Remotew · 02/01/2010 14:32

So juicy you didn't have that snog at midnight? Well done, I think!

I vaguely remember some boy half my age trying to ram his tongue down my throat then asked if he could come back and sleep at mine as he lived 10 miles away. Run along little boy was my reply.

Fully recovered now. Had a nice lunch out with my Dsis today, taken the tree and decs down. I am so over Christmas and New Year, tbh it wasn't the best one I've had.

Monty how old is DD?

Betty have a good date tonight.

Lou happy birthday for tomorrow, have a good one.

Fairy, Canadian sounds promising.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/01/2010 15:56

and you too!!

Monty100 · 02/01/2010 16:38

Good afternoon ladies.

Betty -

Juice - dam I missed that post too. And at you and Irish. Ahhhhhh.

Eve - hope you feel a bit better. You shouldn't give up, one more freebie try on d direct?

Lou - rofl at you being smitten with mechanic Boris. lol

Fairy - sounds promising?

Pass - I almost missed the 'wii' bit there lol. Hope you're both feeling better.

Belle - have your heard from messer GB today?

ASBM - rofl at 2 fingers. You feeling any better? I hope dp has been spoiling you rotten.

DD is 16. She's a bit humble today. I was quite cross with her.

She dragged me out shopping nye, I didn't buy anything again! Not like me at all. Prob just being sensible. I look at stuff in the shops and think, doh I've already got a pile of that in the blardy drawers at home that I never wear! Need to do more clearing out. DD bought a sweet belt skirt in Zara and that was it. THEN I taxied her quite a way to a party and didn't get back til 9.30 was a bit grumpy nye, it was just me Al and ds here, very low key. My dsis had invited us but I couldn't be arsed was too weary. We didn't even go across the street to the park which overlooks the fireworks, we watched it on tv.

Got up really late today, put a colour on my hair, did eyebrows etc and then locked myself in the kitchen in front of the soap omnibuses and cooked a home made soup and a chicken curry, and gave the kitchen some tlc .

I've been invited to a party at my bosses' today. . Started at 4pm and I've said I could come for a bit at 6pm. . I intend to just stay for a couple of hours. . I've been before and it'll be full of academics so I need to behave but I feel a bit nervous. Al doesn't come to things like that so I'll be on my own. My boss and I were good friends before I went to work in her dept. Yikes. So if I'm slurring on here later you'll know why.

Need to hit the bubbles shortly.

Monty100 · 02/01/2010 16:40

Bubbles meaning bath not booze lol.

Gawd that was a long post then!

sincitylover · 02/01/2010 17:03

just checking in - dcs at exh tonight.

I'm staying in.

Eve - sorry to hear. Hope things look up soon.

Monty - looks like we might work in the same sector. But not same insitution I don't think.

Monty100 · 02/01/2010 17:04

SCL - you're not going to a party today are you??

Monty100 · 02/01/2010 17:06

Oops just realised you're 'staying in'.

SCL - would you like to come to a party today. lol

lou33 · 02/01/2010 17:13

bloody hell i am tired and i promised to take the kids to a wimpy as they had never heard of them

just waiting for the mechanic to arrive so we can go

i would rather be in front of my fire tbh

sincitylover · 02/01/2010 17:20

love wimpy makes me feel all nostalgic

Monty thanks but too cold for me and I may have to up very early for football - though think it might be cx.

Was married to an academic so not keen to go there again!!!

Prefer a more down to earth type of man tho do work with lovely colleagues

sincitylover · 02/01/2010 17:21

Catering managers seem to have a thing for me perhaps cos I look well fed!!

Monty100 · 02/01/2010 17:42

SCL - pmsl. They are all lovely but...

Don't think I quite work in the same sector as you but sort of related. Unless you have been seconded iyswim. Will have a chat on fb later poss.

Lou thanks for message. xx

Right, well I gotta hit those bubbles. I'm always late.

In my defence I've just given the dcs homemade soup and hot crusty bread and will give them curry when I get back.

Remotew · 02/01/2010 17:55

Anyone tried Zoosk on facebook. It says its free so I put a profile on. Not expecting anything, just wondered if it costs to reply to messages etc?

Betty79 · 02/01/2010 18:35

eve-yeah it costs to send messages, u can send winks free and that's it im on it, not really had much off it, have chatted to someone on fb from it as most people put their fb name on there so people can add them. that was the one who ended up living up end of my road lol havent met him tho but still get messages now and then. anyway thought u had given up on dating

had text of mrjack confirming tonight, which is good for him dont normally hear till last mintue maybe he's getting better at this communictaing thing...well we'll see lol

Remotew · 02/01/2010 19:33

I have given up . Just thought I would give it a go now I'm not on POF. Did a search and there are some ugly buggars on it but just added a guy now who looks OK.

lou33 · 02/01/2010 19:53

bloody hell £51 at wimpy!

still they all liked it and i have no washing up

just back in time for a bit of daniel craig on sky movies, a glass of disaronno and a bf slobbing on the sofa with me

and we will toast my birthday at 12 if we can stay awake

Remotew · 02/01/2010 20:34

Just reading a thread in relationships about wirlwind romances. Thought of you Lou.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 02/01/2010 21:12

WTF??? how can you spend £51 @ wimpy?

lol @ eve
best check it out!!

Remotew · 02/01/2010 21:17

I used to love Wimpey. We had one locally and they served it on plates with waitress service. This was in the 70's.

Well I've been exchanging messages with one guu from that fb app. Guess I haven't quite given up yet.
