Shiny Fred.

I've put it here rather than Chat so we can keep it off the beaten track a little. If there's already one on Chat could some kind soul point me in the right direction please?

Off to the contact centre today, dreading it Sad just going to check it out and start the ball rolling. Ex is a functioning drug addict so this is his only option to see DD. If he doesn't like it tough! Take me to court, I'll happily stand up and tell a room of people how you would rather buy drugs than feed your child!

Kids having first night at their dads tonight. I’ve spent the last hour on the sofa sobbing. Trying to find the strength to peel myself off and go make hot chockate and toast and take myself to bed to watch something :( I want my babies with me :(

@ZigZagZombie It is to be expected to feel like you do. Be kind to yourself. The first weekend my kids spent with their dad I got blind drunk. 🤢

I know right now it doesn't help but it does get easier. I still miss them. But appreciate the rest.

Try and make plans. With friends and family. I started volunteering with the homeless. Doing something worthwhile and helped me appreciate my own situation.

Also just try to seei today as one day. The children spend 4 days a month with their dad. I'm grateful for the 26 days I have.
