Well, finally, we reach the finish line! One more week to shout your shit.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And the Weight Tracker

Hope the results are positive for you today - and that the rest of this week gives you time to drop another pound or two.

Just a quick one - had my first official weigh in today and I've lost 4.5lb GrinGrinGrinGrin yippeeeeee!

captainmummy · 19/03/2014 08:24

Good news Keepon! Good luck. Smile
Pisci - the recipe thread here - dunno if the flaxseed recipe is on it tho. Maybe whoever invented it could put it there?

Well done felixfelix!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 19/03/2014 09:12

Well I think I paid for the jaffa cake incident with a hideous migraine, was in bed before 9.30am and still have a little bit of a headache. That'll teach me!

Adding my congratulations to Keepon, lovely news.

So, does anyone have any exciting ideas for breakfasts I can have at my desk? My usual yogurt is getting a bit dull and I think also not really filling me up enough. Before BC I always had porridge/Weetabix so am a bit stuck!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 19/03/2014 09:12

9.30pm even! Brain still a bit fried!

prettybird · 19/03/2014 09:15

Great piece on BBC Breakfast on high day low carb diet (only they kept on referring to it as simply high fat). Film to watch on line is called "Cereal Killers".

The film maker started following this WOE after his dad died of a heart attack despite eating a "good" diet. They also had the Australian cricket team doctor on the sofa - apparently the Australian cricket team are also following this WOE.

The UK doctor/advisor completely missed the point, saying that it was important to eat a Mediterranean diet, not increase fat but that it was important to reduce sugar intake Hmm. No shit. Grin

EvaTheOptimist · 19/03/2014 09:20

Trash I hope your throat turns out OK. Its stressful when docs just leave you to worry anxiously about what-ifs.

Well done Felix!

Heir could you bring in a box with a cold-snacks medley, eg cheese cubes, ham/salami, avocado, cucumber cubes, cherry tomatoes, olives?

trashcanjunkie · 19/03/2014 09:47

Thanks eva Grin having had a good look myself this morning, I've decided the doctors rubbish and I'm gonna get a second opinion before next week. I do have a bit of a sore throat but nowt to write home about, and I have a lot of scarring from a tonsillectomy so I think she's wrong. My snout is sore but I think it's a staph thing. Swabs done, and got a prescription for more cream, so will crack on with that.

Brilliant news felix

Heir could you stomach cold crustless quiche? I sometimes do bacon/mushroom/toms/cheese in four to six eggs (beaten) with a bit of cream and baked in a flan dish on gas 4 for about twenty mins/till it looks cooked. It's bloody delicious cold, and sliced up like pizza - one or two slices does me a breakfast. I'm, also a fan of cold sausage with egg mayo.

CrabbySpringyBottom · 19/03/2014 09:52

Keepon huge Congratulations! Flowers

*Whoosh I made your roundup twice! I am honoured! Grin

Great upholstery Trashy, I love the texture of the orange fabric.

Big well done and congrats to all those losing and sticking to the plan.

Flowers to everyone who's poorly and/or fed up.

My plan to eat low GI/GL quickly descended into a bit of a carbfest, as accurately predicted by plenty of you wise ones. Not helped by being psychotically premenstrual for the last few days and in the foulest of evilly foul moods. Yesterday I really noticed how much hungrier I was when eating carbs than when I'm low carbing. I was up early to madly clean house for science club so had breakfast (which I rarely fancy or need when LCing) of sourdough toast and hummus. Thought that would keep me going til lunchtime but was so ravenous that I crammed in a hot cross bun slathered in butter during the break. Hmm Blush Was absolutely ravenous again by lunch time (leftover stroganoff with a bit of rice) and then spent the rest of the afternoon wondering whether people were actually ever going to leave hankering after the last hot cross bun. Then to cap it all off I made spaghetti carbonara for dinner AND had two glasses of red when I'd promised myself I wasn't going to drink until Thursday.

I am a pathetically fucking weak excuse for a person, utterly lacking in willpower. Sad

MrsHerculePoirot · 19/03/2014 11:50

crabby you are NOT any of those things - wash your mouth out lovely lady!!! At least you know carbs beget carbs now for you and you can work around that. Out of interest why were you considering low GI/GL again - I can't remember the reasoning - maybe we can think of a different plan instead...

Thumbwitch · 19/03/2014 12:24

OK - starting with SMS - but not mine really, it's for all those of you who may still have niggling doubts about the amount of fat/saturated fat you're eating and your health. Read this! www.telegraph.co.uk/journalists/sarah-knapton/10703970/No-link-found-between-saturated-fat-and-heart-disease.html

Yay Monkey! That's great.

Keepon - congratulations, so pleased for you! I think you're right about not being in ketosis, but you should still be able to limit your carbs without causing any real problems. :) Apart from that, make sure you have lots of butter (it's GOOD FOR YOU! Grin) and stay as natural foodwise as you can, limit processed shit (and that includes Kentucky Fried rat chicken Wink) and you should be grand.

Trashy - good work on the cushions! They look great. :)

Whooshfucker - great news re interview, good luck with it! And LMD the same - good luck for yours next week :)

Crabby [slaps] - you are NOT any of those things you called yourself. Go back to the low-carbing, away from the low GI/GL stuff - my link at the beginning of this post should help you reconcile with the amount of fat intake.
Also, I've posted before about vitamin K2 (menaquinone) - it is the vitamin that makes sure that calcium in our bodies is put into our bones, and not into our blood vessels, and it is found in meat fat and dairy, and egg yolks. Calcium into our bones and not into our arteries = protective against both osteoporosis and heart disease in one hit - so you NEED vit K2, and therefore you NEED to eat fats. Ta-dah!

EvaTheOptimist · 19/03/2014 13:08

Crabby don't beat yourself up. Maybe at the least, make sure breakfast and maybe even lunch is low carb, then you have a chance of getting through much of the day without the carb cravings?

Heir I had another breakfast idea - a thermos flask of a low-carb soup?

I was completely ravenously hungry yesterday, no idea why... I filled the gaps with lots of cheese and nuts, probably not good for weight loss but basically kept low-carb.

BIWI · 19/03/2014 14:02

Crabby - don't be daft!

resists temptation to say 'told you so'

HeirToTheIronThrone · 19/03/2014 14:57

Ooh, Trashy the quiche thing sounds like a good idea - and could make a big one to last a few days too. Thank you!

prettybird · 19/03/2014 17:37

The BBC Breakfast "Cereal Killers" interview

The message is getting out there! :)

Notsoskinnyminny · 19/03/2014 18:04

Pisci the flaxseed pizza recipe is

100g flaxseed (aka linseed)
2 eggs
handful of grated cheese
salt & pepper
mix together and leave to stand for 5 mins

roll out (I couldn't get it as thin as I'd have liked as it kept sticking to the rolling pin)

bake at 200c for 15 mins

top with passata, cheese and whatever toppings you fancy and put back in the oven for another 10 mins.

Twas delicious but the edges reminded me of those horrible hi-bran crispbread things from SW so make sure you cover all of it.

Heir I do a big crustless quiche as well and its ideal for when I come in from work with the munchies or I take a couple of eggs and cheese and make scrambled eggs when I get there.

felix well done Grin

whoosh and LMD good luck for next week I hate interviews

Crabby you said you were going to experiment, it didn't work so forget about it and get back on the wagon cos we're all going to Trashy's for a sleepover Grin

LittleMissDisorganized · 19/03/2014 18:36

Aaargh now I've got an interview from the other job I applied for on the same day as my surgery next week Confused waiting to see if it can be rearranged.

And I've just eaten some cake mix. Feeling completely overwhelmed about stuff. Not that it's made me feel better, quite the opposite in fact. But it's my second emotional eat in the whole of bootcamp which for an obese emotional eater is not too bad, all things considered. Will probably skip tea and drink lots of water.

colette · 19/03/2014 19:03

Good luck with the interview LMD Brew

EvaTheOptimist · 19/03/2014 21:28

Please don't worry about the cake-mix LittleMiss just leap back on the wagon. But two interviews is undeniably stressful, my sympathies.

EvaTheOptimist · 19/03/2014 21:39

OK here goes. A "before" bootcamp picture. At LEAST 14 stone (stopped weighing because I didn't want to know.) Obese BMI. Size 18 trousers and size 22 top and as you can see, none of it fits well anyway, its all just an exercise in hiding!

Week 10 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the last week!
EvaTheOptimist · 19/03/2014 21:39

"After" BIWI's Way of Eating has worked its magic (picture taken today). 10 stone 10, size 14 trousers, size 18 top - though size 18's getting baggy now - down 2 back-sizes on my bra. Normal BMI. No more back-fat and I have a waist again. Thank you BIWI Thanks

Week 10 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the last week!
sybilfaulty · 19/03/2014 21:47

Wow, Eva, you look amazing! What a change! Is that just over this bootcamp? I am seriously impressed.

LMD, it's a bit of cake. Sometimes these things just happen. Drink some water and don't eat cake tomorrow Smile.

Am in bed. So tired again. Need to get some energy back

Piscivorus · 19/03/2014 21:51

LittleMiss Well done getting the interviews, that's an achievement in itself to get them. You don't do things by halves!

skinny Thanks for that recipe, I'll try that.

I'm knackered after work today so a quick shit shout out to you all and I'm off to chill out with a cup of tea Brew

EvaTheOptimist · 19/03/2014 22:14

No Sybil that's 3 bootcamps (and the weeks in between); I started last May. I'm a slow and steady loser, 1lb average a week for the last 10 months! I am determined not to put it back on again.

SayraT · 19/03/2014 22:17

Just a quick hello, I am shattered.

Had friends round last night did three hours of pole dance, then 1 hour of badminton today, mum here for dinner (converted her to cauli-rice Grin) and then 1 hour pole class tomorrow. Even though I am shattered I feel great Grin

B: Coffee with cream, egg in a cup
L: Salmon with pesto, broccoli and asparagus
D: Chicken curry with cauli-rice

New scales are definitely accurate as had a healthy heart thingy at work and we had a healthy eating section (I didn't pay any attention because we were told to eat low-fat everything, I questioned it and the dietitian said "Low-fat is good for your heart health and that is what we are talking about today, in other situations I would not suggest low-fat" so sounds like she wasn't too convinced with the message she was giving) where we got weighed. I weighed the same on the scales there as my scales at home.

Off to bed, S(More)S later

BIWI · 19/03/2014 22:19

Brilliant Eva! You did all the work, not me
Thanks
