Dollparts that's great, now you know it's worth building on.

Lou, he's back in the area soon, we have loosely arranged to meet then although he cannot get a ticket to the venue, I've checked.

It's been a casual 'thing' for so long, at some points not even a 'thing' that I cannot see anything more happening.

dollparts · 22/07/2009 23:45

Yes, eve-I always run at 100 miles per hour which is why I ended marrying exh-will NEVER make the same mistake again.

Still, it was nice to hear and I will enjoy seeing how it goes.

Night all, I have to haul my arse out of bed first thing in the morning for a massive clean-up before I start work. my house looks like there has been an almighty explosion!

lou33 · 22/07/2009 23:51

is there any way you can chat to him about ti all eve?

doll, things are lookng good

dp-- that is sounding great pleased there's another one with a decent fella on this thread.

so.... i have a date with a policeman on fri for coffee thru the day.we shall call him the copper.

copper was a sneaking up the rear type. messaged me yesterday. by last night already had my phone number and arranged a date.

he lives very very close by, has dd same age as ds.

and supposed to be meeting BigT on sat. supposed . after i go out the girls for dinner first.but the girls are trying to persuade me to have a drink and stay in gla.

and once i was online playing message tennis with the copper there was another influx.

we also have BigIrish, and braveheart.

big irish... is .. em.. very very tall, and irish

braveheart is tall.... but a little insecure. not sure if i will continue with him. seems easily offfended and high maintenence.

dollparts · 23/07/2009 09:56

rj-how do you keep up and not get them confused?

Sounds like you have had a busy time of it, what sites are you using?

ridingjoker · 23/07/2009 10:00

dp - i get them mixed up all the time. ask same questions and they give it "i've already told you"

lol.

pof in scotland is busy as they are too tight to use paying sites.

BigT has gone in the huff... he asked if i thought he was average looking or a hottie....

i find it impossible to lie about these things. and said "good side of average"

he's gone quiet. haha. this is the longest he's managwed not to text me for weeks.

if he thinks i'm giving in and feeding his ego he has another thing coming.

sincitylover · 23/07/2009 10:52

hello please see my other thread about exh and see what you make of it - it's in lone parents what to do with differences in parenting - didn't take him long to kick off.

Samename well - he had had a few drinks when we met, we then went to a couple of local pubs (the second was very good with jazz band) and ate very very late.

So no action whatsoever and his stomach was playing up all night (bleugh really) andhe or I didn't get much sleep due to his condition. Have blown him out for weekend as he doesn't seem to understand I have no money till Monday(and I am embarassed to have him pay)and I want to be alone, have AF too so not very pleasant.

Have deleted exbf from mobile phonebook (again) so I am not tempted to text him but truth is I am absolutely desperate to hear from him and see him. I know I should move on I have tried but it's not fucking working.

ninah · 23/07/2009 13:53

sin you need someone more exciting than samename to move on with, that's all! sorry you had such a rotten date
my ex had similar apathy in the bedroom to yours (with me, anyway) and I know how hurtful it can be.
rf lol at big T and his big huff!
hello again southern
looking good for you dollparts.
lol at eve's description of that bloke lying down and nodding to his todger, and lou smashing garden gnomes
af has landed here also, tho the pmt has seemed to lasst a fortnight
saw nm again last night, that's every day this week! having tonight off. Am getting to really, really like him.
eve could you just say to your f how about it? in a straightforward non emotional kind of way, see how he feels? maybe he wouldn't freak out so much if you kept it matter of fact - oh dear, I hope you either sort it or feel better

sincitylover · 23/07/2009 14:22

that's interesting ninah hadn't really thought of him as unexciting- intellectually he is interesting ie we have good convos talke about current affairs etc. He ate a curry once before and had a similar reaction.

Moral of story - don't eat curries late at night

Remotew · 23/07/2009 18:37

SCL I've posted on your thread but as I say I only have a very diluted experience along similar lines. It made me for you all.

ninah · 23/07/2009 18:41

fair enough scl was my impression somehow that you weren't 100 per cent bowled over! not I am a lot of the time
glad to hear that

ridingjoker · 23/07/2009 19:31

hi, all.

sorry to hear ex's have been at it again.

well... the recent batch from the accidental influx from pof has resulted in.

copper for tomorrow coffee.
BigIrish looks likely to be meeting for coffee sunday lunchtime.

BigT has been in contact today. but he's still definately in a huff. which is rather unappealing. supposed to be meeting on sat. he initiated contact today. but is trying to get me to stroke his ego. still going on about how i simply thinks he's "good side of average"

aparently i should have said he was fittie like a model. [rolls eyes emoticon]

he isn't anywhere near johnny depp/brad pitt/etc.... so wont be told he is.

dont ask my opinion if you cant handle the truth i say.

lou33 · 23/07/2009 19:37

i have had a great day out with girlfriends, and darkhorse has just turned up at mine with the stuff he promised me (mattress for dd1 and wood to make benches for me)unexpectedly

am shattered and not even fed kids yet

i think it will be something on toast for dinner

OP posts:
Janos · 23/07/2009 20:11

Hope you have a smashing time with Darkhorse lou.

I think perhaps there's something going on (full moon perhaps) as my ex is being very unpleasant again.

I think this unplesantness has been stoked by me standing up to him about talking DS away on holiday. I've had a lovely letter from his solicitor packed full of nasty insinuations and allegations. I could spend oooh, ages, going through it all with but it's too damn depressing.

scl - off to have a look at your thread now.

rj - wmen do seem to want endless ego massage. I'm afraid I can't be doing with that and can be quite blunt if they push it

ninah - much sympathies re the exbf thing. It's hard isn't it. I sent mine a silly text last night and wished I hadn't! May had been wine fuelled tho

Janos · 23/07/2009 20:12

I mean of course MEN want their egos massaging. Well lets not generalise, not all but a lot do!

ninah · 23/07/2009 20:15

what are your feelings about darkhorse now Lou?
janos I think you are getting me mixed up with scl? I haven't been ex texting! tho is true I am prone to daft things when wine fuelled

Janos · 23/07/2009 20:56

Sorry nina! I am getting mixed up. D'oh. I blame tiredness and ex related stress.

Wine plus mobile phone = baaaad combination where I'm concerned

thesouthsbelle · 23/07/2009 21:22

girls, can I ask you a quick question and be totally honest,

I'm talking to a chap who i'm having a date with on tuesday, we were talking earlier on about our plans for the w.e and I said i'm out on sat night, he asked who with, and also earlier my battery was dead, hence I didn't reply to his text, so I said ah yeah sorry about that my battery died, he said, OK I did wonder, I thought u were at the gym or something.

now these are all questions which my XP would ask me, I found them slightly possessive then (and he got worse with it) so is this a red flag I should be worried about, or is it him making conversation?

ridingjoker · 23/07/2009 21:26

southern. depends. did he ask you why you didn't reply straight away. i often take ages to reply and dont offer any explanation.

does he ask why you haven't replied instantly.. or do you offer the explanation and he's simply responding.

thesouthsbelle · 23/07/2009 21:28

no I offer and he responds,

XP used to ask as soon as we spoke, and then when I offered the info he would calm down and respond saying I thought so.

lou33 · 23/07/2009 21:32

oh he's a lovely guy and is still here , he had dinner with us and is now fixing things for me

i said he can stay but there wont be any funny business

i am just glad we have managed to remain friends

the kids were pleased to see him and vice versa

he has said he is going to try come back next weekend to make the benches

OP posts:
ridingjoker · 23/07/2009 21:39

southern belle i dont think you have anything to worry about. but try and break the habit of exaplaining. you dont have to.

life happens, and texts are designed to be replied to when convienient.

thesouthsbelle · 23/07/2009 21:41

will do.

thanks. x

LouLovesAeroplaneJelly · 23/07/2009 22:15

Evening

Well I finally found the new thread. Was having a slow moment and thinking that no one had responded to Lou.

I have not read for a few days so am very out of touch but just read the new one.

RJ - Are you in London? If so BSH (otherwise now known as the trannie) was also very tall and very Irish

lou33 · 23/07/2009 23:00

lol llaj, thank you
