OMG but still a coincidence. The other in common one was someone from a different part of UK to me but closer to the other party.

I would highly recommend googling someone in future once you've got their full name. I googled 'Athletic' after all the events and found stuff on him.

He must know about BDSM to actually write about it. Strange how men start telling you you are too good a parent/too soft when you are putting your kids first. Had this a few times.

aurorastargazer · 01/07/2010 16:21

hi everyone

janos - no not yet

er, what's bdsm?

kdk · 01/07/2010 16:34

Definitely think you had a lucky escape Janos - next time he approaches you (if he does), tell him you're a bit tied up at the moment - but that he shouldn't beat himself up about waiting for you!

What is it with men anyway, either got weird fantasies/are older than your mum/disappear off the face of the earth and then reappear ... no wonder I've (mostly) given up ...

Still think could be quite amusing for both of you to arrange a date though

FairyLightsForever · 01/07/2010 16:35

aurora- Bondage, dominance/ submission and sado masochism.

Monty100 · 01/07/2010 16:41

Aurora - thanks for asking that question, I didn't know either.

Kdk - rofl.

aurorastargazer · 01/07/2010 16:42

kdk
flf - you live and learn i guess

right have to go meet dd from ballet otherwise she'll think i've been on -computer again forgotten her
have lovely evening xx

Janos · 01/07/2010 20:22

kdk - is it wrong that I spat out a drink laughing at your last comment. It's almost (I said almost) worth getting in touch again just to say that!

eve - think that's very good advice about the googling. It never got the point where I had his full name though and at the moment I'm quite relieved about that. BDSM and Mommy issues - no ta.

aurora

ninah · 01/07/2010 22:23

omg at the shared date - right down to venue
it was only a matter of time I suppose!
pmsl at kdk and tied up
kdk I'll leave fred a mystery as site needs you to register thanks anyway lol
ds friend to tea tonight - do they all giggle and talk about farting at age 7? was something else
and they were on about having to show your willy to go on someone's bouncy castle
rest of time they sat silently on their ds's

elastamum · 01/07/2010 22:23

Interesting point about googling people. I usually do this if i am meeting someone just to check out if they are who they say they are. However, what is a bit frightening is that if i google myself it is pretty easy to find out my job, address etc, etc and i am the only person who comes up under my rather unusual rl name. i guess the age of privacy is well and truly dead

FairyLightsForever · 01/07/2010 23:45

Actually it was his OKC user name that I googled, people often have the same username for other sites, etc, so I thought it would be interesting to find out what other sites he used. [nosey]
His actual name comes up with fairly normal run of the mill stuff, all the dodgy stuff is on his username!

FairyLightsForever · 01/07/2010 23:53

ninah, unfortunately they don't ever seem to grow out of being amused by farting- my ds is 13 and still finds it funny.

elasta, either my name is pretty common, or I just don't use the internet enough, I didn't find me!

I've been ahead of myself all week, so am all packed and ready for holiday tomorrow. Thankfully I worked out my mistake before dragging the kids to the airport

ninah · 01/07/2010 23:57

didn't find me either! well i am going away tomorrow and haven't packed at all, would rather be you! have a lovely hol

FairyLightsForever · 02/07/2010 00:19

And you ninah, I'll still go having forgotten something vital... at least it won't be the passports this time, they're in an obvious place with my purse!

lou33 · 02/07/2010 10:20

Well We

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/07/2010 10:21

hope you both have a lovely holiday
still think that looney tunes needs to be reported tho

lou33 · 02/07/2010 10:37

sorry i had some kind of issue with my post earlier lol

i was going to say well, dp is 38 and ds2 is 9 and they both still find farting hilarious (as does ds1)

i guess they bonded over it

DONTtouchMUMMYSpecialJUICE · 02/07/2010 11:17

10 pages to read up and no time

can i have a quick run down as i need to get back to studying.

whats happening.

oh i did see a bit about polo necks.

johnny depp wears polo necks ... i'd still happily rip it from his back

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/07/2010 11:39

hi juice
i only really dip in and out of this thread lately but it's all much of a muchness i think
janos went on a date with a seemingly nice bloke(no spark)who then got arsey with her for not replying to his message pronto
turns out that flf has also been out with this bloke earlier this year and he's another one with issues
eve also had date again no spark..he's v.keen but she let him down nicely
betty, lou and myself still sat on the old sofa
belle's been quiet
sm01 had mrblue on borrowed time
monty has been dress hunting on ebay
scl has probs with new offices
aurora found out that library man has a gf
elasta still in touch with her chappie
ninah off on her jollies
kdk busy but still getting messages from looney tunes or old gimmers
pc sadly dd still poorly and off school
think that's it really lol
and how are you btw?!

DONTtouchMUMMYSpecialJUICE · 02/07/2010 12:07

i'm fine. studying while getting all effort into getting employed aswell for once dc start school after the hols.

rochester is most definately dp

its all a bit of a whirlwind in a good way. dont have any doubts at all which is a first.i knew without questioning when he says things he's genuine.

kids are all thrilled with the whole situation.not sure how much longer we will hold off before sleepovers involve kids as well. at present we are sticking to just me staying with rochester when i am dc free, and him staying with me when he is dc free... but.. everytime we both have dc, and we take the dc back to our respective houses we have started to face tears and beggings for sleepovers.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/07/2010 12:25

FANTASTIC!!

Remotew · 02/07/2010 12:37

Sounding good Juice, pleased to hear it.

Janos · 02/07/2010 13:21

Oh, fab news about Rochester Juice - and nice to see you back on thread.

I may have to re-think JD now I know he wears polo necks (because of course he cares deeply about what I think )

My DS is five and currently finds anything to do with farting (bot burps), bottoms, going to the toilet completely hilarious.

asbm - I could report this bloke but then are there enough grounds - and what would I say?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/07/2010 13:40

janos i think anyone sending nasty messages like that should be
without wishing to sound melodramatic here he has the potential to be a serious threat to women
remember what scl had to deal with with yorke

Janos · 02/07/2010 13:43

YY very good point asbm. I'll contact the site and say that I have concerns.
