My friends used match.com. Been on it 2 weeks and has bagged herself a man already - they are now inseperable!

mancmum · 28/03/2006 19:47

my sister married someone off udate.com....

Caligula · 28/03/2006 19:56

They're all carp.

I meant to type crap, but carp is just as descriptive.

bonkerz · 28/03/2006 20:02

second that vote for udate! I met my man on udate in October 2002 and we have been married 3 years in October!

angelp · 28/03/2006 20:05

Just coming up for 4th wedding anniversay - udate again!

wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:06

Hmmm, let me think for a while and I'll tell you, or in MN tradition you could start a thread on it?

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 20:35

could do, or even start a thread on mn starting a dating section.

at least people could give there rl opinion on members they have met.

wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:38

Yep, go on then!

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 20:40

cant, you make me go shy

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:41

I make you go SHY? Do you want me to ressurect some old threads??? If that's you shy, god knows what you're like when you're outgoing!!!

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 20:42

but you led me astray

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:44

If you believe that you'll believe anything! You could always put that on your dating profile - wanted, woman to lead me astray

sanchpanch · 28/03/2006 20:44

I am there with you

I had a look on a website at the weekend but was but off by the lookers on the home page.....think it was interrdate, think its the only free one for women, so i was told

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 20:46

rubber duck needs woman to lead him astray
if anyone contacted me I'd be a bit apprehensive

OP posts:
sanchpanch · 28/03/2006 20:46

was meant to go speed dating tonight, but i chickened out, to scared in case i am seen by ex' s friends or someone, that also puts me off putting my photo on internet in case he sees it...

wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:46

Just put something nice and normal and see what happens - you might get a nice normal woman for dinners, walks and absinthe

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 20:47

sandpanch, i nearly did that too + bottled it

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:47

Friend of mine keeps begging me to go speed dating and I keep 'forgetting' to organise it with her - online is one thing, being stuck in a room with loads of fat geeks (sorry to any gorgeous blokes who go speed dating) is another entirely!

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 20:48

wk, whats normal?

then again why am i asking you that

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:49

OI! Yes, how would I know normal? Normal (in my world) would be a woman who comes complete with apron, is incredibly sweet and likes kittens?

ggglimpopo · 28/03/2006 20:49

I'd speeddate if I was still single. At least you've only got 7 minutes with someone if they are boring or dead wierd. And you don't have to fork out on wine/flowers/crap if you are the man (or halves if you are feministy)

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 20:50

and only drinks half a glass of wine per night

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 28/03/2006 20:50

Very true ggg - I'm really tempted just to see what its like - whether it is truly horrific or good.
