He said "ok woman"

:)

StrawberryFruitBat · 12/10/2010 18:36

Gah. Just read through profile of someone on POF (good "chemistry match" or some crap) - got to the end, clicked through his pictures... and realised he is the little brother of someone I went to school with!

StrawberryFruitBat · 12/10/2010 18:58

So much for keeping my distance.

I reply to texts far too easily...

lou33 · 12/10/2010 21:27

i do love reading your updates :)

lilac21 · 12/10/2010 21:44

So do I, can't work out the whole carrot thing at all.

I was hoping to meet cyclist on Thurs but it looks like he'll be busy, he said not sure but make other plans if you like. It's a cross between 'I'm not bothered' and 'I'm really considerate' I suppose...

A few texts from nameless guy (I am going to keep calling him that because if you knew his name you would get it!) and we're planning to have a quick drink after work Friday because I will be in central London. That's as well as Saturday daytime, I hope.

Glad you're feeling better Lou.

Hello to everyone else. We have a work do to see Chinese Elvis on Nov 12th but I said I can't go, already have plans for that night. Looking forward to meeting you all :)

lou33 · 12/10/2010 22:38

bring elvis with you?

StrawberryFruitBat · 12/10/2010 22:38

Lol it is a little stream of consciousness thing with me. I do it via text too - Carrot told me on Sun that it is like I tweet via text. Blush:o

I love your list of men Lilac!

I'm getting quite excited by the meet too :o I haven't actually arranged it with XH or anything yet, but it'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiine

StrawberryFruitBat · 12/10/2010 23:16

(Oh, the text I replied to was one telling me he was in a bath with a glass of wine, and did that make him a girl - is it normal to tell people you're in a bath if you're not doing things with them?? I of course informed him that I could only verify that with a photo )

mummyilubyou · 13/10/2010 09:51

help oh wise WHatF&IMG MNers

very important question. Prob aimed at lou and Monty and anyone else snug on the marital sofa who is lurking.....

What in RL did your DP refer to you as to other people in the early days - GF? DP? Woman? RAF has asked what he will introduce me as at the Mess dinner next week and I don't know. Last time I wasn't a wife or fiancee I was GF and that was fine but not sure that GF at 38 is right. That said, Partner am not sure about either....

StrawberryFruitBat · 13/10/2010 10:34

i would say gf. partner strikes as long term imo

elastamum · 13/10/2010 11:03

Hi MILY!!!

Good for you!!

I would say girlfriend, partner is OK but definately more of a long term thing. I think that the others will probably be a bit jealous that he has such a glamourous GF at 38.(saw the piccy in your hat!) Lucky him!!!

elastamum · 13/10/2010 11:06

Ohh and I have a date on Friday with new, as yet unnamed man and a txt from doc this morning asking when can I see him this weekend!

Am going to mums, but I have got a cold so wont be able to go to see her until it gets better, as she is so vunerable we cant take the risk of her catching it - may go and inflict myself on doc, dont think it will do him any harm Grin

BeauticianNotMagician · 13/10/2010 11:14

Mily I would say girlfriend. That is what DG introduced me as.

Elasta Yay to date.Is that someone you have been speaking to on a site?Double yay to Doc he does seem very keen.Definitely think you should share your germs with Doc.

I had a great night with DG last night. He cooked me a great meal and we snuggled up on the sofa talking for ages.He told me that he really cares about me and spoke about the holiday.I have invited him to a halloween party on the 30th and we spent ages laughing at the outfits online.

elastamum · 13/10/2010 11:32

Hiu Beaut. New man is from Times site. Very good looking and skis and sails like me.

Lives nearby, which is good, though I suspect he is not as funny as doc, or didnt seem to be on the phone, but you never know!

Quite keen on doc, apart from him living far too far away..

lou33 · 13/10/2010 11:54

Gf to people he knew, partner to people he didnt

BeauticianNotMagician · 13/10/2010 11:58

Elasta Goodness when do you get time to ski and sail Envy
Yes sometimes is hard to tell on the phone. It is nice to have dates.I expected to go on a few really didn't think i would meet someone i liked quite so soon.

mummyilubyou · 13/10/2010 12:13

cheers Elasta, Strawb. That was my view re Partner, but GF I dunno.....prob will go for that

Elasta, thanks for the comments, will have to post pic of the dress I'm going to wear Grin

mummyilubyou · 13/10/2010 12:16

sorry, had that post sitting not sent for ages as am alledgedly working

Elasta, good news re Doc and Times man (think you should call him the Milk Tray man with that description Grin)

BNM, liking the sound of last night, DG shaping up nicely

GF it is then

BeauticianNotMagician · 13/10/2010 12:21
