Hi everyone. Please forgive me for barging in when I haven't posted for a while but just had some news that has really thrown me for a loop.

In a nutshell, ex boyfriend has called me to advise that a 21 year old girl he has been having a fling with for a month is pregnant.

Why he felt the need to unburden himself to me I do not fucking know. I feel really angry and upset. Had a right go at him. Selfish, stupid, fucking arsehole.

Sorry for rant. Had a shock, feel upset and angry.

Janos · 26/08/2010 21:42

Sorry..went a bit ranty there.

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 21:59

Oh no, Janos Angry I haven't posted for ages either, but just wanted you to know your rant had been heard!
Why do ex's immediately think we should be their shoulder to cry on? Stupid wank-stain.

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:02

janos is this the dc's dad?
silly beggar
you ok?
mily forgot it's thursday still bed sitting and the outside world is begining to recede ...
have a lovely time! don't do anything I wouldn't (ergo stumbling around in mud crying with laughter and not being able to find your way home is fine)
monty I did think of bragging to HM but I've plastered it all over my fb, not really feeling the urge to contact him directly
one mate I haven't seen for 20+ years saw and invited me to concert
so far in my child free week I have - bbq Hmm, dinner, drinks, day in London, the jazz thing, an interview .. was hoping for a quiet one

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:03

no time for men!

Janos · 26/08/2010 22:05

Thanks FLF.

Teach me to be sympathetic, won't it?

Why did he bloody tell me. Wish he hadn't. Twat. This guy is a borderline alcoholic with anger issues who lives in a glorified bedsit.

Apparently its ok though, because she's 'very mature'.

Obviously, getting pregnant by and having unprotected sex with someone you've just met is the 'mature' thing to do these days Confused.

Janos · 26/08/2010 22:07

Hi ninah, no it's not DS' dad.

He's a paragon of responsible fatherhood compared to this tosser.

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 22:10

Well that's a small mercy, but something to be thankful for! Wink

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:11

He really shouldn't be dumping his emotional baggage on you
janos it is not your problem just thank goodness he is an ex and you don't have to take any more on board

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:12

In fact, just be v dispassionate
'oh, that all seems v sudden, good luck with it'
and don't get involved!

Janos · 26/08/2010 22:17

LOL, thanks nina and FLF. I know you're both right and already I'm starting to feel better.

You're quite right - he whined on that he thought I'd be sympathetic. I told him to grow the fuck up and put the phone down.

I then sent a text saying saying "Two things: 1)Look after the baby 2)Don't contact me again, ever.

Not the most mature considered response I know.

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:18

I think that response is fine
and to coin a phrase - NEXT!

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 22:21

Oh and hello to everyone else, now that I've re-emerged from hiding.

Glad to see so many of you are doing well on the dating front and that the marital sofa is still full. I'm impressed by all the new people on the thread- so much enthusiasm!

Sorry thaat things are a bit unsettled for you Monty.
Ninah that single bed is jinxed, I think you should go back to a double!

I joined POF earlier this week and am still in shock, it makes Ok Cupid look quite classy Hmm can't see me lasting long on there!

Poorshow, have you blocked messages from all the people wanting 'intimate encounters' etc? If yes, then I think it is just the site, sorry Sad

Janos · 26/08/2010 22:22

Ha ha cheers!

Have also been offered oot tomorrow so shall be taking up the invite. Onwards and upwards :).

And no, I won't be visiting a certain piano bar Grin.

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 22:22

Agree with ninah, that response was fine!

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 22:25

Yeah, stay away from there, although it's a shame 'cos it's a really nice place, save for the clientel! Oh well, the whole saga kept my friends amused HmmGrin

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:25

go janos!
good to see you back flf, stick around

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:27

what saga?

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 22:27

Janos, Is the new date from Ok C too?
I think I've just become too jaded, I look through the profiles and just think "maybe not!"

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:31

omg is it when you had same date venue?
I read somewhere about a new site called eharmony that matches you through a questionaire
need someone full of vitality to give it a road test
what happened to poorshow?

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 22:32

Janos ended up going on a date with someone that I'd dated previously, who was, well, not my dream man, but then persued me with emails for about 6 months after I finished with him (dated for about 6 weeks over chistmas).
Luckily for Janos, she saw through him after 1 date, but he still was stroppy when she said "thanks, but no thanks"

FairyLightsForever · 26/08/2010 22:33

I type too slowly!
I keep wondering about e-hamony, but I think it has religious overtones/ connections?

Janos · 26/08/2010 22:33

ninah - turned out that FLF and I dated the same bloke from OkC.

Will see if I can find a link to the thread..or maybe let FLF tell the story.

Am going over to a mates for tea (plus maybe summat a bit stronger) and sympathy. Looking forward to it :).

Seriously, thanks for listening. Was really knocked for six!

ninah · 26/08/2010 22:34
