Hello!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Janos · 28/08/2010 09:59

That's a shame you can't meet up elastamum.

However, like nina says, it's a good way of sorting the wheat from the chaff, man wise.

Remotew · 28/08/2010 12:19

ASBM, DD did very well in the exams, she was expected to do well though! Just one disappointment but not the end of the world.

Congratulations to your DD eve!

Hi all - waves weakly -just surfacing after big nite out. We drunk the pub dry of white wine and someone (not me) decided to buy shots. I don't really drink them so just had a taste.

Eventually got home at 3am after going to a second bar with disco etc. My friend missed her train so came home with me.

Really fun evening - no monty though - hope you're ok monty?

MILU - I did a similar thing Thurs evening slipped and fellsmack down on a wet pier - was wearing mac and heels. Was with a friend and he picked me up. Bit shocked, pride hurt and sore ankle and bruised knee. Way to go!!!Wink This is a fairly typical thing for me - friend calls me Bridget Jones!!!

Lou - I Despair of your exh and understand how awful it must be.

Was very careful last nigt and avoided steps, water and boats. Got the bus home from night out.

Elasta - shame you can't see your man.

Waves weakly to everyone else.

mummyilubyou · 28/08/2010 16:28

to all

nice to see eve and asbm around

Had a meltdown last night over worky stress, dreadful night's 'sleep' including sweaty nightmare in which my neice was abducted on the way home from school - took me ages to shake from my head that it seemed so real.... so am ensconced at my folks' house for the weekend being mollycoddled which is lovely, thank goodness for them

eve, really glad to hear big dog on the mend and what the others said - if sailor sticks with the programme is a good sign

I am being v crap. I have date with GMM set for thurs, which is nice, but am now practically obsessing about the Prof. Blush

he read but didn't reply to my penultimate mail, then hasn't read or (obviously) replied to the most recent one, but has been online in the interim.......grrrr........am being v predictable - the more remote he is the more interested I am

am now treating it as personal challenge to get a date with him

how sad am I??

mummyilubyou · 28/08/2010 16:33

hey SCL , nice to hear I am not the only 1, totally forgot to ask how last night was, sounds like you had a great time - did Monty make it?

And also, Lou, god, what a nightmare you have had, and what a star your DP is

Janos · 28/08/2010 18:52

Ha ha, sounds like a good night SCL.

Fancy a nice greazzzy fry up? Grin

Mummy - think we have all been there with the remote types but ime they are not worth the bother. There's playing it cool and then there's just plain bloody rude.

Janos · 28/08/2010 18:55

Actually, I am getting quite intolerant of stupid behaviour in men generally and vee cynical so make of that what you will!

lou33 · 28/08/2010 20:21

he is a star

he took ds1 to work with him today, and he loved it

Flamesparrow · 28/08/2010 20:34

How's the head now? :o

I agree that the sailor will either pass with flying colours at the hold ups, or show himself not worthy.

:o @ prof stalking. I'd be the same though!

I'm in charge of second date with Carrot (next Saturday). What shall we dooooooooooooooo? We get on very well, and seem to make each other laugh a lot so I want to do something vaguely silly rather than standard date. At the moment he is refusing to tell me why he has regular trips to Bristol so the plan is to shine a light in his eyes and whip him til he caves (long story). But if that plan doesn't go ahead.... what shall we doooooooooooooooooo?

lou33 · 28/08/2010 20:36

dp says what about a theme park or a comedy club?

Flamesparrow · 28/08/2010 20:56

ooh comedy club could be good. Can't do theme park as I'm not good with rides

ninah · 28/08/2010 21:39

I am going to watch a horror film about lonely hearts killers. Aversion therapy. They target lonely wealthy women so I should will not be too alarmed.
Dc gone for a week. More daunting than I expected, have usually gone away.

elastamum · 28/08/2010 23:02

Hi all, just checking in as no date for me. Have been to see Salt with the boys, angelina Jolie and lots of violence - they loved it - did nothing for me Hmm

Have had a txt from sailor, so at least he isnt fed up and ignoring me.

Also have a new man from MSF who wants to meet. He is going to phone me tomorrow, will let you know what I think when I speak with him. Do wonder how I will feel about going on another date when I am keen on sailor though, although it is far too early to call it a relationship.

Mily, re the prof, I would'nt bother to make all the running. whenever I have done that it has been a waste of effort.

Comedy club sounds good for a date. Am planning that one for sailor!! The theme park is where I would go were they ever to meet the kids. Maybe one day Grin

lou33 · 28/08/2010 23:23

you could always try legoland lol

whereabouts are you anyway?

Flamesparrow · 28/08/2010 23:25

:o Legoland would be great! In Bournemouth.

He seems to like the sound of whips and interrogation Hmm:o

mummyilubyou · 28/08/2010 23:58

Evening

Well, the prof has replied enthusiastically and saying let's stop emailing and start talking on the phone which is a good sign methinks

Also, he has 2xdcs, similar age to mine so if he has had them for the day then less likely to be online flirting

We shall see, if he rings me in the next couple of days I'll guage level of keeness

That said, objectively I am quite struck by the effect all this is having on me. Feel a great deal less like 2 foot tall boobless minger which is how xh's behaviour on the porn chat rooms front left me. Have glimmer of optimism that some bloke might fancy me. And have definitely switched my own radar back to full effect Grin Prof is yummy

Flame, comedy night a good way forward methinks

Elasta, date with other bloke may well help give a fresh perspective on how you feel about sailor, good to keep your options open

Right, am turning in

Nn all

mummyilubyou · 29/08/2010 00:01

Oh dear, apologies for excessive use of 'methinks' Blush
Also, 2dcs, not xdcs, sounds like he has divorced his kids

I definitely need some sleep!

lou33 · 29/08/2010 01:09

flame lol @ whips

call his bluff, you can use mine Wink

what about somewhere like marwell zoo?

is that close by?

elastamum · 29/08/2010 09:21

hi Flame, How about the motor museum at Beaulea in the new forest. that is quite good fun. Or if you want a park Paultons on the M27 is quite near you. Are you meeting near bournmouth.

Mily, pleased to hear that the prof has finally started to get himself in gear. and good to hear that you are starting to feel good about yourself, its a sad fact that it tales a bit of interest to make us feel attractive.

Have been sent a phone number by MSF man, lets call him canadien, aparrently he has a canadien accent as he has lived all over the world. He has suggested that I call him this evening when it is convenient for me as he doesnt want to call when I am occupied with the kids. Will let you lnow what happens.

Today is going to be shopping for school shoes as mine go back next week. So it is a day of jobs for me and I have about 30 labels to sew on.

Weather is terible as usual which means sailor will have probably gone windsurfing on the north sea. He only goes out when it is really rough Confused

mummyilubyou · 29/08/2010 17:10

hey elasta

Canadien sounds interesting

I managed to get out for a bit of a shop today because my folks had the dds.......and of course I couldn't find anything!

The Herbert Museum in Coventry this afternoon which the girls enjoyed and a quick look at the cathedral(s) which I had not seen before

rock'n'roll Wink

no phone call from prof........

ninah · 29/08/2010 17:54

ah the Herbert is always being recommended to us mily! never made it yet. Do like the cathedral, esp the bombed bit. And the windows. We always end up in transport museum (yawn)
a watched phone never rings
good news re Canadian elasta, if nothing else he'll be good for the peace of mind in numbers pov

elastamum · 29/08/2010 19:28

Am going to cook dinner, put the kids to bed then phone him over a glass of wine.

No message from sailor, hope he hasnt fallen off his board Shock

ninah · 29/08/2010 20:03

dc free is meaning a lot of cuppa soup here
dinner in a mug, bliss!

mummyilubyou · 29/08/2010 20:18

Hey ninah, where are you, my folks in Leam Spa, hence trip to coventry. The bombed out cathedral was amazingly moving and atmospheric I must say

Dinner ina mug is spot on sometimes
