fitfox · 05/12/2007 13:07

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 13:36

sushi and steppie finally worked out who the bloke is - I hate being obsessive

paddle the only thing I can do is babysit for a few hrs if you need it , otherwise don't drive or have car

SushiMummy · 05/12/2007 14:02

sfx, really!!! wow! who is he? Pretty pleaeeeese!!!

foxie, yes I think we double paid at xmas, too. or maybe gave her a paid week.

SushiMummy · 05/12/2007 14:04

sorry, foxie, I meant we gave the cleaner the week off and paid.

sfx, is he Ben Elton?

rosmerta · 05/12/2007 14:09

I thought he might be Mark Haddon?! I'm rubbish at guessing things though

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 14:10

am I supposed to out him in a public forum?
isn't that bad form?
just seen his real name in thread on non fiction

I really should get a life but am feeling particularly rubbish today and trying to stop self from stuffing face so will indulge in childish pursuits

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 14:11

no none of those not that famous unless you really like popmusic and sci fi

rosmerta · 05/12/2007 14:16

sfx, you could email me it !

rosmerta · 05/12/2007 14:17

Think we might just stay in this afternoon and decorate some more xmas cards! Weather's too crap to venture outside & I've already got soaked today!

SushiMummy · 05/12/2007 14:18

sfx, I'm rubbish at sci-fi and popmusic! BC? Oh pleeeeese!

rosmerta · 05/12/2007 14:20

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 14:21

Paddlechick666 · 05/12/2007 14:47

wow! you guys are fabulous. thanks so much for the offers of help.

i threw a hissy fit on John Lewis and they are trying to courrier the items out today. need to call them shortly and check on progress.

the laminate flooring has gone down heaps better now we stopped trying to use warped planks! it should be finished tonight.

i feel like i'm back on track with my schedule a bit now. just sent ma over with a car load of wine boxes, unfortunately only full of cds/dvds/books not wine!

plumber says i can't have a dishwasher at the moment

next logistic to juggle is the virginmedia guy. i need to be in for him but i also need to collect dd which should only be a 30min round trip. hopefully he'll come early like the JL guys did!

thanks again all, really appreciate all the offers. if anyone has a desperate urge to do some un-packing we'll be home sunday!

have roped in foxies ex-lodger and his mate to do some lifting saturday arvo.

i swear, if i ever talk of moving again someone put me in a straigh-jacket!

rosmerta · 05/12/2007 14:55

Paddle, sorry I can't help this weekend but I can cook some food & bring any other stuff you need if that helps

Kewcumber · 05/12/2007 15:15

will you bring some around for me too pls Ros (still have book for you)

Kewcumber · 05/12/2007 15:17

Paddle - can't imagine anything I'd like to do more than help you unpack on Sunday - if I bring DS will Paddlette be there to fight play with whilst we do some unpacking?

Kewcumber · 05/12/2007 15:19

isn't 2cute fairly local? Why don;t you invite her over - she like to be asked to help ratehr than the otehr way around IYSWIM.

I have had a few emails to/from her and have suggested Kew Gardens as a present. She said it was very thoughful but didn't say yes. However I have pointed out that she has to have something or I will run off with the money and none of you would like that. Waiting to hear from her if there is anything else she would prefer.

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 16:44

foxie was looking at my camera and I seem to have a number of pictures of your DS1 nostrilsquite artistic might enter in for Turner prize

SJ99 · 05/12/2007 17:52

Glad things are going better re: move Paddle. Am carless this week and away at wkend but if you need any help unpacking next week shout out

Can also bring food round too

Have also adorned Christmas cards today followed by trip to docs, his chest is fine but they will refer DS to peadiatrician re:weight.

fitfox · 05/12/2007 19:33

Rose yes you can bring some round here too

sfx - LOL!! He's actually nto a abad photographer for a 7 yr old!

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 19:41

SJ are you concerned about ds's weight?
sometimes they can make quite a fuss unnecessarily

foxie there is a very artistic one of you ds2 seen trough a curtain of your hair

dd has spent the day insisting she can do everything herself and flinging stuff on the floor looking for whatever she is permanently looking for, that along with extreme 'NO I don't want to' has made me really tired

hope she sleeps better because I need some rest
does anyone fancy braving lollipop or kew tomorrow?

SJ99 · 05/12/2007 20:06

Mini SFX = Miss Independant, a great deal of patience is needed sometimes as a parent, hope she will be a bit more chilled tom so you get some rest

Not sure where to start with Ds weight, long story... He does need regular monitoring esp after being ill as he doesn't carry that extra fat that other kids do so when he gets ill he suffers, plus he's a fusspot eater & it's hard to get the calories in him. They will monitor his allergies etc and we'll see if they can offer any assitance with his diet... I'm keeping an open mind

Might come along to Kew tom, can I let you know in the morning depending on what time Ds gets up & what mood he's in etc?

SJ99 · 05/12/2007 20:09

Sushi, my friend didn't make it to Gymboree, stomach upset occurred in the night so she had to stay at home with her daughter. Hope you enjoy it though

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 20:16

SJ ok if I go might do it in the morning 11 or so I think the carousel is up and running.
I quite like miss independence just wish she was quieter in her insistence when I have a headache
dh has taken over during dinner and is now dealing with bath.

sorry about the weight business I can see it is different case altogether
it's just that a friend of mine had huge problems with doctors with both her kids who are deemed too small, but she is Brazilian and very petite so the kids should not really be measured by usual British standards, and they are fine but at one stage she even had dealings with social workers all very upsetting for them.
