Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Monty100 · 25/08/2010 17:29

Ermmmmmmmm Smooch is free, loads of wheat and chaf tho. I posted on your other thread btw. Others will be around later to share what sites they use, I'm not internet dating atm.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 25/08/2010 18:21

ninah that's fantastic news,i'm really proud of youGrin
will have one for you later!!

will endeavour to have a proper catch-up...but what's this about you meeting a bloke on hol?Wink

ninah · 25/08/2010 18:43

poorshow I think it's cos you look young fun and attractive
give it 10 years a few grey hairs and I think they'll calm down lol
love your hair
and yes I know your town a bit
mily lol at activity partners, sounds far too sporty and exhausting to me
thanks asbm! is good news indeed
the man is rather unattainable, sadly
i have recovered now Smile is only a chappie
still have the bloody bed though, no one turned up again
maybe that is a sign, too Grin

Monty100 · 25/08/2010 19:04

Ninah - the bed is going, ok??? Wink

ASBM - I'll be raising a glass in a while too. Smile

I'm having to sit up really late waiting for dd to get back from holiday, so if I start talking bollox again later it's 'cos I've been on the beers lol!

poorshow · 25/08/2010 19:39

ninah - if you know the town .. you dont happen to have any nice male friends here do you????

lol

sincitylover · 25/08/2010 19:39

poorshow lol at men from that area Wink

elastamum · 25/08/2010 20:46

Well no date for me. The only day he cant do this weekend is Friday night and I cant do Sat.

One of my dogs is also v ill, unable to walk. She is going back to the vets in the morning to be x rayed and see an orthopedic specialist. Its not looking good though, she is 40kg and unable to get up as her back legs have gone. She is only 5 Sad

mummyilubyou · 25/08/2010 20:47

ninah, you need new name howabout ninah_genius [wink}

or ninahmathswhizz

poorshow, am only on 2 sites, singlewithkids which is cheap but does my head in because all the men ever seem to do is send so-called ice-breakers (to multiple lists) to 'all the lovly laddies out ther' (sic)

meanwhile Guardian Soulmates seems more me but is a steep fee (which I signed up for after a glass or two Blush ) and tbh am making only glacial progress there.....

I took a look at eHarmony but having ploughed through the personality profile thingy it rejected me because I am still married, albeit separated (I did read in the guardian t'other day that it is a US site which is run buy a conservative christian right-winger type who disapproves of separated people on the hunt, or people who have been married >3 times Hmm)

mummyilubyou · 25/08/2010 20:50

elasta, sorry, didn't see your post, that is grim ref the dog

and sods law re date

ninah · 25/08/2010 21:41

elasta yes horrible about your dog
my aunt's dog has back leg probs, he is the age for it but is pitiful to watch, esp as he looks a combination of bewildered and resigned
shame about diaries too, is so frustrating
poorshow the only chap I know around there is my teenage dss (exdss I suppose) I rather suspect he would fairly happily fall into the sex pest category
I did have a brief affair 2o odd years ago - V odd years - with a mod called Darren from your town, but we did not stay in touch
mily you didn't like my Carol alias then? Grin
wish I could join you lot in raising a glass but the cellar is bare as I have been walled up in the house for 2 ways waiting for TNT

mummyilubyou · 25/08/2010 22:08

I did like carol but you came and went with it pretty quickly and you're ninah so was thinking of recognisable variations

hurray, have finally got through after 20 mins holding about techie prob with telly

elastamum · 25/08/2010 22:27

Hi all, Have just spoken to sailor, who was very understanding about my dog as he has 2 of his own. He says he will call me tomorrow.

Am off to give the dog a cuddle. Normally she would sleep on my bed but she cant get up the stairs so is on a matress in the garden room. the other dogs are curled up near her Sad

mummyilubyou · 25/08/2010 22:28

gosh

just googeled the high-powered subject specialism of Surrey man (who I should rename The Professor) and I have found him. Which is kind of odd iyswim. His University dept contact details, email, everything. Really strange since he has not shared this with me - feel like a stalker Blush

really wish he would email me back as he looks lovely

did I mention I need a snog ?? Hmm

mummyilubyou · 25/08/2010 22:29

oh elasta, I have done it again, wittering on inanely

glad sailor has the right instincts and empathy, another good sign

and glad that your pooch has her pals to keep her company

Monty100 · 25/08/2010 22:38

Elasta - Sad poor doggie. I hope something can be done.

MILY - sounds interesting! I wouldn't worry about being a stalker. It's what the internet's for Grin.

Ninah - good god woman, how is your cellar empty??? Shock

ninah · 26/08/2010 09:26

the usual way monty
rolls up sleeves and glares at bed waiting to go
mily i used to find safety in numbers. ie don't get tooo keen on one particular chap at least until dating stage Smile
nb self to take own advice

hatesponge · 26/08/2010 10:41

ninah - know what you mean re numbers. i try this but it never works, see previous posts re WM :)

I have the reverse wine problem - Ex left about 50 bottles at mine (he was too busy taking half the furniture when he left to remember the wine!) but I rarely drink at home so is all gathering dust/getting corked Shock

elasta - any news re doggie? am keeping fingers crossed the vet can do something for her :(

Monty/scl - am hoping i may be able to duck out of work thing early-ish so might still make it up to London. will keep you posted :)

no news here, other than keep having dreams about WM every night. Not of the Blush sort really, last night's one involved me arranging for him to do some building work at my friend's house Hmm.

elastamum · 26/08/2010 10:53

hi All,

Well dog has gone to the vet this morning to be x rayed and I am waiting at home for them to call. She can barely walk and needs a general anasthetic as she is in a lot of pain and really too big to handle easily. So I am at home waiting and trying to work.

Said to sailor I would speak to him later and let him know what I am doing this weekend depending on the dog. Supposed to be going away with the kids but wont be able to take the dog or leave her behind so we will be at home in the rain.

Just hoping they can do something for her Sad

Mummy, if it makes you feel better I always check anyone I am dating out on line if I am going to meet them more than once, just to see if they are who they say they are. So far everyone I have met has been honest which is a good sign. Most people are scarily easy to trace - I know I am and because of the area I have worked in I never ever post personal stuff anywhere under my RL name.

ninah · 26/08/2010 14:48

lol there is a baby names thread on Monty
they seem to thinks it's a bit too posh monts
any news elasta?

elastamum · 26/08/2010 16:25

Good news (ish) Dog has torn both ACL's (knee ligaments) so at least it isnt hip problem. They think it will be fixable. Going to have 2 repair operations - will cost thousands but hopefully insurance will pay most of it. She is back home downstairs lying on her matress doped up to the eyeballs but not in pain at least.

Feel so relieved and much happier - she is our eldest dog was my main source of comfort when ex left us so is really important in our family.

And I might even get that date. Au pair says she is around this weekend and as we cant go away because of dog, maybe, just maybe, I can go out Smile

ninah · 26/08/2010 16:36

ooh all good news, that's fantastic!

mummyilubyou · 26/08/2010 17:13

so I haven't had the chance to eat much, 1 of those days Hmm but am off t'pub anyway

elasta, hope pooch doing ok

lol at posh monty Grin

interesting exchange of emails with The Prof and Green Man Man, also another who likes boules, so what shall we call him? Grin

to everyone, catch you later

mummyilubyou · 26/08/2010 17:16

ooh, elasta, that's all really good, fingers X

Monty100 · 26/08/2010 17:48

Elasta - that's all good news Smile.

Ninah/Mily - of course Monty is posh Hmm Grin. I'll go have a look for a titter.

Ninah - Have you thought about contacting HM to share your good news? I think it would be an ice-breaker??

MILY - what is the hold up with Prof??? Lol at Boulesman.

Monty100 · 26/08/2010 17:52

Actually, ref Boulesman, as I'm posh, we could call him Pétanqueman Grin Grin
