Right, Lilac - think i've worked it out ... go to your username in the top righthand corner where it says Welcome soandso and click on your name. Your profile should come up with little green pen icons next to the bits of information about you ie your age/location .... hope that helps.

Thanks mzd, I get it now...mine says London, and his says the place we both live, which is 9 miles from the centre of London, so it must just measure distance from central London. That's where Lovestruck is good, at least you can be specific.

i couldnt get ds2 to school today as the roads are like sheets of ice in my village, esp my road it seems, and i also had to cancel ds1's hospital appointment today for the same reason

the snow eased off for a while but now it is really coming down

dp made it down here a short while ago to fix my washing machine (woohoo) and he said he couldnt believe how awful the roads around me are ( i think he thought i was exaggerating so i had a reason not to get up this morning, lol)

he said as soon as he got off the main roads and into my local area he was skidding all over the place, even going round one roundabout sideways!

then he said "it was great fun"

i think the school will be shut tomorrow, but i have already told one of ds2's ta's that he wont be in

Hello there everyone - cant think of an Xmas name for myself.

Ds2s school closed today but had to go into work so took him with me.

Dont think I can really do that again tomorrow so will have to take day off (ds1s school also clsoed tomorrow). My after schoool cm is also a dog walker and cleaner so don't think she can have ds2 and ds1 not happy about being alone.

Think that will go down like a lead balloon at work but don't really know what else to do.

Also ds2 slipped on the ice and banged the back of his head really hard - it has come up like an egg. Im monitoring him for signs of concussion but he seems ok but of course very shocked and upset after falling.

Have made it into work again...took just over 2 hours today so a definite improvement. However, of my team of 9, only 3 others are in. Office has a weird, last day of school feeling
