MrsR - good news on school! We were at the Drayton on Sunday - kids running in the garden and us getting sozzled. There were lots of sporty things on, but (un)fortunately neither DH nor I ever ever watch any sports on TV! Last time I watched football was on a houseboat on the Murray river in Oz during one of those recurring nightmares world cups.

MrsRecycle · 03/03/2009 11:30

slng - we were drayton bound but didn't make it that far. dh and df ended up in there around 6pm (I had to get a cab home to pick up LOs).

sfxmum · 03/03/2009 11:33

mrsR congrats our school allocation is at the end of March

slng the description was all going great until you mentioned being made to watch the world cup actually that might be one of the few times I watch football while DH mocks me

and btw am all for celebrating birthday

MrsRecycle · 03/03/2009 11:54

bull by the horn

slng · 03/03/2009 13:07

sfx - hate football on TV but quite enjoy it when taking DSs to the park. Trying to teach DS1 to kick a ball properly, which I know all about because I read it in a book 25 years ago!

sfxmum · 03/03/2009 13:24

slng - about football on telly or live for that matter, it can be quite good exciting etc especially if you have no affiliation to the teams and the have a good game and skilled players, sometimes it is quite beautiful to watch
dh does not watch telly

dd seems all cheerful but looking very tired saw a woman with a clipboard in the classroom I expect they are being inspected

have decided to do a business course probably starting in May

OP posts:
pcworld · 03/03/2009 14:02

pcworld · 03/03/2009 14:04

sfxmum · 03/03/2009 14:31

SJ the first one runs from May to Oct and by then I should be starting another one to add up to degree, likely to carry on for a few years but that is fine, I feel like I need some solid knowledge for the business thing

Eh?

MrsRecycle · 03/03/2009 16:17

Kew are you coming to your celebratory meal on 13th? We can crack open the champers then!

Sfx well done on the course, sounds like your plans are coming together.

slng · 03/03/2009 16:37

If Kew doesn't come we'll have her celebratory champers without her!

The best thing to do about Lent is to not know about it. What is lent? In fact, don't tell me.

ComeOVeneer · 03/03/2009 19:03

Oh just a quick pop in, do we have something planned for the 13th?

slng · 03/03/2009 19:43

Hello!

All beasts and monsters quietly in bed!

Finally got round to reading Ian McEwan's Atonement. It's not bad, is it, if you can hang around for about a third of the book threatening something bad ...

MrsRecycle · 03/03/2009 19:51
