Hey lou, so you have been hit by horrible freezing wet stuff.See your seven inches and raise you another 20 or so! Can understand why you are worried about OH with the roads being so icy. Is he checking in with you?

As you were all joshing about the Okc quick match thingy I checked mine and guess who came top? Thass right, PMM. Arf arf arf!! Well, someone out there has a sense of humour.

Exbf has gone very quiet again which does not come as a surprise at all, however we at least had a good night. It's all my fault because I texted him drunk on Fri night saying he had a nice arse. I blame Fairylights, she led me astray Grin.

Janos · 02/12/2010 15:15

elasta - I see radioman has been in touch. Yay! Knew he would.

Flame - lots to catch up on :)

sponge - shame about the cancelled party. Think our works do may get cancelled if the weather keeps up.

elastaelf · 02/12/2010 16:47

Only 4 inches here! still, think I might even settle for that at the right moment Xmas Blush

Flame · 02/12/2010 17:00

My landlord called. Apparently he has passed by a couple of times and there has been litter in the garden. (It seems to be one that collects everything in the wind - I go and collect it up once a day or so). I have been given a lecture on how he spends a lot of money to get houses looking pristine before tenants move in (we repainted the lounge before moving in because his decorators did such a crap job, and the grass could have had pygmies in it), and how single mothers are terrible at keeping houses and gardens in a good state.

Mixed in with happy family photos all over fb of friends and husbands/partners playing in snow... I now feel like crap.

Bastard.

lilacbauble · 02/12/2010 19:47

I second that, flame. My last house was like that, everything bypassed the neighbours' gardens and blew straight into ours.

yay for 4th date elasta, I haven't managed one of those yet!

I second hatechristmascake too, although I also offer hatemincepies as an alternative.

christmaseve · 02/12/2010 20:09

We have heavy snow forecast for tomorrow all day so I am expecting not to make it in work. Fingers crossed, have to take it as flexi so will have to make up some time but hey rather that than going in and having to travel back on a nightmare journey.

Got a night out on Saturday, meal, luckydip, might even hit a cheesy disco. It's an annual thing with a load of long standing mates, thought better of saying 'old'. Managed to rush into town for a new pair of black trousers from Next, team with a nice top and, voila, should be good for a few parties.

Elasta, pleased for you, date 4 Grin forget the numbers and only do what you are comfortable with, I would hold off for a while but never practise what I preach.

christmaseve · 02/12/2010 20:38

Damn, the weather forecast has changed, heavy snow not until the afternoon, so better lay off the wine tonight Grin.

lou33 · 02/12/2010 22:48

all schools are closed here and we cant go anywhere so its a barrel of laughs here Hmm

at least i get to sleep in til whenever though

however i am running low on potatoes and dog food

Flame · 02/12/2010 23:39

Spent ages last weekend trying to convince Custy to put off the Brighton do for a week - she said nothing would stop it! Lightweight.

(In all seriousness though, it sucks it has been called off :()

School closed tomorrow. Hoping DS is in a better mood. Its nice not having to wake on the off chance. No more snow here - pavements turning to ice. It was lethal out there this evening, walking down the hill where I am was pretty much impossible.

Horrendous toothache. I had an emergency appointment this morning for it, but had to cancel as I couldn't get the kids to anyone to have them :( Just dosed up on pills and hoping they kick in soon. I am generally not too bad during the day but it really kicks in at night.

Woohoo for date 4.

Is there some magical site that will post me the ideal man, without me having to piss about with the initial bit? Or some friend suddenly remember they have a hot single mate that would be perfect for me? I want the man, but can't face the whole hunting thing atm, my mind isn't settled enough.

christmaseve · 03/12/2010 09:46

I'm at work waiting for the forecasted snow to materialise then I'm off home.

Flame, I often wish for something like that. Someone from the dating site who knows you and you have always secretely fancied getting in touch, or meeting someone by chance as I prefer it the good old fashioned way.

elastaelf · 03/12/2010 10:05

Hi all, Have just go back in from dropping the little darlings at school and doing the horses. -9 here this morning. Lovely!!
Smile

Janos · 03/12/2010 10:21

-9. Pffft. Guess how cold up here? -14!

Sympathies lou, its been like that up here to for the last few days.

Seems, fingers crossed to be clearing a bit tho.

Flame · 03/12/2010 18:06

Why doesn't it happen Eve?

Demon tooth being removed tomorrow at 11am. It goes to show how much it hurts that I am not the slightest bit scared of them taking it out.

christmaseve · 03/12/2010 21:06

Flame, it will be a relief to get it taken out.

This damned snow is threatening my night out tomorrow, forecast some more and we might not get there Sad.

lou33 · 03/12/2010 22:28

I havent left the house since tues!

TwinkleyFairyLights · 03/12/2010 22:34

Feeling sorry for myself, was supposed to be going to the Edinburgh MN meetup tomorrow, but I have had a really sore throat and felt generally crap for the last couple of days. DS looked in my mouth earlier and says that he thinks it's tonsilitis... he's right, they're red swollen and ulcerated. No wonder I feel so crap Sad

lilacbauble · 03/12/2010 23:24

Sorry to hear that fairy, get well soon.

-3 here, it's practically summer :)

Flame · 04/12/2010 02:36

aww fairy :(

Lou I would have gone insane in that time!

So I have a period now. Silly not to add that into the mix too. At least I won't feel period pains with this many painkillers!

Flame · 04/12/2010 03:03

How much do divorces cost btw?

I'm not planning to rush out and get one right away, but it has only just occurred to me that we are clearing debts etc and we will need to remember to add in that cost too.

Janos · 04/12/2010 16:17

Fairylights :( hope you feel better soon.

It's 2 degrees here today. Practically summer. Still heavy snow on the ground tho, and DS school shut on Monday.

Am leaving house tomorrow whatever the weather or I will actually go MAD.

Flame, what happened with your tooth - did you get it taken out?

Flame · 04/12/2010 16:19

Tooth is gone!!! I slept for most of the afternoon and have woken up with numbness gone and no pain despite lack of painkillers. It is heaven.

Janos · 04/12/2010 17:14

:)

I remember having hideous toothache, mainlining codeine etc

Janos · 04/12/2010 17:15

Posted too quick..I remember how nasty it was. Toothache is a hideous awful pain. Glad you're feeling better!

lou33 · 04/12/2010 19:35

i have refused to go out unless i really have to atm, and i dont have to so am staying put til monday with luck
