kdk · 07/06/2010 22:07

Well, let's face it, for the DM it was always going to be a toss-up between blaming the wife (probably a cold-hearted bitch ....) or the scheming, gold-digging whore ...

ninah · 07/06/2010 22:09

you could NOT rip him off enough tbh
you would deserve serious compensation for entertaining a man like this

ninah · 07/06/2010 22:10

did it say why a taxi driver would need shotguns?

Remotew · 07/06/2010 22:14

I haven't heard what the excuse is for him owning shot guns, just that they were licenced.

Ninah which Maths paper did you do today. DD has done Maths GCSE today.

ninah · 07/06/2010 22:16

I did the higher paper non calculator
i found it OK though I did one question alright and then crossed it through and wrote random shite instead out of sheer fuckwittedness

Remotew · 07/06/2010 22:17

Forgot to answer about Salesman. He has gone quiet so doesn't look like any road trips on the cards. I did sleep in the spare room last time I stayed. TBH although we have a laugh I don't have any feelings for him at all so nothing lost, I'd kinda forgotton about him.

Remotew · 07/06/2010 22:19

Same one then. DD didn't do all the questions so I am a bit she seems to think it's normal to miss out a couple that baffled her. She said most of it was easy with a few killers thrown in. She crossed out a correct answer as well.

Janos · 07/06/2010 22:19

I did read back ninah.

That's not a good sign...is he teenager. I would not have dared behave like that, ever despite general teenage stroppiness. I agree that it's not a good sign.

"you would deserve serious compensation for entertaining a man like this "

Well, quite.

All these people saying what a nice bloke he was.... 'kin hell. I've read the news reports. Nice doesn't come into it.

Janos · 07/06/2010 22:20

Oh dear, I'm doing the tired and repeating thing. Time for bed I think!

Thanks all for welcoming me back .

ninah · 07/06/2010 22:25

haha at me taking same paper as your dd eve!
yes she is right you do not need to do it all! I left some out too
how it works, foundation level is easier questions but you need to get most right ie you should be looking at doing the whole thing - but max grade you can get is C
higher paper covers more syllabus and is meant to challenge so some questions are A or A*
to get a C you need to get 30.40ish not sure exactly and then it goes up
so you can pass by doing about half of it competently
If you get stumped it really is better to move on
wish her luck for Friday too! then we have to wait til end august grrr
janos yes he is 14 nearly 15 so I needed a check on what is 'ok' rudeness for this age! tbh most teenagers i've known have actually been polite though I am sure ds will change that in due course

Monty100 · 07/06/2010 22:31

Ninah - I'd have ds' head off if he treated someone like that.

Belle - how was Marine??
I bet he tries it on now that you're IN A RELATIONSHIP lol.

OP posts:
ninah · 07/06/2010 22:37

DID YOU HEAR THAT MONTY'S DS??! lol
no, you're right, so would I with my dc
yes, bet you are spot on with marine too
going to turn in too now, nn all x

Remotew · 07/06/2010 22:38

Yes good luck for Friday. I'll be glad when these few weeks are over DD still had 8 to go.

Full week at work for me so best go to bed. Night. Good to see you back Janos.

lou33 · 07/06/2010 23:32

'you and me babe how about it' - a line from the song romeo and juliet by dire straits

Monty100 · 07/06/2010 23:43

Lou - so it is. Great song too.

OP posts:
lou33 · 08/06/2010 09:07

one of my favourites

Monty100 · 08/06/2010 11:26

Lou - the best concert I have ever been to was Dire Straits (many moons ago).

OP posts:
ninah · 08/06/2010 12:57

oh i love that one too
not usually a straits fan, but there's somthing about the phrasing and the lyrics
off to cornbury in a few weeks haven't seen live music for years!
not that the line up rocks especially but summer term finishes so late it cancels out womad, larmer tree etc
bummer

lou33 · 08/06/2010 13:21

dp was meant to be going to the isle of wight festival from tomorrow, helping out on a food stall, but the guy who asked him seems to be full of shite because he hasnt got back to him

dp is gutted, booked time off work etc

looks like he is going to spend the time here instead, which of course is no bad thing, but it is a shame because he was really looking forward to it

Monty100 · 08/06/2010 13:32

Lou - he could always trim your bush . No seriously hope his friend gets back to him, that's a bummer.

Ninah - there's a pub near me with really good music on Friday nights but I'm always too knackered to go!

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 08/06/2010 13:51

afternoon all,

quick hi before i get back to studying before i need to collect ds.

waiting on a suit i've ordered from next for a job interview. my dream position for my qualifications. but the competition is unbelievable. but.. i've got this far.. tomorrow i have a morning of written assesments (to confirm the ones i did online were done by me iykwim).. and then face to face interviews.. notice the plural.. more than one face to face interview in the afternoon.

janos - did you reply to the gs blokey?

eve - who are you going to sign up to?

kdk - ... bisexual must have terrible eyesight too if he thinks he's anywhere near your league. cant blame him for trying.. but still

betty - at the "l" word.

ninah - are you on any sites at the moment

monty - ds still behaving today?

lou - what wll you do with dp now you have him to yourself with his hols already booked???

lou33 · 08/06/2010 14:32

I wont have him entirely to myself as dd2 is home schooled and dd1 is almost finished her a levels.

He wants to go to brooklands museum, which he has softened the blow about by offering to take the boys to school for me tomorrow, and to clear out my garage (i want to make it useable for the kids)

kdk · 08/06/2010 20:13

Hi juice - hope studying is going well. I've got my final teaching observation tomorrow - well, last pgce observation, not had an ofsted one yet but no doubt will get one of them in due course!

Have to say I agree with you re bi guy - wouldn't mind but I got a message from okc not so long ago saying - and this is the site not me - that I was in the top 50 percent of people rated attractive and would therefore be only getting to see equally attractive matches .... mmmm, think I may ask to be reclassified in that case Or maybe, their computer is trying to tell me something!

Janos · 08/06/2010 20:42

Evening everyone.

Lou - poor dp. Rotten flakey sod not getting back to him.

That line...I didn't think it was a song lyric..maybe should give him the benefit of the doubt?

I do like that one too but still...why would you send that as an opener? Hmmm.

Maybe I'm just over cautious at the moment after last couple of car crashes.

Juicy - have had several GS emails both of which replied to. One from a performance poet in Liverpool who seems kinds off the wall but nice, one from a bloke with a high level police job (pretty serious) who so far seems a lovely bloke and the one who called me 'babe' which made me go uuurgh but wondering if I may have judged a bit harshly there...

kdk - may try okcupid...is it free?

Janos · 08/06/2010 20:44

Oh, and not had the best day today.

Work colleagues all more annoying than usual, AND I got my mediation appointments nmixed up..thought it was tom, day booked off and everything. Uurrrgh. Oh well, can't be helped now.
