClashCityRocker · 06/10/2014 19:24

Done really well on the water today - drunk 3.5l - but my mouth seems to be feeling dry very quickly.

It's a definite boost seeing the lbs coming off - I feel lighter too! Probably all psychological though...

Well today:
B: Greek yog
L: Tuna with Mayo and salad.
T: some class of chicken or fish with brocoli and whatever other veg (low carb!) I can find

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/10/2014 19:35

Made some curried cauliflower soup. Tis a triumph. Well I think so but then I'm easily pleased Grin

scousadelic · 06/10/2014 19:56

I'm 7lb down which is great stuff but can't get the spreadsheet to respond again, don't know why. Could someone please put it in for me?

I am starting from 100 and counting down rather than my real weight so, if I ever come up as biggest percentage loser, please strike me off and award it to someone else

B - lonely leftover sausage, bacon, scrambled egg
L - None as caught up with work
Snack about 4.30pm - chicken pieces
T - Swede and squash mash, leftover curry and broccoli. Odd mix but it was warm and tasty

BIWI · 06/10/2014 20:08

Didn't burn down the kitchen? Definitely a triumph!

Scouse - that's brilliant! Well done Flowers

OP posts:
SayraT · 06/10/2014 20:19

Someone has done it scouse I went on to do it and it was already done...are you sure you didn't manage it?

Much better foodwise today.

B: Two hardboiled eggs, coffee with cream
L: Cucumber, pepper with mayo as a dip, some cheddar cheese
D: Roast chicken thighs with garlic, salt and pepper

Jocastafantastica · 06/10/2014 20:31

4lbs off very happy with that as this weekend went a bit haywire alcohol-wise. Back on it now, feeling very inspired by all the losses.

Had chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce for tea with broccoli italiano it was yum Smile

yongnian · 06/10/2014 20:34

Here's my eats today
B: ff yog dbl cream cinnamon and peanut butter
L: chorizo raw spinach and carrot salad with oil dressing. Guacamole and Boursin.
D: 3 egg deluxe omelette with dbl cream, butter and Parmesan. Salad of spinach and tomatoes with a virgin olive, red wine vinegar, garlic dressing and toasted pine nuts.
W: 3 litres and still going
S: one corn thin with lots of butter (bit carby I know but need to go shopping again tomorrow - still major improvement on my usual!!)
E: post natal work out
Feeling strong! Loving the food!!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 06/10/2014 20:46

Better day today mostly

BIWI what is the official line on the 3 meals if you are genuinely not hungry? I have only had two meals and a snack today as just couldn't face a meal and not hungry. Had a huge late lunch salad.

Food:
Breakfast - 2eggs scrambled + 1 piece bacon
Lunch - salad with egg mayo
snack - small bit of cheese and a few slices of ham.

It is a bit heavy on the processed food side of things so am going to try to address that tomo. Doing fine water wise and the coffee situation has been resolved.

gointothewoods · 06/10/2014 20:54

Good day today. Day off work. Went shopping, had lunch, saw a film.
b: yogurt with cinnamon. coffee
l: chicken and bacon salad with pinenuts, lettuce and olive oil. coffee
d: steak, asparagus and an awful attempt at roasted fennel that went in the bin. tiny bit of Blue cheese on top of steak.
About 6 pints water.

TheNutmegofconsolation · 06/10/2014 21:05

5lb loss for me! Very pleased with such a good start.
Not putting my weight on the spreadsheet though! Blush

B - boiled egg
L - tin of mackerel salad, mayo
D - pork chop, fried courgettes, creamed spinach

Water 2.5 litres

BestIsWest · 06/10/2014 21:22

3.5 off for me. Very pleased. As I,ve said before, I lost nothing, nada, in the first two weeks of the May BOotcamp so I am delighted to lose anything at all this week.

FolknNorah · 06/10/2014 21:24

Hellooo!
Good weekend food wise, I don't really drink so not an issue for me!
Feeling good and am flatter of stomach so excellent, although it is blob week this week....
B BPC, mozerella and Parma ham
D oops but not hungry so not too upset.
T two pork belly strips, courgette chips and buttery mushrooms.
All my water (3)

BIWI · 06/10/2014 21:28

Bitchy, if you're not hungry then not eating is fine - but please keep an eye on this - it's better to eat a small amount, as you did, than nothing - it helps to keep your blood sugar on an even keel.

OP posts:
non126 · 06/10/2014 22:17

Some great losses this week. 2.6lbs off for me which isn't massive but I'm delighted as I've managed to gain 2 stone since beginning of this year and I'm a serial dieter. I think I'm more tortoise than hare so preparing myself for smaller loss next week (altho I wold be chuffed with more).

I'm so pleased to have found this forum, its a great support - I try to keep up with all the thread even if I dont get chance to post often.

I definitely need to up the water.

Today
B 2 boiled eggs, butter
L Tuna mayo, little gem
D pork shoulder, buttered veg
S (altho I wasn't particularly hungry) 2 gouda slices

keep up the good work and here's hoping those who've STS break their stall Smile

readyforno2 · 06/10/2014 22:43

There are some brilliant losses here today! Well done everyone. I'm hoping for a wee loss too. Going to the trainer tomorrow night now so will weigh then.

B - portobello mushroom fried in butter
L - pea and ham soup (grabbed the wrong frozen soup cup out the freezer) petit pois so 5.5g per 100 so not too high but not great for bootcamp
D - salad with tuna mayo and some pate
S - mushrooms fried in butter

8 pints of water and 1 coffee w cream and 1 tea

Aerobics tonight but I was useless. Almost fell over about 6 times Confused

prettybird · 06/10/2014 23:03

Does anyone else find that as they get in to Low Carbing and drinking plenty of water, they actually find that they are often more thirsty than usual? Confused
