SCL, well I did give him a second chance. I went out with this guy when DD was a baby. Remembered telling him to come round today at 3 pm, and at 3 pm he's at my door! We went out today round all the local pubs and had a lovely time.

It was so great to not be on my own on NY day, such fun. He's not the sharpest knife in the box, no money but what little he has he wanted to spend on me. He knows me and all my faults and I haven't had a new years day any better. Bless him

Oh it won't be the start of anything big, but made a nice change.

I need to detox from now on my bodyclock is all out of synch. Was awake half the night then slept all morning. Not looking forward to work on Tuesday.

had lovely evening with regrettably platonic best male friend, went to pub with him and two of his friends, then all back to mine, drank champagne on the roof terrace and played jenga.

went for late lunch yesterday with them all, then the ladies went home and we went back to mine for more beer and champagne, writing our screenplay and discussion of wanking techniques. ended up watching telly, cuddled up on the sofa. perfect evening! bloody platonic nonsense!

amazingly i managed to get out of bed today and feel reasonably human!

so decided the best thing to do was go and order a new motability car now ds2 has had his dla renewed for that part indefinitely

same type car as the one i have currently, just a diff spec and colour, and obviously will be new

if i had my way i would have a different type, but cant afford the up front deposit, and as from a couple of days ago they are doing a special offer on my current choice, of a down payment of only £495, which i will be able to cobble together

there is something rather lovely about ordering a brand new car, cant wait to get it!

NYE party was great. No FIA men but we had a really good time. Have been trying to catch up on some work yesterday and today. Boys are back and fighting over xbox / TV so it is business as usual here.

Have had NY txt from both university man and radioman. Think university man is more keen though

Ex H stopped for a coffee when dropping off and tried to tell me he didnt think he should be paying his part of our school fees bill, due tomorrow. Got quite cross when I have insisted he should pay up and went off in a huff. Dont know if he is going to though and it will make a serious dent in my finances. What a lovely start to the new year!

i promised dd2 we would try to go out next fri for her birthday meal, as i wasnt well enough last fri, so will prob use it as a double celebration
