Ok. Glad you all think its ok. Public park it is.
He seems nice, own buiness. I'll call him dog man for now. He's not got my number yet.
Filmbuff has just text me again, so that's good, he was the last one to text last night too. he's def interested and nothing I've said so far has put him off.
Who knows, maybe one of them might lead somewhere ( got to be optimistic , right)

elastaelf · 31/12/2010 16:58

Thanks eve for team kick up arse. Just what we need. Xmas Grin

Have just got in from shopping. Me and my 2 single girlfriends are going to new years eve party as lucky black cats!!!!(lets hope it works)

So its killer high heeled black boots, leggings, sparkly black tops, and oh so cute ears and tails, topped with black feather boas all round!

Will let you know if we get lucky.

Happy new year!!!

Remotew · 31/12/2010 18:13

elasta, Oh Ah! Makes my outfit for tonight sound very tame. Just black trousers and geometric top.

Have a good one to everyone. Speak to you next year.

lou33 · 31/12/2010 18:13

everyone who is going out tonight have fun

i was supposed to be going out for dinner with the kids and dp, to celebrate dd2's birthday belatedly, but am too blardy ill, so have postponed it til next fri, and we can have a joint belated dinner for both dd2 and myself having birthdays

dp has looked after me all day and made the house spick and span

he has gone for a quick ny drink with a mate before getting some food for the kids to eat

we were invited out to a nye party, but what with the now cancelled dinner and the fact dd1 is off to paint the town red, we had noone to watch the others, regardless of if i was ill or not

am currently in bed with a huge pile of tissues and blocked ears :(

Flame · 31/12/2010 19:01

Very jealous of those going out.

beaut i wouldn't go. Too soon. If it is meant to be it will work with the distance.

Went slightly psychotic this morning. Carrot didn't text when he had promised he would. It coincided with pmt so I unleashed hell about how he's cocked up my dates by texting during them and generally not helping in the slightest with me moving on. It was all stuff that needed to be said for ages but not in quite such an insane rant which only happened because he didn't keep his word and I had too many hormones. Blush

He said the date went well - he's been on POF each time I've been on today though so it can't have been that fabulous (she was match) Wink. Jealous obv but much more stable now pmt has eased.

Gonna try and get out in the real world tomorrow evening.

lou33 · 31/12/2010 20:21

can i just feel sorry for myself and say i feel absolutely pants

rough as a badgers arse :(

Flame · 31/12/2010 20:27

:( That's crappy Lou.

I am sat here alone with a hacking cough and period pains and people keep texting me invites out. I am so angry with XH right now. He cocked up every NYE refusing to do anything when we were together and now he has ruined my first single one too.

I don't want to start the year alone.

lou33 · 31/12/2010 20:38

tbh i am fairly bah humbug about nye, and dont usually go out, but it would be nice to feel well enough to, even if i dont iyswim

dd1 is having her first nye out anyway so there would be noone to watch the other kids tonight

but we had been invited to a friend of dp's for a knees up, which would have been more agreeable to me than being surrounded by hundreds of drunken bastards getting lashed and irritating the fuck out of me

it would be nice to be able to stay upright for more than 10 mins at a time though, i cant even blame alcohol

shall we sit in the grumpy corner flame?

Flame · 31/12/2010 20:40

I just want to be with people.

I've never particularly wanted to go out for NYE but acknowledge it iyswim.

I just feel so alone right now.

lou33 · 31/12/2010 20:43

i usually just stay in and have a drink here

i would say cheer up, at least you have me but i am the booby prize tonight lol

Remotew · 31/12/2010 20:49

I felt like cinderella about an hour ago, then got a bath, hairwash, changed, painted nails then put some lash inserts in. Rather I felt like one of her step sisters, not sure about now but a vast improvement.

Told friends I would get a taxi about half ten but no reply so reckon I will be wondering around town on my own.

Not sure about these lashes, reckon they are going to come off during the night. Grin

lou33 · 31/12/2010 21:04

i can no longer see to put on false lashes, and trying to put them on wearing my glasses does not work

Flame · 31/12/2010 21:11

I've never worn false lashes.

lou33 · 31/12/2010 21:19

i quite like them sometimes, but i dont really find any times suitable nowadays

i have crappy short eyelashes too

unlike my kids Envy

Remotew · 31/12/2010 21:21

Yeah, what's that all about, I used to have long eyelashes and now you cannot see them, also my eyes are getting smaller. It was a struggle getting them on, that's why I reckon they will come off.

I had trouble seeing properly to paint my nails aswell. OK I am 50 in 2011, it's all downhill now.

lou33 · 31/12/2010 21:26

if you are only just starting to struggle painting your nails then i feel no sympathy at all

my eyes have been getting worse and worse since i was 38, and in october my optician said my eyes were really quite bad for my age

then it dawned on me that she had my year of birth down wrong as 3 yrs older than i actually am

which means my eyes are not really quite bad for my age, they are fucked...

Remotew · 31/12/2010 21:26

Oh bless forgot to say that for the past 2 yrs I've gone to the same place NYE and met this local guy who is on my fb. He's taken a photo of me both times so I asked tonight if he was going and he is. Unfortunatley he's far from F. Hope he doesn't think he's on a promise. I just want another pic to make it 3. Grin

Remotew · 31/12/2010 21:28

I wear glasses for driving at night, distance because the lights blur but I need them now for closer. I look hideous in them and will have to get contacts when it comes to it. But you are right, not too bad considering my age!

BeauticianNotMagician · 31/12/2010 21:28

Ooh i love false eyelashes.I think they can make such a difference.

Thank you to everyone for your advice. We are going to talk now.Had a great meal out together with the boys.

Happy New Year to you all.Hope you all have a great night. As long as the alcohol keeps flowing i'm sure we will all be alright
xxx

Remotew · 31/12/2010 21:30

Beaut and to you. Fingers crossed for you and DG x

Flame · 31/12/2010 21:32

My friend's boyfriend is driving her from London to be with me. Shock

lou33 · 31/12/2010 21:35

good luck bnm

eve i have to wear glasses for anything close, like the pc, reading, plucking my eyebrows etc

shaving in the shower or bath is a bit of pot luck, cant wear my glasses in there as they steam up lol

i have glasses for driving/ long distance stuff like watching tv too, but i am legal to drive without them, but they do help at night or if i am tired, or the weather is bad etc

i need to tighten up my reading glasses as the arms feel a bit loose, but i cant see to do it without them, hehe, so have asked dp if he will oblige

Remotew · 31/12/2010 21:36

Good Flame, you need some company.

lou33 · 31/12/2010 21:36

woohoo flame, excellent

now get your face on and have a good time!
