Niceguy thanks for your message, its good to hear a male perspective, and agree there are some decent ones but sadly they are outweighed by the munters, nutters and freaks!
Oh I've got a bag on today because the weathers so miserable!

notoverit · 27/04/2009 14:36

lou - how long were you and exex together before? Oh not long untill he goes away is it. Good idea to make the best of it while you can.

lou33 · 27/04/2009 15:02

only 9 months , i hadnt seen him for 2 yrs before easter monday

ridingjoker · 27/04/2009 15:25

notover - superman is keen on planning things...... months and months in advance. i have to remind him we haven't met sometimes. he says he "just forgets" as feels like he already has.

inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 17:03

inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 17:05

ridingjoker · 27/04/2009 17:06

aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/04/2009 17:08

hi itm
what a great venue for a date
and so proud of you for keeping the vino at arms length lol
so are we feeling more pos as well as lustful?

OP posts:
inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 17:09

I was my usual up front self and told him that I couldn't be interested in him as he was a "player."

That gave him something to think about!
However, I think he is interested in meeting me again after all I am a yummy mummy.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/04/2009 17:11

omg shoot from the hip or what?
bet he was lost for words....!!

inthemist - goog for you. at least he knows where you stand and know what you want out of life. always good thing

inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 17:19

yes rather!

he didn't know what the term meant, so I was gentle and explained what my take on it was, he was surprised as he had wondered what the term had meant

one should only date one at a time, were my wise words least people thought less of you!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/04/2009 17:23

i imagine that men have another term for it lol
ps.not all of them itm

says she who has a date lined up with skippy for next month! However, I did tell marathon man that, me, I am far too honest.

Am expecting a txt tonight once he has had time to get over the shock of meeting me again

If he doesn't then I know where I stand, and can move on

aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/04/2009 17:27

lol
you told him that?
and sober?
oh rofl
you have given him food for thought!!

OP posts:
inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 17:46

I did get the impression that he appreciated my honesty, I dont ever pussy foot around!

notoverit · 27/04/2009 18:02

lou - ok so it wasn't a long term relationship so probably didn't know him well enough to hate him.

Hi inthemist - good for you for being honest, so idn't he try to deny he was a player then?

inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 18:07

no he didn't deny it, but then he didn't know he was one either !

notoverit · 27/04/2009 18:14

but if you explained what a player is then if i was him i would probably of denied it?

so how old is he? seems weird he has never heard of a guy being a player...

inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 18:26

I do understand it from his point of view, he says that he has met a few women but nothing has happened with them, I must admit he has been very gallant with me.

He asks the question how else does he meet women if they are not friends first?

I said that meeting women was fine but move on and let them know rather than just remaining as friends as it was difficult for them to know where they stood, me included.

inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 18:27

I do think he is a bit naive, or a really good actor

I do hope the former!

notoverit · 27/04/2009 18:42

well I'm sure time will tell, you will have to wait to see how it goes. So do you really fancy him then?

inthemistsoftime · 27/04/2009 18:46

mmm you could say that

he has a look of johnny depp about him

and is seriously fit, I have said before he may be a bit too fit, ie I wont be able to keep up with him!

lou33 · 27/04/2009 18:46

notoverit, 9m may not seem long but i loved him more than i ever did my exh

he did nothing but good for me, i would never hate him, we are not together because of circumstance,no other reason

aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/04/2009 19:11

aww lou every time you mention that it does make me feel so sad
how you cope with these feelings i just don't know
