Monty100 · 29/09/2010 23:55

Flame - Envy at Bournemouth. I know it a bit as I go there for conferences sometimes (as you do) and lived in Hampshire many moons ago.

The train story isn't that funny, you prob need to know the station as it's brand new and so sterile, it's all stainless steel, lights and glass. It always makes me feel I'm in a sci-fi film you know with music in the background and stuff when I'm going up that escalator, so to see it humanised for once was very amusing.

I guess I should be in bed too. We have a team objectives talking shop day all day tomorrow. .

Nn all Smile.

Gah gah, laptop had hissy fit in the middle of msg to RAF and I had to faff about then realised I could use blackberry. Messaged him before I got back to you lot Blush muff before mates already!

So, I was being dense about town with airport, have now made connection, I thought you meant near heathrow Confused
I live between hemel and tring

Can't think of good nickname apart from RAF....he is aircraft engineer...if on Monday he proves to be brainy I may call him Rocket Scientist, or is that stretching it a bit?

He is nice and tall (6') and not stunning looking but fit and I am remembering the yummy prof and how that turned out so not getting too hung up on the looks thing

Flame, if you can handle the petrol but not accom costs, howsabout you stay chez mily?

Night all

[Grin]

Flamesparrow · 30/09/2010 09:24

Aww that's a nice offer MILY. Will see how this month's finances go :)

RAF seems as good a name as any. Never heard muff before mates before, only bros before ho's

lou33 · 30/09/2010 09:52

I lived in muirfield. Left because i hated living there and wasnt impressed with the secondary schools. When were you in cromer way?

I wonder if we overlapped!

elastamum · 30/09/2010 09:59

Hi MILY, Think I have worked out where you are B? RAF sounds interesting!

Sailor is an ex RAF aircraft engineer?? - dont think its the same bloke though, he isnt anything like 6ft Confused

Remotew · 30/09/2010 10:37

I went out with an ex RAF police officer once and a pilot. The PO was a couple of years ago, just before this thread started, and he left me broken hearted for all of about a week. Grin Liked him from the moment I saw him. I think it's the poise, upright, tall and handsome.

Flame, you going to the mumnset christmas meetup? Brave thing you!

As some of you know I'm up north so cannot meet you all.

12th November in my diary Smile

hatesponge · 30/09/2010 11:59

count me in for the 12th as well Grin should anyone require a bed for the night sarf of the river I am more than happy to put them up...as Ex told me yesterday, my house is too big for just me! (following on from his I'm so selfish comments)

bit of an odd situation re tomorrow and WM....our mutual friend (which always makes me think of the novel but can't think of another way of saying it!) asked me today if I knew about WM's meeting. he didn't say anything about me meeting WM after, so am guessing WM hasn't told him, and I didn't mention it. feels somewhat awkward now, especially as when I'm not in tomorrow morning, mutual friend will probably put 2 and 2 together. feel ever so Blush

can't believe all this fuss over what will probably be a 10 minute coffee. I really have no life Grin

lou33 · 30/09/2010 14:35

i never promise til i know for sure what my finances will be like, and its way too far away to know that for sure atm!

4 days since i sent that email to exh btw and still no reply

and dp is on the verge of walking out of his job, i wouldnt blame him tbh

Monty100 · 30/09/2010 15:52

Lou - I for one, will buy you a drink. Grin

Have just got out of talking shop meeting Shock. At least it finished a bit early.

aurorastargazer · 30/09/2010 16:19

lou33 · 30/09/2010 17:18

Lol thanks, i would like to be able to afford my own tho, call me stubborn!

I think i am falling apart anyway. Yesterday it was my back and today my shoulder again. All down to wear and tear from hoiking about ds2 and his wheelchair but it makes me feel past it. Told dp to trade me in :)

BeauticianNotMagician · 30/09/2010 18:07

lou33 · 30/09/2010 20:48

We must have just missed each other, i left 8 yrs ago

Remotew · 30/09/2010 21:52

Just been watching ITV player. DD has been on the local news today. She fluffed her interview so only said one word but hey, I've never been on TV!

Nearly weekend and I've got a night out planned for a change. Going for a meal with a work friend then for a few drinks, might meet Salesman as it's in his area.

Still not heard from local guy.

OP posts:
Monty100 · 30/09/2010 22:17

Flame - lol wonder what you were expecting Grin. I did have a little smile to myself going up the escalator this morning.

Eve - A star in the making Smile. Was it the news or something?

Lou - I'm happy to anyway. Hope you make it.

Looks like the 12th is fixed then. Now all we need is a venue.

Are we 'Stranding' or 'Euston/Kings Crossing'?? If its the Strand could you chose a venue SCL? If its E/KC I'll find somewhere.

MILY - that was a kind offer to Flame. I'd do the same for others but my house is always a tip by a Friday. Blush
