kdk · 02/07/2010 22:24

Lucky you Lou - don't get up to anything I wouldn't - which obviously gives you pretty free rein doesn't it?! Am off to bed now - sweet dreams everyone ...

lou33 · 02/07/2010 22:30

took the words out of my mouth kdk

sleep well

asbm, he doesnt do shifts he has the same hours , but he has been doing extra days on account of them being short of mechanics because of holidays and people leaving, and new ones needing babysitting etc

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/07/2010 22:38

yeah it's crap isn't it?
shifts mean that you have very little child free couple time...and as we know school time doesn't exactly count
how's dora btw?

Monty100 · 02/07/2010 22:41

Kdk - when's the dt's party?

Just watched the penalty shoot out Ghana v Uruguay. Was exciting.

Oh Gawd.

am imagining the pups lol
am still promising my lot a pup once we've moved
but secretly hoping that it'll be my dog
mont there's a few going atm on ebay but some dodgy sellers too,if wedding is in sept if i were you i'd bide my time for a week or so if the prices are getting silly

Monty100 · 02/07/2010 23:15

ASBM - there's a few on buy it now for high prices, the one where I made an offer, they had 3 available (?) and they still have 3 available. . I'm leaving that one, but the others are auction, I'll check out feedbacks and stuff if I'm bidding. It seems odd that they should have them at all deffo. I tried one some on in the shop and they are lush, a smokey grey one and the navy one.

I hanker after a doggie too . I adore them. We go two kittens/cats but not the same I'm afraid. DD swore she'd do all the work but nadda. We think the girl cat might be pg! Dp was in charge of all the vet stuff, so what happens? Nadda. So she had her first heat a few weeks ago and we think an old cat from across the road, that we call 'Limpy' (get the pic) has been up to no good with her. . I now call her 'Shaggy' lol.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/07/2010 23:37

omfg trust old limpy...obv not so limpy in that dept lol
reminds me of a jack russell who used to shag prowl the neighbourhood and even tried it on with a doberman

Remotew · 03/07/2010 14:13

It's a gorgeous day here. Still waiting for DD to get up then I can have some lunch. She enjoyed her time away hence very tired. She is seeing her date again but is a bit meh about it all.

Lou I didn't get much chance to look at the laptop last night so didn't see your IM, just in case you thought I was being rude.

FWB is over this way so am seeing him tonight. Not sure what we are doing but I'm hoping we can just call at the local for a drink and stop home. Quite looking forward to it .

aurorastargazer · 03/07/2010 16:46

hi everyone am place marking have good weekend

Remotew · 03/07/2010 17:29

Plans changed he's working late and I'm too tired to stay up late tonight. Looks like a quiet night in on my own .

elastamum · 03/07/2010 22:41

hi all, not been around for a bit so thought I'd drop by. Can I have you opinions on something?

Have just had a call from traveller who is back in the UK. Was supposed to be up his way tomorrow, not specifically seeing him though and he was calling to see if I was about, he had been back about home 4 hours! Has really cheered me up.

But the question is, do I invite him over next w/e as I am on my own and we did agree next time we met it would be down my way - we live a way apart. We have had loads of phone calls and 2 dates so far, but I am not sure how interested he is as we have never got further than a kiss on the cheek. So advice please ladies do I buck up my courage or go for it or not???? .

Remotew · 03/07/2010 22:51

Hi Elastamum, very quiet on here tonight.

I would suggest a date for next weekend. I can guess that it's a bit awkward as it's long distance and then the question of where does he stay comes up. I have had this quandary a few times. If you are comfortable with it then suggest he stays at yours. A whole weekend might be too much though. You will find out when you suggest it how interested he is.

elastamum · 04/07/2010 06:49

Thanks Eve,

Yes, I was thinking of asking him over to dinner, Dates so far have been very sober as we are both driving, but we always seem to have plenty to talk about. I would be haappy for him to stay, just not sure where we might end up

Janos · 04/07/2010 11:09

Elastamum, I agree with eve - suggest a date for next weekend. Would you feel comfortable having him stay at yours?

My date last was very enjoyable but again no spark.

He's attractive and was a lovely lovely bloke though, great company. He even paid for dinner (completely unasked and turned down my offer to go dutch) and drove me home afterwards so I'm sure he'll be snapped up fairly sharpish.

Janos · 04/07/2010 11:10

Eve - sorry your planned evening didn't work out. I've had that before and it's really disappointing!

Remotew · 04/07/2010 11:32

I wasn't really that dissapointed as I was tired, just had a boring night cos DD was out. Went to bed early so that has done me good.

Shame Janos, he sounds lovely and if he was attractive why didn't you fancy him? Or is that just attractive to other people.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 04/07/2010 12:28

eve sorry to hear that your evening didn't pan out as normal
glad that the early night has done you good tho
elasta if you're at all unsure i would say to keep it purely day time and find something interesting to see or do instead...if the weather's good then bring a picnic
hopefully you'll see how things progress from there
janos that's a shame that there was no spark,as he does sound like a lovely bloke

Janos · 04/07/2010 12:38

He was lovely, a really nice bloke.

When I say attractive what I mean is, I can see how another woman would easily find him attractive. I just didn't fancy him, to put it bluntly.

But, I would certainly see him again as a friend.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 04/07/2010 12:50

janos you can't force that spark
altho sometimes the spark is more like instaneous combustion lol
has he been in touch with you since?
