My partner left me when i was 11 weeks pregnant after telling him as he didn't want to be a dad and apparently he couldn't be one, after a stressful and hard 9 months I give birth to my beautiful daughter I haven't been in contact with him to tell him as he made it clear he didn't want to know the baby but I have now had my beautiful baby girl she is 5 weeks old and I don't know if he knows she is born as there is a possibility but also a chance he doesn't know, his mum has viewed my Instagram story and seen my daughter I don't know why she is searching me up as I don't have her on any social media she has looked up up but I don't understand why as they don't want anything to do with the baby she is a foster carer and has supported her son on not having any contact with her son why is this woman viewing my social media?

@Hertsgirl10 I am glad it is your daughter that is studying to be a nurse and not her mother who assumes people have learning difficulties and is being judgemental to somebody based off a few posts, hopefully your daughter is caring and compassionate towards others and not judgmental like her mum as that's not how you become a good nurse.

And I think you are very ignorant to say to somebody they may have learning difficulties would you like somebody to say that to your child if you have one? I don't think you would appreciate that I am not young nor do I have learning difficulties I am a adult trauma nurse Thankyou very much for your opinions but you can take your opinions elsewhere as they are not appreciated or needed on my post.

My only opinion is that regardless of your age you need to grow up. Considering you have such a responsible job, you sound very immature.

Also, why bother posting in the first place if you can't cope with opinions that differ to yours?

iggybop · 05/05/2022 06:35

Well i would look if that were my Granddaughter
Cant blame her for looking. Surely anyone would peek!

But do block her. If she wants a relationship with her Granddaughter; let her get in touch in person

Dont make it easy for her to view from a distance

Branleuse · 05/05/2022 07:01

I think she just wanted a look. Id put all your social media on strictly private

arethereanyleftatall · 05/05/2022 08:12

I thought the entire point of having an open Instagram profile was because you want the world and his dog to look at your story.

@Babygirlmum

I would give someone a chance yes.

I’m sorry but with every reply you give it seems like you’re very immature and I suspect you’re either very young or have some learning difficulties.

Your child has a right to have family links and yes they might have acted rude or whatever in the past but you need to think of your child and not about your feelings.

She might have been fed so many lies from her prick of a son and believed it then and could have realised now that it may not be true.

‘Learning difficulties’.

Jesus.

Do you become a good nurse by ignoring all safeguarding advice and putting your baby on social media without restriction? Not even a private profile?
You want them to look and you want to play all offended and perplexed. It's time to grow up.

Gosh @Babygirlmum this must all be so hard. It sounds though as if you're better off with him and his DM being out of your life, especially if she's been nasty to you.

Agree with some of the others though who've said that curiosity has probably got the better of her abs that's the reason she's done it Flowers

Giveitall · 05/05/2022 08:46

Congratulations for having your dear baby & I hope you’re both doing well apart from the irritations you describe.
It might help if someone explained on here HOW to make your account private. I don’t use Insta so have no idea but I’d recommend you do so. That would be constructive advice.
Furthermore if you don’t have a “window” on her world or his for that matter, don’t give them a window on yours via any social media. Block all avenues for them. Today!
if you haven’t already done so take advice about obtaining financial support from the absent father of your baby. Get that ball rolling asap.
Enjoy your baby & devote yourself attention to bringing her up nicely in a loving & calm environment. Leave out too much preoccupation with social media but do the privacy actions as advised.

PritiPatelsMaker · 05/05/2022 08:46

Sorry, forgot to say congratulations too Flowers

I hope you get some time to enjoy her and don't let these two ruin things for you Flowers

Ok @Babygirlmum, I’ve had a look at your other threads. I remember a couple of them.

You have been obsessing over this ‘much younger’ man since he left you. He’s flakey, he’s not there for you, he’s immature and he’s already failed you enough to never be given another chance.

His mother has been viewing your social media stories since March. It’s now May. Your baby girl is now here. it really is time to step up, protect her from these people (and the rest of the world) and just focus on her.

All the time you’re focusing on these people, you’re not focusing on her and yourself and that is wrong.

Rise above them and exclude them from your life.

DinoRock · 05/05/2022 08:58

Shut down your Insta profile to private and be strict on who you add as a friend if you have pictures of your child on it. Then you don't have to give grandma or any weirdos anything to look at.

HoppingPavlova · 05/05/2022 09:04

Human curiosity, that’s why. Not hard to understand whatever the background. Silly if you don’t have your SM locked down.
