I'm starting next week's thread a bit early as I have to be up and out of the house at sparrow's crack tomorrow.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the weight tracker

It may seem like we're nearly at the end, but still the chance to lose up to another half a stone, if you can lose 2lbs a week!

Hope everyone has a good week. Mine is a bit of a minefield - out tomorrow night to celebrate both of my DCs' birthdays, and then out on Thursday with some MNetter friends, and I don't think we will be drinking sparkling water!

Good luck everyone. Flowers

Eh. Managed to double post somehow.... Big pats on the back to whooshy and arsey Grin ooh, and pisco

I think I've been a maths twit Blush

I have got two sets of scales and neither have pounds, so I've been using an online converter. Last week I was 17st12lb (cue massive swearathon) but I recorded 244lbs. This week I am 17st9lb. That is a three pound loss if I'm not mistaken or deranged which is entirely possible or forgetting something?

Anyway, I'm not entirely dissatisfied with that, and I'm hearing you entirely whooshy with regard to snacks/dairy/caffiene. So much so I'm enjoying my first cup of tea in two bastard months Grin

thenightsky · 03/03/2014 10:06

Stayed the same :-(

Ambassadoryouarespoilingme · 03/03/2014 10:06

hi all
I've been reading the thread voraciously this week but not posting much. Big LC tea and cakes to all of you struggling or having rl crap to deal with. Crabby am sending you happy vibes for your reunion with the crablet.
Trashy i hope your boy is starting on the road to recovery.

I'm 2lbs up this week, which is annoying. I'm probably not being as super strict as I could / should be, but I am exercising loads for my triathlon training and I don't feel I'm eating loads. But I have let a bit of sugary shite creep in so this week I"m on a mission to cut that out and hope to cull those 2lbs by Friday. Saturday at the MILs is always an eating fest which is very hard to resist as the food keeps coming in droves all day. Even the tea time part of the day is freshly baked rolls which smell irresistible. Grrr.
Overall I'm 9lbs down which is not groundbreaking but it does show in the clothes.
I hope you all have a good week and I"m determined to cane another 7lbs by the end of bootcamp.

EvaTheOptimist · 03/03/2014 10:11

What a catch up, I feel like I've been "away" again (really busy Sunday, no time to MN (!!)). Thank you many of you for your sympathy on the public-speaking fail!

Notso OMG to the naked financial reason for okaying the houses on the green belt. Blood boiling. Just let me be Prime Minister (obvs won't be doing many speeches though!)

Crabby YAtotallyNBU my blood would have been boiling on the dangerous swimming/ insult out of nowhere on emotional security too. Aaagh. So good she's coming home.

Woolfey congratulations indeed on making it to normal BMI. That is such a milestone!

Nell and Monkey and others... I am 2lb up from my combination of totally-over-snacking and eating huge pastry. We haven't blown it. We just have to slightly concentrate on getting back on the wagon! And it will work. I am choosing not to go back to being 3 stone overweight, so I'm going back to the way of eating that I know works. I already managed to practice my good wagon-sitting by turning down cake at both meals with friends yesterday. One of them was home-made too. Someone upthread said "I want to keep the weight-loss more than I want the cake" that is it in a nutshell.

spookySwitched · 03/03/2014 11:11

HumphreyCobbler · 03/03/2014 11:45

Wow, target trousers well done Humphrey that's very dramatic and must be very pleasing.
And Woolfey, that is a huge milestone and reclaiming of yourself, well done.
trashcan you can edit the spreadsheet to read right for last week, but most importantly... you lost weight whilst going through hell with your son and mother. You kept on going - which goes to show what a massive commitment you've made to this!
BIWI your "minefield" is to us modelling a WOE that is for life and I for one find that really encouraging.

Dairy definitely makes no difference to weight loss for me - I'm a week with barely any - and no loss, and unsure re the health benefits to me of being without it. Will do another full week.

I'm going to step away from the scales this week - I was so worried about the biscuits I ate the Sunday of last week that I kept hopping on in the morning waiting anxiously for them to "land" yes I am completely mad and it did me no good. What a surprise it will be on Sunday this week Hmm hopefully a good surprise :)
I made my to-die-for flaxseed-cajun-chicken strips again yesterday. They bring out my overeating response... maybe because they seem breaded? Even with a pile of rocket and mayonnaise, the carb content was about 4g I think - so that's ok, but having a think about what triggers me to overeat.

Lighthousekeeping · 03/03/2014 13:29

Lost 4lb over two weeks. I'm shocked really after the Chinese Mishap and the wine the other night. Very happy.

Thumbwitch · 03/03/2014 13:32

Just marking place on new thread - SMS on the old one, and have to go to bed now - will do weigh-in in the morning (in the vain hope that I might have gone down a pound by then...)

Twit · 03/03/2014 14:39

Have gained so have lost 2lb since I began, having lost way over half a sodding stone at the beginning.
I don't know what to do, any ideas?
Sad

Lovecat · 03/03/2014 16:30

Hello all. Now the show has opened I'm hopefully going to have a bit more time to cook, prepare and plan and get back on the wagon.

After last week's D&V I wasn't expecting to do much, esp. as I've been eating on the run and carbs have crept in. Up 1.2lb, but that's back to how I was before I had the D&V so I'll take that and be glad it's not more.

Crabby, I bet you can't wait to see the mini crab! :o

Have had a sore throat all day and I'm convinced it's linked to eating carbs yesterday. I get a sort of sore pain up in the top back of my mouth, near the back of my nose, if that makes sense, and it feels burny. I noticed it last week when I succumbed to a dirty McD's, and although it went, it was back last night after another bloody lapse willpower and self-restraint of Zsa Zsa Gabor

Just been watching Countdown while waiting for DD's dance club to finish and Gloria Hunniford was on, raving about the benefits of Low-Carbing to Nick! She was looking really well, said she'd dropped 8lb through cutting out bread & pasta etc. It was nice to see her taken seriously too, no 'oh no, you're cutting out a food group' bollocks, just interest and 'oh, really? I must try it!' from Nick :)

sweetiepie1979 · 03/03/2014 16:50

Awh I'm knew and didn't know about change of thread I was wondering why items so quiet. We'll I'm here now I feel rubbish this is beginnings second week low carbing not lost anything yet. No cheating just too much veg maybe. Anyways I can't get any exercise my back is really sore bulging disc. Very naughty 2 year old and baby unhappy today too. This is when I need chocolate but my mother told me she was horrified that I weigh 11 stone and I feel hurt and Fed up weep sniff scream someone tell me Ivan do this and that I will see the benefits soon. On a happy note I'm not as hungry as I'd usually be nor am I craving choc.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 03/03/2014 17:07

STS this week, but not really surprised, there was a lot bit of gin on Saturday...

Compounded this by feeling obliged to have bread and butter pudding at a work lunch today. Ugh.

Water, water, water and leftover pulled pork for dinner. Tomorrow is a new day!

Humph I have a target dress, no such victories for me just yet! Well done on the trousers triumph!

sweetiepie1979 · 03/03/2014 17:40

I can't believe I used knew for New in previous post sorry, that's a disgrace I won't tell you what I do for a job! It's baby brain apologies

WhooshFuckerFairy · 03/03/2014 18:14

sweetie don't be so hard on yourself - no one minds a typo ..... This is the thread that renamed dauphinois ' dolphin pose '
... And tell yr mother to mind her own business - I weigh well over 11 stone - but my BMI is now 22 after today's long awaited whoosh ( 4 week wait !)

sweetiepie1979 · 03/03/2014 18:24

Ok whoosh thanks, my bmi is not 22 don't know what it is. I'm only 5.2 so very Michelin the over weight section I'm sure!

Looks like a lot of us have been sprinkled with fairy dust, after a small gain followed by a 3 week stall I've finally lost 2lbs so 6 in total since we started bc.

Like Whoosh I've realised I need to eat smaller portions and I've upped the water.

Crabby hope you're having a lovely time with little crab and remember the washing can wait til tomorrow.

EvaTheOptimist · 03/03/2014 19:02

Twit! I have no idea what's going on for you. I think you posted your meals last week and we all thought: yep, that sounds great.

I am stumped and mystified. I think you lost weight on a previous bootcamp, is that right? Is there any change in the way you're eating or drinking, between that time and this time? Is there likely to be any other health issues going on, eg thyroid?

We need the bespoke personal low-carb consultation service to be invented for such situations!

SayraT · 03/03/2014 19:48

Not had a very good weekend as I was staying at someone else's house so it was very very hard to eat LC. Luckily I seem to have STS this week so glad about that!

Back on the BC wagon for the final three weeks of bootcamp.

B: Babybel
L: Tuna mayonnaise and salad
D: Chicken liver with bacon and mushrooms in a creamy garlic sauce

Got some broccoli roasting in the oven to take tomorrow for lunch with something. Would take my chicken liver left-overs but I have a feeling my work colleagues will make "bleugh" faces!

EwanHoozami · 03/03/2014 19:59

shouting shit and marking place...

just wanted to record for posterity some good things wot I've cooked lately for me teatime:

  • sprout and swede bubble and squeak with sauerkraut and a fried egg (CHEAPO!)

  • hot and sour fish soup with shiritaki noodles

  • huervos rancheros (without the tortilla, obv)

  • crustless spanakopita (basically no-crust quiche with spinach, dill, feta and pine nuts)

  • spicy tuna burgers with baba ganoush

PS - sauerkraut is my new LC revelation. Wunderbar.

HumphreyCobbler · 03/03/2014 20:00

Twit, have you been poorly? Is there any reason why you may have started to retain water?

Whilst I have been wearing my target trousers today I have not reached the other part of my target, that is to get to the point where either of my boobs is smaller than my baby's head Grin. I am still carrying a lot round my middle too.

I will start shred again tomorrow.

Made a lovely egg flan with chorizo and roasted garlic and tomato. Also really enjoying eating the russian kale from the veg plot.
