Belle - thanks, added you, love the hen do outfit! Told you he'd contact you!

Betty - enjoy lunch

lou33 · 11/04/2010 12:53

what kind of things can you cook sm?

i am taking dd and the rest of the troupe to the pub for her first legal drink, then we are taking boris home, then i am coming back and making lasagne for a million people, and baking a very lovely looking chocolate cake for the birthday girl

and omg he is washing my walls

SingleMum01 · 11/04/2010 13:14

have a lovely time Lou.

I live on pasta - spag bol usually. I know he likes lasagne and I like the idea of lasagne, garlic bread and salad. The lasagne and bread I have is out of the freezer though! So how do you make it and garlic bread?

I want to make something I can leave in the oven whilst I 'entertain'!

He likes his posh food too or spicy food, so anything that is easy to do but looks good!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/04/2010 13:35

glad to hear that all you london ladies had a fab wine fuelled eve
lou mine has also been doing painting jobs outside for me and has left me with a gleaming car too
am not quite sure how he does it,but he always seems to get the kids to willingly help out whilst i always fail
so yep juicy take any offers of help!!
ninah don't blame you for being pd off,it's about time that he grew a pair frankly AND told his ds to behave himself as well
sm01 i knew he'd like lasagne,what man doesn't?!
lasagne is v simple to make tbh, and if you want to you can use jars for your tomato and cheese sauce
the only thing that i would recommend is pre cooking your lasagne sheets for 2-3mins in boiling salted water with a drop of oil in(keep an eye that they don't stick together tho)
do this in batches of 3-4 sheets then leave them til needed in a bowl of cool water
i cook mine for about 35mins at 180o
don't worry about garlic bread being frozen it's hardly a crime lol
ohh and as a thought sainsbos do a lovely tiramisu
btw hope you all enjoy dd's 18th lou,fab weather for a lunchtime drink!

belle farmer is lovely and that's not a no, it's a later
monty it's kind of a relief you understand tho I wish you didn't have to iyswim
hello mini, welcome
agree with others re dates, sometimes it's worth paying a sitter just to get out, think of it as an investment in mental health!
I haven't arranged to meet thai I have to get house straight etc before dc come back
and tbh I am temporarily lacking in confidence, I think I will feel better once I am in routine again
I feel totally lost without dc
also too much red wine last night just feeling really shit and quite lonely and needy, which is ironic as before i went away i was loving being here on my own
what does he look like? okish, he has hair etc
bit of a gormless grin
i will have to wait to feel a bit more buzzy before dating tho

ninah · 11/04/2010 13:44

sm buy a curry and put it in a pot in the ovn

Monty100 · 11/04/2010 14:05

Ninah - lol at your cooking instructions.

ASBM - sounds good dp getting your dcs doing stuff.

Juice - agree, get all the help you can.

Belle - dp is grovelling but what's done is done. And agree with Ninah, that's not a no, it's can't right now.

Lou - hoping 18th goes really well, sounds lovely.

Off out for a drive to myself, I want to suss out where a house is that I saw online the other day. Will call in at dp's to mark progress. I feel guilty he is so up to his eyes in it. Does that sound wrong? He has really stressed himself out. I do sort of think . lol

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 11/04/2010 14:21

sm - go to m&s... they have loads of ready made stuff... there lamb with pesto and pine nuts is blooming gorgeous and kinda posh grub if you say he's into that. all you do is take it out the m&s packet(hide in very deepest part of bin[wink)... and put it on your own baking tray to cook. maybe leave an open packet of nuts kicking around worktop so he thinks you did it yourself ..

lamb is nice spring meal. looks like you know your seasonal foodstuff too.

get some aunt bessie ready to cook roasties to throw in with lamb. only thing you have to actually make yourself would be some vegs. probably green beans / carrots.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 11/04/2010 14:26

oh and didn't get motorola to help today. got some done today myself. but he's offered to help again as still more to do. might take up his offer for later in week. gott find a way to get all the tree branches to recycling centre. a help with that would be great.

monty - glad dp is grovelling

asbm - very impressed at dp getting dc to do stuff

ninah - you sound very today. think you need nice bath with some lush goodies.

lou - oooh at wall washing.

bnelle - i also agree thats a later.. not a no.

pinksmarties · 11/04/2010 15:13

Juicey, wasn't me, don't have a new man or a mum.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 11/04/2010 15:43

pink - sorry... and sm01 corrected me a few posts previous.

lou33 · 11/04/2010 17:24

bf bought her a sambuca shot, hehe, of course i had to have one to join her

i am now making masses of lasagne and a cake for us and some of her mates who are coming round

i think i am just about sober to do it, i so rarely drink anything stronger than beer now, and i had 2 vodkas and a shot (bf drove, woohoo)

lasagne is basically the same as spag bol with layers of pasta sheets and white sauce topped with cheese and bunged in the oven for about 35 mins

lou33 · 11/04/2010 17:25

i am also extremely impressed the fact bf has managed to get the boys brushing their teeth without threats of violence

i just thought i would add that

piratecat · 11/04/2010 17:28

bloody hell lou, lunchtime drinking, i'd be on the floor!!

happy birthday to your dd x

lou33 · 11/04/2010 17:58

i know, it was great

piratecat · 11/04/2010 18:02

haha, good one, i'd just have the hangover from hell after about an hour.

enjoy rest of evening.

hatesponge · 11/04/2010 18:33

lou - happy bday to dd1 - sounds like you are all having a great day, have to say I'm with pc though, I cant do daytime drinking at all, would be on the floor - or lying down with a 'bad head' after 2 lunchtime drinks

great night out with the london ladies on friday...we are all fabulous & it just goes to show what fools men are that we are all single!

will try and catch up with the weekend's events, sounds like all are having a great time! what news from me - well ex is being a prat as usual, he moaned to the boys that the freezer was full of food and how there was no way it could all be eaten before it went off...sigh...oh and he's asked me for more money for the house cos he can't find anything suitable in his current price range! ffs....!

menwise - DDG man has finally emailed me. we exchanged a few emails friday night (me in my somewhat tipsy state) culminating with him telling me i had a 'fine figure' those of you who saw me on fri will know it is FAR from fine lol had no idea how to respond to that so havent emailed him since......

Remotew · 11/04/2010 19:46

I had a look at Monty's facebook but only saw a quick vid of SCL and Monty. Was there any more footage?

I haven't had chance to catch up with reading this yet, will do tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to Lou's DD.

Went to a friends house for drinks last night after we'd been for a meal.

Sat out in the Garden today.

Seeing Athletic tomorrow afaik.

Remotew · 11/04/2010 19:51

I'm being thick. Just had another look and found them all. You all look great!

SingleMum01 · 11/04/2010 20:07

Just looked at vids - looks like it was a good night. I'm meeting up with Fairy15 from the lone parents round up thread tomorrow - she lives in the same town as me, meeting at a park so kids can play.

Ninah - are you feeling any better?

thesouthsbelle · 11/04/2010 20:45

lou - sambuca at lunch! lol. your BF is deffo a keeper.

monty - also glad DP is grovelling.

ninah - I second the lush goodies. in a bath with a drop of wine (well bottle) sorted.

sm - I really do think the way forward is a ready meal of sorts, hide the packaging & leave a few bits in the washin up bowl or on the draining board so it looks like you've done it. lol.

eve - glad you've had a nice relaxing weekend.

think it's deffo a later from farmer - he's been making me today - with pics of his van & tent asking if i'd go camping with him - & also a pic of the portaloo (nice! lol) have said all in good time. on the plus thou house is scrubbed big time. ooh and also - WE'RE OFF TO WEMBLY!!!! (again!)

Monty100 · 11/04/2010 21:07

Hi everyone

Lou - hope your dd is having a great time. It's sounding good.

Sponge - just email him back . You are gorgeous!

Belle - football was on while I was at dp's. WELL DONE!! lol. Was thinking about you lol.

Juice - well done on garden.

SM - glad your date was good. And hope meet up goes well.

Have really helped dp today, he's worn out. I also went and found that house. I'm at it. It's a real girlie 'doll's house' but that's all I can cope with really after holding this one together for so long. Just had a mooch round and spoke to a really lovely young woman on the road who loves living there, not an official viewing.

ASBM, did you get the link to it? I bet you hate it. I think it would be a great lone parent home tho. lol

Hello to anyone I've missed.

ninah · 11/04/2010 21:20

how exciting monty I love house stuff and would move every couple of years if I could in fact I viewed one while I was away! thos not really practical atm
are you moving with dp, and hence him doing up his place? confused
thanks everyone I have dc back now and feel loads better - plus ex says he will try to keep to the fortnight after all! yay! they had a lovely time and came back with new clothes and trainers, too. wow
Am not on fb so can't see pics but i know hate and kdk look good from helping check profiles

Monty100 · 11/04/2010 21:49

Ninah - glad you're feeling better. Things are def looking brighter than they were earlier. I posted last Monday/Tuesday about dp taking the reigns and going ahead with stuff without discussion. In short, he's got two lodgers moving in tomorrow at his house, where the plan was that we did. If you find it you'll be . So.... I'm looking for somewhere for just me and dcs. Kdk looks really young and gorgeous in rl compared to profile pics that have been posted lol. Sorry Kdk . Sponge is also beautiful . All of the women are, except me who keeps her age very quiet and is an old hag . I'll email them to asbm and perhaps she can forward them to you as I don't have your email but asbm does?

Sorry about previous post, was cut short due to a phone call from friend. Meant to say Eve at date . And Betty how did it go with fireman????? .

hatesponge · 11/04/2010 22:01

Monty - you flatter me FAR too much lol.

and you are most certainly not an old hag, in fact quite the opposite

haven't sent the email yet...am trying to decide whether to IM wedding shop man...he emailed to say he sent me a IM the other night & I'd ignored him (I didnt see it!) however I am crap at any kind of IM convo - mind you then again maybe I need the practice!
