i have good vibes for this one,i think he'll tick all the boxes that al didn'tGrin
always nice to have a bloke want to woo you...enjoy it!!
knowing nmn she's a tough bird and won't take any nonsense so maybe the offer of extra bin liners would be more app than hand holdingWink

thesouthsbelle · 20/03/2011 16:24

HI chaps & chapettes, blondie good to see you & dp together still & sorry to hear about his redundancy.

ninah/lou/sin & the old gang how are you all faring? hope you're all out drinking & dating & giving men what for?!? lol.

things are still good here, still with soldier (dp) expecting our first child in August - little daunted as the bloody army is sending him away for 4 months first happy days! lol. but mostly ok, had a few issues with his ex which have been sorted out, so we're one big misfit happy family. Seems really odd thou to say this time next month it's roughly a year we've been together - scarey, but actually seems longer. :)

Monty27 · 20/03/2011 16:34

ASBM - PMSL at bin liners. Brings me back to when I was packing for fexh which entailed me rolling bin liners of his clothes down the stairs, one of which contained my wedding dress rolled up in a ball, me bitter? Grin

I've just been in and checked on tv but couldn't find anything on today's cup final, oh I hope we won/win, they must be showing it on sky which I haven't got :).

Hello hello hello Belle! Congrats on baby! Blardy hell, we'll all be clucking like a bunch of hens. Very pleased to hear everything is going well Grin

thesouthsbelle · 20/03/2011 16:38

thanks monty, we have 2 very excited big brothers to be, who think it's a girl to be called petal or rosebush :o

what cup is it today?

Monty27 · 20/03/2011 16:42

Celtic v Rangers cup final 1-1 at half time app.

That's lovely Belle, Rose is a nice name (wrong thread I know) Grin

aseriouslyblondemoment · 20/03/2011 16:44

aseriouslyblondemoment · 20/03/2011 16:47

have sky monty but as you know only too well COD is far more important than anything i'd like to watch
saying that no doubt it'll turn into a spot of fisticuffs up there later!

elastamum · 20/03/2011 16:50

Lilac really good news about DD, you must be soo relived Smile

Shock Ouch! comments re other posters on thread are a little bit harsh. Now sure if I should be here myself now given some of the sentiments expressed here Sad

elastamum · 20/03/2011 16:51

NOT sure that is.....

thesouthsbelle · 20/03/2011 16:51

ooh betty yes, who's nmn now? I think juicy is still doing ok. (ooh no is nmn juicy - please not?!)

it's getting there, no real probs with the pregnancy it's self just me atm - tooth pains, had 2 out v nasty infections/pill popping etc so worried all around. DP is away atm until next sunday, (only 10 days so we're doing the whole hour phone dates every night again like we did when first together if you remember way back when lol) then 23rd he's away for 16 weeks, (will be 37+ when he returns assuming lybia doesn't kick off) as he'll be diverted if it does - and then I shall be very cross with someone! lol. the dogs are good thanks, DP has adopted them, so they hound him for a walk everyday bless him at least an hour, takes a thermos & he's off with his i pod thingy. The kids are ok, good job they get on well. I do find DSS tiring at times - mostly as we seem to have him when DS is with XP, plus he has several behavioral related probs so can be tiring but mostly ok as end of the day he's just a kid.

haven't seen the cup, and DS has scooby do on - to try & turn the channel over would be suicide lol. How are you girls doing anyhow - any new chappies out there or still the same old drips trying it on?

Monty27 · 20/03/2011 16:56

Belle - yes it is (NMN), sadly.

I googled the current score but if anyone can give me an update...

Lol at Celtic ticking boxes Al wouldn't couldn't.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 20/03/2011 16:59

please god it will all be sorted out there by then
is your mum on standby tho?
mont why not text him to find out?!Grin

Monty27 · 20/03/2011 17:00

ASBM - Grin

Yy Libya is scary stuff.

Betty79 · 20/03/2011 17:00

Well seeing as you asked I will come out of lurk mode, to report I am offical back on the single sofa too, have been for about a month now. Havent been back on here till now as cant really be arsed with men at the mo!

So Hello to all of you that I dont really know yet and hope to get to know Smile and those oldies who are back Wink

Cant believe u are back juice (do I have to call u nmn lol)! I hadnt realised you were living together either, thankfully me and exbf werent anywhere near that stage! And Belle congrats, saw your annoucement on fb but glad all is well :)

aseriouslyblondemoment · 20/03/2011 17:03

lovely to see you back just wish it were under happier circsSad
how are you bearing up?

thesouthsbelle · 20/03/2011 17:04

awww my nmn - i'll be online later on for a chat mrs!!! thought you chaps were in for the long hall. :( and you betty as well.

mum's on stadby yes, she's clucking away & everytime DP is away she's coming over & fussing bless her which is nice this time around as she was 250 miles away with DP.

what happened with Al? how about singlemum? (sorry prob shouldn't hijack ya thread just nice to stop in from time to time)

aseriouslyblondemoment · 20/03/2011 17:11

that's fantastic to hear that you've got that support belle and your mum sounds a real star!Smile

Hatesponge · 20/03/2011 17:21

blimey, am not here for a couple of days and lots of old faces pop up!

belle, many congrats re baby, lovely news :) Had wondered how things were going for you, and nice to hear all's good.

nmn, sounds as though (as ever!) you know what you're doing re current situation, and have it all well in hand. Hope he will take it well, sounds as though he knows its on the cards so shouldnt be a total shock to him when you get the bin bags out :)

also to asbm and betty (betty sorry to hear yr news)

tookool/elasta, dont go. FWIW I don't think anyone should feel they shouldn't post, whether its that they've dont have any wild dating stories, are just having a lean patch, or because they are safely ensconced on the sofa. I honestly think we have a lovely bunch of people here and wouldn't want anyone to feel bad about anything they have or haven't posted on the thread. I include myself in that, having had no dates to report for a while 12 months :)

Changing the subject, Monty the score is 2-1 rangers, with only a little extra time left. So Celtic may need cheering up Grin

Monty27 · 20/03/2011 17:24

Betty! Hello, I'm sorry to hear your news, are you ok? It took me some time to come back on here when Al and I split too. It's difficult. Hope you're ok.

Belle - Al got his P45 as his relationship with DS deteriorated to a degree that it wasn't workable. Al's never had his own dc so 'didn't get it'. DS if 15, the most difficult years and needed support and love not constant mithering and criticism.

So I'm back on the shelf since end October with absolutely no luck on-line dating, although I did give it a go. Celtic is someone I've known through work for a couple of years and he has just discovered I'm single, so watch this space!

I really like him, he's a lovely guy, but not in a Phwoar! way iyswim.

Monty27 · 20/03/2011 17:28

Sponge - Xpost. Shock at score. Oh I think I might be cheering Celtic up when he gets back on Tuesday then Grin. See, I have a soft spot for him. Grin

Hatesponge · 20/03/2011 17:32

Monty Grin ah, you do like him a bit then!

Monty27 · 20/03/2011 17:35

Sponge - I think I do, but he's scaring me a bit as he seems very keen. Grin

Betty79 · 20/03/2011 17:41

asbm and monty-I'm ok about it thanks, lifes to short to sit around and mope about it. And if its not meant to be its not end of....just have no ethusiasm to go through all that 1st date malarky yet. Am happy with it being me and the girls at the mo :)

and monty who is this celtic? Wink

and i would agree with what sponge has said about posting, when I first came on here it was never always about dating just a bunch of women who were single or dating and getting a bit of support either way.

Ooh just noticed the new smileys....anyone for a Brew

elastamum · 20/03/2011 17:48

Thanks sponge Might just stop by for a Brew sometime. If it hadnt been for the lovely people on this thread I would never have had the bottle to get back out there dating after ex dumped me and the kids.

Hatesponge · 20/03/2011 17:49

betty, good to hear you're ok, and totally agree if not meant to be etc....

monty - keen is good! you're fab, why wouldn't he be keen on you? he prob can't believe his luck that you're single :)
