SM - I can't be reading properly, missed that. It's going ok then?

For my sins I am watching bb with dd . In my defence I messed up because I thought I'd be watching Junior Apprentice but I got the times wrong. Grrr.

DD has a law paper tomorrow and should have her nose in books.

Monty - I don't know! They are and they're not! Got red flags but I don't know if that's me and past history.

hatesponge · 09/06/2010 23:41

quick one from me....

pmg - hope all goes well at court tomorrow. Will be sending good legal vibes your way. Clotheswise, smart, but don't overstress about it, just concentrate on getting across what you want to say. Keep calm, and remember we are behind you

juice - good luck (again) for interview...right day this time.

monty - good luck to dd for the exam tomorrow.

scl - re work. I hate all the office politics stuff, hope some compromise re your move is possible, but I know generally in these situations the decisions are all firmly in place long beforehand....

after having said I was on the shelf yesterday, am going back on this already...but only to give work guy one last chance. He will almost certainly turn me down, so I'll be back shelf-filling by tomorrow night I expect

Monty100 · 10/06/2010 10:28

Morning all

Just pushing though some positive vibes to all today who are interviewing/in court/studying/taking exams, and everyone else of course.

Fingers crossed for dd too! Bless her.

Just to let you know I'm thinking of coming off fb in case you wonder why I suddenly 'disappear'. In brief, someone posted a picture of my parents ON THEIR WALL (!!!) and I spent the evening in tears as they have both passed away. It was a shock as to me it was really insensitive. Enough to put me off. I suppose I could re-register under a pseudonym??

Work guy Sponge? remind me.

That Zoosk looks a waste of time. Will have to do POF but just not yet. Got a night out in 2 weeks with work in work town to dread look forward to.

Got DD's prom dress, thank goodness as it's in 2 weeks. Now she needs shoes and bag.

Monty100 · 10/06/2010 10:39

aurora - like your message but can you give a clue to who you were before?

SingleMum01 · 10/06/2010 11:10

aurora - its still happening, but I'm struggling with a few things - he has a lot of female friends, but am sure he's not dating anyone else, he's open but maybe too open as I'm not sure about some things he's said! I've been hurt lots in the past so I'm full of insecurities. Trying my best just to go with it but finding it hard not to dwell on things

Monty100 · 10/06/2010 11:12

Hi Aurora

SCL -In case Aurora has disappeared its Mrsmharket. Have you lot accepted your new work arrangements??

OP posts:
Monty100 · 10/06/2010 11:15

SM - what 'things he's said'??

Aurora - it's a nice name. It'll just take a bit of getting used to.

i'm still here for about half hour

sm - i understand completely, it's really confusing isn't it? would you mind if i said it sounds like he's telling you these things that, in his mind, would mean that he had carte blanche to behave like that; in effect, he's already told yiou what he's like so he thinks you may have no 'right' to be upset if it pans out the way you, at some level, suspect it might? i don't wish to offend you or anything like that

aurorastargazer · 10/06/2010 11:22

this one eve?

Remotew · 10/06/2010 11:25

Yes, did my link not work. How do you do it like that?

Remotew · 10/06/2010 11:26

Oh I see it's showing all page damn! Will have to get it deleted.

aurorastargazer · 10/06/2010 11:33

hi eve, yes the link worked but it showed the whole page and wasn't sure which one you meant

just trying to remember

sincitylover · 10/06/2010 11:36

sorry meant nickname

aurorastargazer · 10/06/2010 11:37

when you click on the pic of the dres itself to make it a larger picture iyswim. then click on the address bar, rightclick, then l.click on copy.

paste link in comments box on mn page

go to beginning of link, the bit that says 'http:' and put 2 of these at the beginning, then at end of link put something like this one (perhaps) and at the end of the link put 2 of these and it shoudl work then.

if that makes sense the way i posted it

aurorastargazer · 10/06/2010 11:43

we made the most active list

scl - was that for me?

Monty100 · 10/06/2010 11:49

Eve - that is LUSH! She'll look gorgeous.

Aurora - pmsl at your instructions.

aurorastargazer · 10/06/2010 11:52

sorry eve it was lovely dress

monty - i couldn' thtink how else to post it, so literally had to post it how i did link

Remotew · 10/06/2010 11:55

Thanks Aurora, I did do the link that way but linked to something I shouldn't have. Come on mumsnet and delete it.

The dress looks much better on than off, really great fit.

hatesponge · 10/06/2010 12:27

eve - lovely dress. Your DD will look fab in it. What colour shoes and bag is she getting? (am determined to keep the S&B thread going)

work guy - where to begin...as briefly as possible, last year I heard via a colleague he liked me. I wasnt interested at first but he grew on me, eventually we had a snog (following a black tie do last summer), after which I was meant to call him (but lost his number) - so didnt speak for a couple of days til back in the office, at which point he sort of backtracked and said he was a bit scared of getting involved....from which point we've sort of tiptoed around one another, are still friends, exchange emails (we are now in different offices) but thats all. He was going to be here today and I was planning on asking him for a drink post work, but his meeting is cancelled, so thats that. Back on the shelf for me!

Monty - re FB for you, expect I would feel the same if someone put a photo up of my parents unannounced - could you not unfriend/block the person who did it...or you could always reregister as monty

Aurora - great new name. When I was at primary school Aurora was my favourite girl's name, and I used to use it as the heroine's name in my stories all the time
