juice-no we havent had the exclusive chat yet! because up until now it has been quite casual and ive been trying to stay cool about it lol we did mention pof early on and chatted about it but havent mentioned it in past few weeks. Arghh!! I hate all this, i dont want to seem insecure but at the same time dont want to be wasting my time with someone who think the grass might be greener!

Remotew · 03/01/2010 12:06

Betty, if you see him tonight, ask him if he is still looking. If he says no you can probably judge if he isn't being truthful. If he says yes then you can make up your mind whether to invest time in him or not. Hope you get the response you want.

Or you could just leave it until later and see what happens but at some point you need to have the talk.

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 03/01/2010 12:31

betty - here's the question... do you trust him?

irrelevant as you haven't had the exclusive chat i suppose.

but if he doesn't do any suspicious behaviour then it shouldn't really be an issue.

he may well just be messaging.. if you dont mind that, then ask him perhaps to change his profile from "looking".. to "not looking iykwim.

or ask him to hide/delete and go for the exclusive chat.

there is absolutely no point tying yourself in knots about it.

be straight up.. its not jealousy or insecurity.. it's a respect thing if you think he's on there every single day, everytime you look then thats odd.

but i do have people i email in a friendly fashion from the site. but i'll log in maybe once a week or fortnight to reply. irish is still on too. and i'll admit to having a peek to see when he last logged in and it varies from "within a week". to "within 30 days" so same as me really.... however... when we were proper exclusive. we both were inactive.

Betty79 · 03/01/2010 12:58

thanks eve and juice-i have looked a few times and it varies to when he logs in but seems to be every few days. I think we might need to have a chat about it, like you say it is a respect thing. I might just say i logged in this morning, and was wondering what to do with my profile cos it seems a bit weird to still have it active at the mo and see what he says.

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 03/01/2010 13:10

good luck with your chat betty ... should hopefully put your mind at ease

aseriouslyblondemoment · 03/01/2010 13:29

that approach sounds like a good one betty
tbh he's prob.just looking to see who he's received messages from,if he was actively seeing other women then i think you'd have sussed him out by now and you'd be seeing far less of him, then eventually not at all
have to admit that if i knew i had a load of messages then i'd be tempted to look

lou33 · 03/01/2010 14:56

i will have to catch up with this later, but i just wanted to say thanks for the birthday wishes

aseriouslyblondemoment · 03/01/2010 15:04

my FB is back on but have had a major clear out.

won't go there with anything else at the mo trying to sort my head out big time. but will say, juicy - you're an angle. xx

anyhow watch this space, am reading but not posting at the mo, but all is ok.

lou33 · 03/01/2010 20:06

it is lovely

he is currently buried under my 2 boys who are attacking him mercilessly, all 3 of them laughing their heads off

Remotew · 03/01/2010 20:15

Sounds like you have had a good birthday Lou.

I've still got the NY blues. Hopefully be OK once I get back to work and in the swing of normality. Got a friend coming up on Friday and she will drag me out to a party.

Good luck for your date Hatesponge.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 03/01/2010 20:42

wayhey sponge
that's good news to start the NY off on this ol'dating thread..are you nervous/excited or indifferent?!
eve i'm still feeling totally meh too tho god knows i shouldn't be really-thanks AF!
hopefully a good old night on the tiles will sort you out
belle glad you're getting there, and can understand why you don't wish to post atm

Monty100 · 03/01/2010 20:46

Hello everyone.

Lou - sounds like you're having a good one.

Sponge - enjoy your date.

Belle - hope all is well.

ASBM - Is Mr ASBM being round to pamper you? lol

aseriouslyblondemoment · 03/01/2010 20:52

hi monty
sadly not as he's at work but even if he were here i'd still be feeling meh tbh
am sure that i'll snap out of it soon!
hope all's well at montytowers?!

Monty100 · 03/01/2010 21:05

Hi ASBM

Lol at Montytowers. Hope you pick up soon and Eve too.

Just took my tree down, all the stuff is in the hall to be put in attic tomorrow.

I went to ASDA today, it was a madhouse, I got stuff for a roast dinner and couldn't be arsed was too tired to cook by the time I got back. Having yesterday's curry.

I'm dreading work, I'm not back til Wednesday though.

hatesponge · 03/01/2010 21:15

asbm - a bit of both really...time passed quite quickly while we were on the phone which is good (although probably because I can talk the hind legs off a donkey and so can he!) so hopefully we will have a nice evening; am not expecting more than that necessarily so any more will be a bonus

am meant to be going to cinema with the builder this week, but he's gone v quiet last couple of days, so we'll see!

belle = hope you're ok.

eve - reckon asbm is right about a night out

aseriouslyblondemoment · 03/01/2010 21:18

ooh bet that was nice,it always tastes better the next day too!
grr at the shops!haven't braved them properly yet, thank god(for once!!)for tesco express

aseriouslyblondemoment · 03/01/2010 21:25

any ideas where you're going to?
is he from the same area as you?

hatesponge · 03/01/2010 21:38

no, he lives about 20 miles or so away - he's told me to pick somewhere local to me so I dont have far to travel am struggling to think of where to go, I normally only go out to eat when it's a post pub curry, or else to the sort of places that are cheap, cheerful & DC friendly.....

am going to text one of my local friends tomorrow for inspiration - she is always going out with her DH so hoping she will have a few suggestions!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 03/01/2010 21:54

ohh NO PRESSURE then lol
this inevitably brings me onto that taboo subject of who pays?!

Remotew · 03/01/2010 21:59

I would let him pay but by a drink afterwards. If you see him again you can pay for more.

Monty100 · 03/01/2010 22:13

I heart Tesco Express.

Sponge - this is exciting!

Hate the paying issue!

hatesponge · 03/01/2010 22:13

hadn't even thought about who pays, lol!

think i may have found a possible, will try to link here

what do we think - have been there before but only for a drink - prices seem reasonable (he said he'll be happy if he gets change from £100, lol)...its not a bit that its also a hotel is it?
